The taste of the chicken wings came as a great surprise!
Mo Kun took a bite of the stuffed chicken wing and said with delight, "Oh, this so-called ancient style of cooking stuffed chicken wings is, in fact, to remove the bones from the wings, stuff them with diced mushroom and shredded pork, and then stir-fry until they are cooked."
Long Xi smiled and said, "You have very good taste buds, how do you know what is inside, after only one bite?"
Seeing that grandma had just gone to the bathroom, Mo Kun smiled vaguely and said, "My tongue is good but your teeth are stronger than it. Every time it wants to dive straight into your mouth, your teeth fight hard against it."
Long Xi's face turned as red as cooked shrimp. What? Why did he suddenly say something so nauseating!
Mo Kun pointed to the right side of his mouth and said, "There are crumbs around your mouth."
Long Xi touched the right corner of her mouth but found nothing.
"Silly, it's here!" Mo Kun put his lips close to Long Xi, kissed the left corner of her mouth and ate the shredded meat on her mouth.
Long Xi did not expect to be kissed by him so suddenly and she felt ashamed and annoyed. She was about to tell him off when her grandma came out from the bathroom.
Long Xi could only glare at Mo Kun, who just giggled.
Grandma sat back at the table, lowered her head and continued to eat slowly.
Long Xi stomped hard on Mo Kun's foot under the table.
Mo Kun made a very exaggerated expression of pain.
Long Xi couldn't help but smile.
Then Mo Kun asked Long Xi seriously, "Is being a chef one of your dreams?"
Long Xi said in a haughty tone, "I won't tell you."
Mo Kun turned and asked grandma, "Grandma, is being a chef one of Xixi's dreams?"
Grandma answered with a smile, "Yes, her fourth dream is to open a private restaurant in a beautiful place. She even chose the name "Starry Private Restaurant" because she likes the painting Starry Sky, by Van Gogh."
Long Xi pouted and said, "Grandma!" Why did you tell him?"
Mo Kun made a face at Long Xi and said, "Oh I see."
Grandma smiled and said, "Kun is not a stranger."
Mo Kun smiled and said, "Grandma, I would like to be your grandson-in-law."
Long Xi raised her brows and looked annoyed, but he ignored it.
Grandma was stunned, looked at Long Xi with concern and said, "Xixi is still young and I don't want her to fall in love so soon. Kun, don't be ridiculous! You can simply be sworn brother and sister!"
Mo Kun was shocked. He didn't expect that grandma's mind would work so fast and now it was Long Xi's turn to make a complacent face at him.
Mo Kun smiled and tried to change the subject. "Grandma, you are so funny! Haha, it seems that Long Xi has inherited your cleverness and quirkiness! Let's just ignore what I've said just now. Listen, I'll tell you a joke."
Mo Kun was pretty good, and he told one-third of the jokes from the Jokes Collection book he had, which made grandma grin widely from ear to ear and also managed to successfully change the topic.
Long Xi was a very filial granddaughter, in addition to chatting to Mo Kun, she constantly served grandma the dishes that she liked.
They ate and talked cheerfully and enjoyed themselves.
After the meal, Mo Kun wanted to return quickly to his "base camp" to help Long Xi invent the luminous fabric. He told them that he had some urgent business to attend to and had to leave.
Therefore, Long Xi sent Mo Kun downstairs.
Mo Kun stood under the dim street lights and said to Long Xi, "Thank you, this is the first time in my life that I felt so much at home."
His well-shaped fingers fell on Long Xi's forehead, crossed her eyebrows to the nose, and finally landed on her lips, stroking it tenderly.
Long Xi raised her hand subconsciously to try to push away his hand and she was so shy that her ears turned red. She was afraid that her grandma was looking at them from the balcony on the third floor!
Although grandma has turned 82, she was still alert and her eyes and ears were still functioning well!
Master Mo Kun was quite reckless, and he would not give up until he had reached the goal.
He pursed his thin lips and put her hands behind her back, so that he could get closer to her
He was so close that she quickly clung on to him, and could even feel the warmth of his body.
After hearing her intense heartbeat, his deep eyes were full of affection, as if it was the warmth arising from a deep cold pool of a thousand years.
He said in a chilling yet alluring tone of voice, "One day, you will be willing to be my woman."
Then, against her wishes, he leaned over and kissed her lips tenderly, plundering the fragrance of her mouth.
She tried to push him away, but could not, as he stood in front of her like a unmoving statue.
Long Xi caught a glimpse of her grandmother standing on the third-floor balcony and looking towards them. She clenched her fists and bit his tongue with her teeth.
He suddenly withdrew, lifted her chin and said with a smug smile, "It seems that your teeth are still sharp!"
Then he lifted his wrist so that Long Xi could see his precious diamond-encrusted watch. Long Xi smiled and said, "It is 8:49 in the evening."
Mo Kun smiled and said, "I am not showing you the time! Xixi, remember this moment, because it belongs to me and you."
Long Xi said with a smile, "What? Isn't that a line from Leslie Cheung in the old movie Days of Being Wild? You are so unimaginative. Didn't you grow up in a foreign country? How is it that you were able to watch such old movies from Hong Kong and Taiwan?"
Mo Kun thought quickly and started to justify himself immediately. "There are Chinatowns in foreign countries! And there are many VCDs sold in Chinatowns, many of them featuring old movies from Hong Kong and Taiwan! You were not born yet when Leslie Cheung committed suicide by jumping off a building, right? How come you've seen his movies?"
Long Xi said, "That is because I've watched many old movies and listened to many old songs with my grandma, who is a big fan of such things. Anyway, old movies and songs express different kind of romances, which make people unwittingly nostalgic. Especially the movies starring Leslie Cheung and Stephen Chow, I have seen almost all of them."
Mo Kun smiled and said, "You just said that you want me to be creative? Well, I'll try to please you. It is very troublesome to like you, but I just like to ask for trouble."
Long Xi couldn't help laughing at what he said. This guy was always spouting cheesy lines, did he think he was like Casanova?
Long Xi suddenly felt tired and she yawned.
What was happening? Her head suddenly became so heavy that she could barely open her eyes.
She seemed a bit unsteady and her body was swaying as if she was drunk.
Mo Kun wanted to hold her, but found himself to be drowsy and unsteady too.
Right now Long Xi looked like a myriad of overlapping avatars in his eyes, each of which was slanting and shadowy.
d.a.m.n, did someone put sleeping pills in the dishes just now? It's impossible!
Long Xi had checked carefully when she was out and back that the portcullis of the irony gate and the balcony were all locked and there were no signs of forced entry.
In view of the ventilation, the window at the south of the living room was left open. The gap between the window sills was relatively small, which made it impossible for a man to get in. Apart from this, all the other windows were all closed.
The cooked broth was placed on the stove and the other raw materials and cooked dishes were all kept in the kitchen refrigerator. This meant that it was difficult for anyone to reach out from the window sill, even with a bamboo pole.
Could it be a drone? It was possible. The s.p.a.ce between the window sills was enough for a small drone to enter.
The pot of broth that was used for cooking the dish of boiled cabbage was covered with a lid.
However, if the drone was installed with a camera and something like electric pliers, it could locate where the lid was, and could be remotely controlled to lift the lid up and set it aside by clamping the top of the lid.
