"I am fine. I'm fine. Go do young people stuff, like find me my granddaughter in law"
His grandfather waved him away from the bed.
"What happened?"
Su Jin Wei said two words and everyone started to talk all at once trying to answer his question. But, he held up his hand and immediately everyone quieted down. Su Jin Wei's grandmother then started to speak. Modesty gasped quietly frozen into place she looked down at her feet trying to will the memory to come, she remembered this woman. Su Jin Wei's grandmother she had put a cold cloth on her forehead and sang her songs. Modesty believed that she was sick at the time but to her frustration, the memory disappeared just as quickly as it appeared.
When she looked back up, the room had gone silent and everyone was staring at her. She realized that they had all heard her gasp. Su Jin Wei's grandfather Old master Su spoke first.
"Su Jin Wei, how did you find her?"
Grandfather Su looked straight at Modesty a very pleased look on his face.
"Come to me my granddaughter in law I have missed you. Do you remember me?"
Modesty stood rooted in her spot, she wanted to tell him that she wasn't married to Su Jin Wei. But before she could Grandfather Su held his arms out.
"Come give me a hug."
Modesty walked forward and hugged the old man. Everyone was surprised to see her not only here at the hospital but also here in the country. Su Jin Wei held out his hand and brought Modesty back to his side. Mother Su started crying and Father Su was holding her trying to calm her.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone."
Grandfather Su shook his head.
"On the contrary my dear, everyone is so very happy you're here. How is your memory? Is it still gone?"
