Just after the old beggar's spirit power had entered Su Yu's body, the old beggar's expression instantly turned to astonishment.

"There's no need for you to thank me in a hurry. The parchment I had given you actually comes with a condition," the old beggar said as he looked at Su Yu.

"Senior, please speak. If it's within junior's power, this junior will give his utmost to accomplish it," Su Yu hurriedly answered.

"I want a promise from you. In the future, you must give your utmost to help me do a thing," the old beggar seriously said to Su Yu.

"Ok!"

Su Yu did not ponder further and immediately agreed.

Just from all the kindness the old beggar had given him, forget one thing, even if it were a hundred things, Su Yu would accept them without question because to him, doing so ought to be a given.

"Good. You can keep that sheepskin parchment. Ok, I have said whatever I needed to say, and you can also say that I had guided you in starting your path in cultivation. Afterward, how far you can go depends on you." After saying this, the old beggar then turned his gaze towards outside the door.

He unknowingly found that, the rain had already stopped.

"The rain has stopped, so I'll be going now. If we are fated to, we will see each other again. So……Goodbye!" The old beggar briefly looked at Su Yu before standing up without the slightest bit of reluctance, and he took his leave.

"Senior, take care."

Su Yu hurriedly stood up and said those 3 words. After saying that, he did not continue to say anything because he felt that at this moment, there wasn't any point in saying anything anymore.

Like this, Su Yu watched as the old beggar left.

Just when the old beggar stepped out of the door, Su Yu seemed to have thought of something, and he hurriedly called out, "Senior, what's your name?"
