He was an average student with potential, but lacking motivation. Same with sports. Same with looks. He could have been much better overall, but he prefered to spend his time on video games, movies and series. He discovered mangas and animes in highschool, but truly got into it in college. From there, he discovered light novels, web novels, and visual novels/ero games.
He really liked ero-games with Tactics or RPG elements, but only got a few of them. After all, he didn't buy them, he downloaded those with english patchs, and which worked on his modest computer. He liked to try differents gameplays with them, and for those with locked content and multiples possible endings, he finished them several times.
In his ero-game folders, he had another folder for his favourite ones. It was currently open, and his favourite ero-game was running, alongside 2 others applications. The first one was a versatile cheat program called SpoilerAl. It was compatible with plenty of ero-games, and provided a lot of options for cheating. The second application was a cheat program specialy made for his favourite ero-rpg-game.
He had already cleared the game 3 times. It was going to be his 4th playthrough, with all his favourite options on. He had started the new game at level 1 instead of keeping the max level from his previous playthrough, but he was still going to give himself a big headstart with the cheating programs. He didn't want everything the New Game + options offered, so he was going to take the parts he liked and leave the rest to get while playing. After all, if he got everything from the start it would be boring, but he also didn't want to suffer the struggles from the beginning all over again.
He had just finished his modifications, and saved the game to make sure they had been recorded when the unthinkable happened.
Through his window, he caught the sight of something coming toward him at breakneck speed. During the last 2 seconds, he realised that it was a meteorite burning so hot it was white, a weird one as it was surrounded by what looked like purple lightning. During the last second, his window shattered and the walls cracked from the wind pressure of compressed air in front of the meteorite. All highly flammable materials in the room spontaneously caught fire. He felt a heavy pressure on his body as it was lifted from the ground, the temperature so high above his resistance treshold his mind couldn't comprehend it, nor did it have time to.
A streak of purple scattered in the room, one of its branchs striking his laptop and melting it before jumping straight to his head and heart. He saw only white and felt unfathomable pain for a exceptionally small moment before oblivion.
Someplace, sometime, a young man slowly regained consciousness. The sense of touch, sound and smell became clearer, along with the mind. The feeling of the whole body returned, and the young man slowly opened his eyes. Even though he was still incapable of complex thoughs, he realised, that he had come back from very, very far away.
He sat up and looked around. He was in a forest, in the middle of the day. The air was fresh, the birds were singing, the sunlight on his skin was warm, and there was a clear stream a small distance away. It was nice. Wondering how he got there, he got a sudden headache, and recalled his final moments. His eyes opened wide and he panicked. He checked himself in a hurry, with laboured breaths, moaning in fear of finding some atrocious injuries on himself, but after a few seconds he calmed down, terror letting place to confusion.
His body had changed, and the clothes he was wearing, he never owned any like that, yet he recognised them quite well. He was wearing the starting outfit of Wilfred Dion, the protagonist of Kamidori Alchemist Meister. He stood up, rushed to the stream and looked at his reflection in the water. His previous appearance had fused with that of Wil, with dark brown shoulder lenght hairs tied in a ponytail, bright amber eyes, and a toned body that was much better than the average one he had before.
He gazed incredulously at his reflection, flexing and touching himself all over, before sighting and falling on his b.u.t.t. He had to accept the fact that he died and ended in another world in a new body.
