I woke up in a cold sweat from my dream. It was Leon; he was in pain, physical, fatal pain. I could see the blood as he called my name. The man standing behind him was tall and thin with a square jaw and long brown hair. His eyes were black as night and he snarled at me with a smile showing his perfect white teeth. He was familiar to me but I didn't know where from.

I got out of bed and went to the pool room to go for a swim. I punched in the code to open the floor and stripped down. I jumped into the pool and immediately felt better. I let the water wash away my cares though the image lingered in my mind.

"Late night swim?" Casimir asked from the door.

I spun around and looked at him and that is when he realized that I was in the water without anything on. His face flushed. "Casimir? Are you okay?"

"Um, yeah, I didn't know that you were…" he stopped and turned away.

"Casimir, you've seen me naked before," I pointed out, "Plenty of times before."

"Yes, but not this body, I have not," he said over his shoulder.

"And?" I asked. "What has changed besides that? I'm still me, so quit." I demanded as I spun around and dived under the water. I opened my eyes and saw that I was no longer in my pool but at a colorful, beautiful reef, instead. I rose to the surface and looked around to see that I was in an ocean with clear blue water and the beach was plush and green and I immediately recognized it. It was Cion. A smile came to my face at the sight of Laylan's home. A place I hadn't seen since I remembered being me. It was refreshing and magickal, and then it was gone. I was back at my house, in my pool.

"Drusilla?!" Casimir exclaimed loudly and I turned to glare at him for saying my full name when I saw the look on his face. "Did you hear me calling to you?"

I looked at him, lost, "Um, no?" I answered.

"What happened?"

"Cion," I replied with a grin on my face.

"Cion? What's that?" Casimir asked as he sat next to the pool, apparently over the fact that I was naked.

"Cion is a world that I used to dream about from time to time. In this world unicorn, fairies, mermaids and elves, to name a few, all exist. It is a magickal world that brings me comfort," I explained then noticed the expression on Casimir's face. "What?" I asked.

"It's just, you've changed so much. You were never one for fantasy so it's different to hear you speak of a world as such. I just can't believe the difference in you. It's amazing," Casimir finished with a smile.

"Yeah, I know, right? I am compa.s.sionate again, too. My humanity is renewed and surprisingly enough I actually have a heart now!" I laughed, "but I think the most surprising thing is," I paused as a sad solemn feeling washed over me. "I'm worried, Cas. I am genuinely worried about Leon. It's so strange, too." I continued as I stepped out of the pool and grabbed a towel to dry off with. I wrapped it around myself as I took a seat next to Casimir. "I haven't cared about Leon in over six hundred years and now I worry about where he is, if he's okay. I worry about how I told him. Should I have thought more about what it would do to him?"

"Um," Casimir started and I watched as his eyes squinted behind his metal framed gla.s.ses. His lips clenched as he contemplated how to answer. "I think it would have had the same ending result no matter how you had told him. Something like that would have been devastating to anyone. It was for even Lothair and me." Casimir finished as he reached over and took my hand in comfort.

"I figured as much. I didn't know if you guys were staying quiet because you didn't want to bring it up or what," I said.

"Yeah, it hurt us, too, you know. We love you, and seeing you hurt and learning about such betrayal from one of our own is hard on us. In the last thirty years we three have actually grown quite close. Leon truly became one of us. Both, Lothair and I are worried about Leon, as well. I mean, it's been two weeks and no one has heard anything from him. I know it hurt him badly but this isn't like Leon." Casimir finished with a solemn tone to his voice.

We sat there quietly, holding hands, thinking and worrying about Leon. I stared into the water of the pool and without trying; I began to scry for him. Fire was my preferred scrying element but water worked as well. The water at the surface of the pool settled and became as smooth as gla.s.s. I started seeing trees pa.s.sing by my vision. Then I saw him. Not Leon, like I was trying to see but Silas, my angel.

Silas was running through the trees as fast as he could and there was fear on his face. He was running for his life. But from what, I asked myself then I saw it. The same tall, thin man I had seen in my dream killing Leon. His face was dark and menacing as he followed Silas.

Suddenly, the vision shifted and I could see Aaron, Silas and my friend from days past, on his knees in front of a tall man I recognized as Rurik, an elder vampire. The dark haired man came into view behind them holding Silas by the throat. He was Markus, the original, first vampire and one of the elders, I finally recognized. I watched in horror as Silas and Aaron begged for mercy. Markus was the man from my dream who stood over Leon's body, which I could see behind Aaron, and I knew in my heart that he was dead. I watched the vision as Markus finished Silas and Rurik killed Aaron. Tears streamed down my face as the vision disappeared and the water became just a pool in front of me.

"Abby? What did you just see?" Casimir asked concerned.

"I…" I tried to start but my hands instead covered my mouth as sobs doubled me over. I cried uncontrollably into my hands and Casimir rubbed my back trying to calm me. Finally, I stopped enough and looked into Casimir's dark eyes. "I saw Silas, Aaron and Leon die at the hands of Markus and Rurik."

"What?!" Casimir exclaimed. "Did you scry or did it just come to you?"

"I scryed, I guess with your energy from your hand, I just focused without realizing. I was just thinking of Leon and I saw it all," I started sobbing again. Casimir stayed quiet as I cried next to my pool. I don't think he knew what to do. Casimir never really saw me cry. In over four hundred years, this was the first time I ever let him see my emotions. He continued rubbing my back which was helping but my heart still ached. I wanted Adam; I wanted his strength and security. Without realizing it, I must have sent him a message because a few seconds later he was beside me holding me.

"What's wrong, Abby? Casimir, what's going on?" Adam asked.

"I saw Leon, Silas and Aaron die. It was a vision, I know it." I answered unsteadily. "Casimir, we have to find them!" I said. "I could try to send a message but I would need more energy. Do you mind?"

"Come on," Casimir stood and walked over to my discarded clothes on the floor. "Put these on and I will get the circle together," Casimir said as he tossed me my clothes.

"Circle?" Adam asked as I started to put my shirt on.

"Yeah, we gather in a circle and Casimir and Lothair focus their energy into me. It makes my message stronger so it can travel farther. We have to find Silas and Aaron before it's too late," I finished as I jumped up and pulled on my pants.

"Are you okay?" He pulled me to him and I was in his arms looking into those bright blue eyes. "Yeah, I am now," I said as I nuzzled in his chest. He continued to hold me and I could feel the concern in his arms.

"Is there anything that I can do to help?" He asked.

"Actually, yes, there is. If you want, you can help me send this message. Join your energy with Casimir, Lothair's and mine," I answered.

"Okay, but I've never done that."

"It's okay, we can help you. You'll need to learn someday so why not today?" I laughed and he joined in.

"True, if I want to help you in the future, I'd better, huh?"

"Yup," I said and pecked his lips. "Come on, Casimir and Lothair are probably ready." I took his hand and spun around.

In the living room, Lothair looked confused and Casimir concentrated on the circle that he was drawing on the floor. Adam followed and we stepped in and Casimir closed it behind us. "You're getting better, Casimir," I said. He never was Pagan as I was but he grew to like the energy circle we would do. I guess in my absence he had had a lot of practice.

"Yeah, after you were gone, Leon, Lothair and I would do circles trying to scry for you, to help Aiden and Liza find you. We started about ten years ago," Casimir answered and then it dawned on me.

"Ten years ago? You've been searching for ten years?" I asked.

"Yes, that is when we started doing circles and scrying for you. Why? Should we not have?" Lothair questioned.

"Holy…" my voice trailed off. "Ten years ago is when I started remembering. They didn't come to me in visions or dreams or anything like Laylan, they were just there. I knew about Dru. I knew about you guys. I knew about Lena. Piece by piece everything came together. Of course, I just thought that it all was my imagination. I didn't realize that they were actual memories until Silas turned me," I gasped.

"It was working? The scrying worked?" Casimir asked astounded.

"In a way, I guess it kind of worked in reverse. Instead of showing you guys anything it showed me my past. I just didn't realize it," I finished with a laugh. Casimir and Lothair both looked pleased that their hard work had worked in a way that they didn't know. Remembering our goal at hand, I announced, "But we have work to do so everyone to your spots."

Casimir sat at the north point of the circle, Lothair at the south. I motioned for Adam to take Leon's spot at the eastern point and I at the west. We lit our candle and incense and placed our water and salt. Then we joined hands and closed our eyes. I instructed Adam to close his eyes and envision his self as bright white light and pa.s.s it to Casimir's hand.

As I closed my eyes, I envisioned everyone in our circle. Everyone was bright and I focused on seeing the light pa.s.s through Lothair to Adam to Casimir to me. I felt the immense power building as it pa.s.sed between each of us. It made me lightheaded and I felt it rolling over inside of me. I continued to harness it until I felt as if I was going to combust and I sent it out.

'Silas, Aaron, if you can hear me, you must get here, to me, in hast. Please, it is imperative that you come as quickly as you can. You are both in grave danger and I have to help you. Please.' I messaged to them. I didn't know if it had worked but I sent it with hope that it would reach them in time.

We opened our eyes and dropped our hands when we were all grounded. I looked around into everyone's eyes and saw the exhaustion that I, too, felt.

"Wow!" Adam exclaimed sounding unusually scruffy.

"Yeah, it can be pretty intense the first time," I said rea.s.suringly. "Are you okay, Babe?"

"Yeah, I think. I feel like a new man. Tired and rejuvenated all at the same time," he laughed.

"It is pretty awesome when Dru's in the circle. Even now that she's Abby, she is still really strong," Lothair replied and gave me a huge smile.

"It's been too long since we have done a circle with you, D…Abby. I feel like it's the first all over again," Casimir chuckled as he looked into my eyes.

"Is it always like that?" Adam asked and we all nodded.

"You get used to it but the magick is always strong with D…Abby," Lothair struggled with my name, too.

"I know that I told you guys to call me Abby but you can call me Dru from time to time. It's okay; I won't crucify you or burn you at the stake for calling me Dru. We all know who you're talking about," I laughed.

"No, we need to get used to calling you, Abby. As you told us weeks ago, Dru died thirty years ago and you were right. You are Abby," Casimir said.

"He's right, you know. You're Abby, now," Lothair agreed. "You're not really Dru anymore. You're much different."

"Okay, okay, fine you guys call me whatever. I think I am going to go crash," I said as I stood up and dismantled our circle. I looked over at Adam, who was still sitting on the floor. "Wanna crash with me? I could really use some company, tonight," I asked him.

"Oh, yeah," he answered as he scrambled off of the floor.

"Well, come on and you can read all about the night that I found Silas as a vampire nearly ten years after we first met," I said and turned toward our room.

"Good night, you guys," he called to Casimir and Lothair.

"Wait," Casimir called and I turned to look at him. "Who is Laylan?"

"What?" I asked.

"Laylan, you said when your memories came back; they didn't come in visions or dreams or anything like Laylan. Who is she?" Casimir said.

"Laylan is a G.o.ddess that Abby dreams about from time to time. She is the daughter of the pagan G.o.ds and lived in a world called, Cion," Adam told him before I could even begin.

"Cion? Isn't that what you were talking about earlier?" Casimir asked me. Lothair looked puzzled and Adam looked over at me.

"Yeah," I answered and took a seat on the love seat. "Come on, I'll explain to you guys," I told Casimir and Lothair.

They both sat down in the couch and Adam sat next to me. I spent a while explaining Laylan, Luca.s.sius, Artimous, and everyone from Cion.

When I finished, they both asked a few questions and we were all exhausted and bid each other a 'Good night'.

"Goodnight, Abby. Goodnight, Adam," they called back as we disappeared down the hallway.

As we entered the room I spun around and welcomed Adam into a hug. "Oh," he remarked as I threw my arms around his waist. "Are you okay, Abby?"

"Yeah, it's just been an emotional night and I just needed you. Thank you for getting up and finding me." I said as I looked up into his eyes.

"You're welcome, anytime," his smile stretched across his face and reached his eyes that glittered at me. I buried my face into his chest and felt his energy humming between us. I closed my eyes and let his energy fill me, washing away the negative energies of all of the stress of worrying about first Leon then Silas and Aaron.

When I finished cleansing the both of us, I pulled away, and I walked over to the nightstand and pulled out the diary from the drawer. "You ready?" I asked as I flopped on the bed.

He walked around and lay next to me. "Sure, are you reading or am I?" he asked.

"I will," I said sweetly as I cracked open the book and began to read.
