She turned around and hovered closer to the figure who was hiding behind the dense bushes looking intensely at the couple...the man was about to go forward into the clearing.
Jessy's eyes widen when the figure was holding a knife in his right hand. She immediately freezes the guy, after freezing him she went closer to inspect his face, she was shocked to discover who was the lurker!
Holly Molly!
It's the missing leader of the savage vampire!
Dammit!
She had suspected that he has been watching the couple a few minutes earlier and was waiting for the right time to attack! Right now he was moving forward stealthy...about to launch an attack to the unsuspecting couple, if she did not notice the guy right away, Hannah and Zain could be in danger!
While the leader was in a frozen estate, she examined his nape again, dang! Why is it that there was no sign of Eight Point Star Symbol on his nape?
This discovery made her confused again. Does it mean he's not an enemy?
But he was the leader of the savage vampire, therefore he is an enemy with or without the symbol.
Whatever! this is not the time to argue internally, she needs to bring the couple back to the Facility immediately before the royal couple will discover their disappearance.
She made herself visible again and appeared in the clearing...
"There you are...h.e.l.lo guys!" Jessy said aloud, feeling relieved that it did not take her so long time to comb the forest, she finally found them safe and sound.
The couple stood up abruptly, they were taken aback by the sight of Jessy!
Hannah gasped and covered her mouth with her hands, she did not expect to see Jessy here in the forest! How did she know? Did Princess Abigail tell Jessy that they went outside?
"J-Jess! Let me explain..." she said nervously, her voice quivering...but she recovered easily because Jessy's face did not register any sign of anger.
"W-who told you that we're here?" Zain looked at Jessy, although he hated her with just the mere sight of her, it melted his heart away, she will always be his wife no matter what, the one that got away, the one he thought his...but never was his...in the first place.
Jessy released a deep sigh. "Princess Abigail is worried to death of you guys taking so long to come back from your rendezvous outside the Facility. The poor girl is freaking nervous because you guys forgot to come back at the agreed time. Therefore, I volunteer to find you here in the forest. Haven't you inhaled enough fresh air already? It's now time to go back home kids!" she said wryly, she was not raising her voice at them because she has no right to chastise them, however, these two matured adults were acting like children. "Common let's go!" she said urgently.
Hannah walked towards Jessy but Zain didn't budge from where he was standing.
Jessy watched Zain's face intently, the stubbornness was now back in his face in full force.
"I will no longer go back to that forsaken room!" Zain declared in a loud voice, his eyes were gleaming with resentment.
Both women looked at Zain, frowning.
Hannah did not expect the sudden shift of Zain's att.i.tude, the gentle as a lamb face of Zain was now set in a hard stone. "Zain, please let's go back home now," she begged. "We've been gone for more than two hours, we need to go back to the Facility before your parents will discover our disappearance and they will surely get angry at me," she said.
"Zain, come on! Let's go back now to the facility," Jessy tried to persuade him as well.
"No! I will stay in this forest from now on! You go back and just leave me alone!" he barked. "Just tell my parents I'm already dead," he yelled at them, ignoring their pleas.
Jessy breathed deeply. Shaking her head, she looked at Hannah. "You go back now in the Facility, Hannah! Let me handle him," she commanded the girl, greatly worried about the pregnant woman's condition.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw Zain darted out of the clearing and run like crazy into the woods.
When Hannah turn around, she was horrified to see Zain already gone from the clearing. "W-where is he? W-where did he go?" her eyes widened in alarm.
"He's gone, running like a crazy prisoner that had escaped out of the prison room because he doesn't want to go back to the Facility!" Jessy answered sighing.
"I want to help you find him!" Hannah insisted, misty-eyed.
Jessy shook her head. "Hannah please, don't make me worry about you as well. Let me find Zain, I promise you I will bring him back to the Facility, please go back now!"
"O-okay...I will go now..." although she hesitated, Hannah realized that Jessy can find Zain faster if she has less one person to worry about. She rises above the ground and hovered above the trees... gaining faster speed towards the direction of the Facility.
Jessy followed Hannah in the air just to see if the pregnant woman was indeed going where she was supposed to be going. She felt satisfied upon seeing the pregnant woman was indeed going to the direction of the Facility, she lowered herself into the ground and made herself invisible again, this is to prevent Zain from seeing her. He can't run far away because it's too dark, he will put himself at risk of getting bitten by a poisonous snake or eaten by wild animals especially that he no longer has any power at his disposal that he can use to protect himself.
He must be hiding somewhere...or he kept running still...there is a high probability he will encounter accident along the way. Well, even though she has no feeling towards him...still he is Adam's precious brother and soon to be her brother-in-law, she should take care of him and she must find him ASAP!
She won't go back to the Facility without finding Zain first!
Hmm...
But she needs to go back to the Facility to resume the last blood transfusion for the night! She is not in the mood to play hide and seek with Zain for a much longer time. She can smell his scent though, a bit farther away from where she was standing right now.
Looks like Zain was running away from the clearing nonstop!
She sighed.
She zoomed to where she thought he was going...
How about fire?....lots of bonfires...that would bring Zain out of his hiding place. She grows six flaming orbs in her palm and throws them everywhere around her, making a bonfire, illuminating the nearest area around her.
