~The Facility~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jessy was lying down on her bed and hugging the teddy bear Adam has given her when he was still alive.
She roamed her eyes around the room. Aside from her bed, the only furniture present in the room was one small round table with two chairs. Majority of the rooms in the Middle part of the Facility where vampires were living was simple, bare and only contains basic furniture. The bathroom was a bit smaller compared to her bathroom in the mansion. But she was fine with everything in this room.
When you're hiding along with the vampires, basic necessities were the norm. She thought to herself.
She was in the middle of her musing when she heard a knock on the door.
When she opened the door to her utter astonishment, it was Hanna.
The woman smiled shyly at Jessy.
"Hi Jessy..." she said.
"h.e.l.lo...wazz up?" Jessy was greatly puzzled to see Hannah on her doorsteps.
"C-can we talk?" Hannah said in a low voice.
Jessy was hesitating for a split second. "Okay. Come in," she opened the door wide for her to enter.
She let the woman sat down on the chair in front of the round table. Jessy took the opposite chair facing her visitor.
"What can I do for you?" she asked.
Hannah fidgeted on the chair.
"Hmm, I just want to ask a favor from you," she said.
"What kind of favor?" Jessy frowned.
"If you and Prince Zain already married, can I continue serving him? I'm also willing to serve you and your children. Just allow me to continue serving the Prince," her voice was low.
Jess' eyes widened. "Oh..."
That's all she can manage to say.
Hannah stared at the floor beneath her feet. "I know it's not proper to ask this from you as his future wife, but I grow up with Prince Zain and he is everything to me. I can't live without him by my side. That is why am offering you my services. I will do anything for you as long I can continue seeing the Prince on daily basis."
Jessy appraised the woman's face earnestly.
"You love him?" she finally asked.
Hannah did not reply right away, she was hesitating to open up to Jessy.
A moment later...Hannah finally found the courage to express her heart's desire, she started talking.
"I do love him with all my heart. But he does not love me the way I love him. He only sees me as a friend and nothing more. But he loves you even if he does not know you that well. I envy you. You got his heart but I got nothing. But I don't hate you, just that am hoping you can grant me the favor am asking you. As long I can see the Prince every day, serve him, am satisfied with that. I'm afraid that when you two finally get married I won't be able to spend enough time with him. That you will eventually cut me away from him."
Jessy sighed. She can see the other woman's eyes starting to water. What she saw right now is a woman so in love she was willing to swallow her pride. She pitied her somehow.
Jessy was about to say...'Okay, you can have the Prince to yourself. I don't mind,' but she stops herself from voicing aloud her own thoughts.
"Okay. I will grant you your wish. You can continue serving the Prince as much as you want. Hope you are happy now."
Hannah's face brightened up, her smile radiated across her face.
"Thank you so much. I didn't expect you would consent to it. Just that my request is so outrageous am afraid you will feel angry just by hearing it."
"Nah. Am completely okay with it," said Jessy.
Jessy shrugged her shoulders. She has no plan in marrying the Prince. With the way, he treated her she rather die than marry him. She still has two months left to create a plan to sabotage the wedding. She will push through with the prophecy of transforming the other vampires into humans with her blood, she will fulfill her promise to Adam. But it's the wedding part that she has no plan to honor.
Silence enveloped around them. They were lost in their own thoughts.
Five minutes later...the awkwardness returns.
Finally, Hannah rose to her feet and gave Jessy a wonderful and grateful smile. "Thank you so much for being understanding and being kind to me. I'm just a stupid woman who is in love with a guy who doesn't love me. Hope you had forgiven me."
Jessy shrugged her shoulders. She smiled brightly at the woman just to make her feel alright.
"I have to go out now and sorry for disturbing you." Hannah bowed to Jessy as a sign of respect and sauntered towards the door.
Hannah gave Jessy a shy smile before she closed the door.
Jessy was still staring into the closed door. Her brain was trying to rewind what she and Hannah have been discussing earlier.
It was so bizarre!
She shook her head many times.
A moment later, another knocked on the door can be heard.
When Jessy opened it, Princess Abigail's smiling face greeted her.
"Can I come in?"
"Yes of course. Be my guest," Jessy replied with a broad smile on her lips.
"I waited for you in the dome garden, but you weren't there. So I came here instead."
Princess Abigail squealed when she saw the big brown teddy bear on Jess' bed. She hopped into the bed and hugged the teddy bear with great delight.
"Wow, what a cute teddy bear you had! It's so adorable and so soft!" she exclaimed.
"It's a present from Adam," said Jessy.
Princess Abigail smiled. "Aww, my brother is very sweet!"
The Princess continue hugging the teddy bear, while she threw Jessy a questioning glance. "By the way, I saw Hannah came out from your door earlier. What she's doing here in your room?"
"She just asks me if I want or need something...because the Prince ordered her to extend her services and a.s.sistance to me as well," lied Jessy.
"Ah, okay." The Princess dropped the subject and focus her attention back to the cute teddy bear beside her.
Jessy has decided to lie to the Princess, there are some things she rather kept to herself.
Princess Abigail straightens up and roamed her eyes inside Jess' room.
"Your room is bland and simple, we can request mother to add some furniture or appliances to it," she suggested.
Jessy shook her head. "Nah, don't bother. We won't live here forever, no need to beautify or upgrade this room," she replied.
"Okay. As you say so," the Princess smiled at Jessy. "I have to go now, feeding time," she winked at her.
"Bye Abigail..."
"Bye Jess...see you around."
Jessy waved at the Princess while she exited the door.
She readied herself because anytime now, her mother would fetch her for dinner. She and her mother would often eat their breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the cafeteria located in the Outer part of the Facility. There...they can mingle with other human staff and human workers. While his father fed on human blood that was being rationed proportionally to all vampires in the Middle part of the Facility.
She combed her hair in a ponytail, adjusted her jacket and went out of her room.
