Their kisses and make out session so hot and heated that it's all he's been thinking all day long at work.
All of a sudden he would smile to himself without any specific reason.
He goes through his work at the beauty parlor floating in cloud nine. He felt lightheaded, so energetic that time flies so fast.
The day gradually turns into night.
He was actually looking forward to the darkness of the night so that he can continue dreaming of his lovely Jessy.
When he and Caden lay down in their makeshift bed in front of the jewelry store, he was expecting Jessy to appear anytime soon. But he was disappointed because she never comes. He awakens three times during the night expecting her lovely face gazing intently at his face. Instead, what he saw filling his vision was the twinkling stars above showing their spectacular display up in the sky.
"I love you so much, Jess!" he mumbled to himself.
He drifted back into oblivion with a silly smile on his lips.
<~~~~~>>>
The next day was the same as yesterday. Nothing special happened with him and Caden's life.
Adam was looking forward to the night to come.
When the night finally arrived. Caden already fell asleep before he even hit his back on the cardboard box.
Adam smiled at his friend's face.
He settled both his hands at the back of his head making it as his pillow and gazed openly at the stars above. A smirked was hovering on his lips while stargazing. Then Jess' smiling face starts floating in his vision. He smiled even more.
Fifteen minutes later...
He finally got tired with his musing and his eyelids start dropping...
But before he finally succ.u.mbs to the world of sleepiness, he caught something out of the corner of his eyes, a woman wearing a flowing cloak was walking towards him, then she halted in front of him without even looking at him and continued walking past him.
"M-Mother!" his voice was caught on his throat.
Dang!
How does his mother know he is alive?!
He scrambled to his feet and in seconds time followed his mother who was walking ahead of him in a relaxed manner.
When he caught up with her, she threw him a smile.
They went to an alley opposite to where he and Jessy were snogging the previous night.
The moment they were out of sight...
The Queen embraces his son tightly, tears of happiness were already streaming down her face.
"My son! My son! You're indeed alive! I'm so happy to see you again!"
Adam stared at his mother's face misty-eyed. He was elated to see his mother as well. It's been ages since they last saw each other.
"Mother, why did you try to save me from death?"
"What a silly question you had my son! Of course, I will do anything in my power to save you. How can't I? No mother in her right mind would let their son die without trying anything to save him."
She pinched his cheek fondly, her face radiating with joy. "Now look at you, you turn out to be a very good looking young man. The curse was finally gone and you are free! This is your true self. This is you without the curse!" she exclaimed in glee.
"You have no idea how happy I am right now to see you alive and looking so handsome and dashing!" the Queen continues blabbering in a merry voice. From time to time tears of happiness spilled out from her eyes.
She continues facing back and forth in the cold pavement, she had a hard time containing her euphoria.
After a few minutes of jubilation, she suddenly stops her frantic pacing in front of her son and wore a serious face.
"Hmm, let this matter remains a secret between you and me, son. You can't tell anyone you are alive. Only you, me and Aida know this secret. Your father and your brother will surely kill me and Aida once they found out we are conspiring to feed you Jess' blood. You understand, son?"
Adam sighed deeply. "Yeah. I understand you, Mother."
She smiled fondly at her son. "Good!"
"Wait, I don't want to see you sleeping in the street again! I hate to see you in that distressing condition. It made my heart ache. Now, take this!"
The Queen, dropped a pouch on Adam's hands, this time a much bigger pouch compared to Nana Aida, it was weighing heavily on his palm, no need to see what's inside.
"Take that pouch of gold with you wherever you go. It will help uplift your living condition tremendously. You don't have to work. You can spend your whole life living a rich man's life. You don't need to worry if you run out of gold, I will give you a steady supply of gold anytime you want."
Suddenly the Queen paused...
"With one condition, son!"
Adam stared at her mother's face with apprehension. He had already guessed what the condition will be.
"Stay away from Jessy!" she said in a serious tone.
"B-but...Mother!" he whined.
"No but's, Adam! Listen to me, you can't reveal yourself to Jessy. Your brother doted so much on Jessy. They will have a wedding in three months time, you just can't go back into their lives and destroy their peace. You have to go somewhere far away...I don't care where it was. Out of the country much better. The farther you distance yourself away from them the better for your brother and Jessy."
"You have to do this for your brother, you owe him one, after all, you betrayed him behind his back by falling in love with his future wife! It's an unforgivable mistake, my son," she said sadly.
She started crying not for happiness, but this time she cried because of sorrow and distress pertaining to the whole situation. Both of her two sons were falling in love with the same woman.
Adam can't bear to see her mothers sadness and tears.
"Alright mom, I will obey your orders. Please stop crying now," he said.
The Queen wiped her tears away with the back of her hand.
She let out a deep sigh.
"I have to go back to the Facility now. Or else your father will start looking for me." The Queen fished out a calling card from the pocket of her dress and gave it to Adam.
"Call or contact this person. She's one of my dearests trusted human friend. You can ask her for any a.s.sistance or advice. She will help you all the way. I already instructed her to help you with paper works in obtaining and establishing your new ident.i.ty. Once everything is well taken care of, you will have a new name, new ident.i.ty and a brand new life ahead of you."
Adam stared hard at the calling card. "But Mom, I don't wanna go abroad! I wanted to remain in this country."
"Fine. Just go anywhere far, and remember don't try to contact Jessy. The sooner she can forget you the better for her and your brother. Do you understand me?"
"Okay," he said meekly.
The Queen hugged her son for the last time. "Don't find me I will find you, son. From now on forget, Jessy. She now belongs to your past. Look up ahead and focus on the bright side that is waiting for you. I want you to enjoy your life," she kissed his forehead lovingly.
Adam nodded and bid his mother goodbye. "Goodbye mother," he said mournfully.
"Trust me...Mother knows best, everything that I did was for your own good and benefits. Goodbye son, 'till we meet again," the queen took five steps away from Adam and instantly vanished into the night.
Adam closed his eyes.
His heart was getting heavier. How can he forget Jessy entirely?
A new life, a new ident.i.ty, and a new beginning...
That would at least cheer him up. ~~~~~>
