Chapter 218 The Final Battle!
There were more than ten Advanced devils on the battlefield.
The serene little princess had killed five devils during a berserk attack!
“She’s more powerful than a G.o.d. Who dares to antagonize her?” William commented and dashed off to the other battlefield.
Most of the Legendary devils were not weak at all.
But they only had two Legendary devils.
One of the devils had died, and the other devil was without any support.
The Darkness invasion was about to fail. The remaining six to seven devils were surrounded by many Advanced professionals. Even though the const.i.tution of the devils was incredibly tough, they were unable to fend off the vicious attacks of the professionals.
Moreover, a 6-meter violent monkey had appeared, and he was extremely outstanding on the battlefield.
It was because this monkey seemed tougher and more ferocious than Bru!
n.o.body knew what happened. This monkey had stolen a 2-meter mace from a Troll and had chased after a devil. The monkey then clobbered the devil until the victim did not have the energy to retaliate.
“How can it be? The 6-meter monkey looks like a Beginner-level magical beast. This is illogical.” William could not resist using his insight.
“Gosh…” Willian inhaled a gust of cold air. That was Sorimas.
The Greater Druid, who was only focused on making medicines and had never fought, had transformed into a silver-backed monkey…
Even though his size was a bit smaller, he was more agile. He did not wildly charge like other monkeys. Instead, he used his small size as an advantage while attacking the devils.
“Why is the Grandmaster Druid disguising himself? That’s a shame!” William frowned. The Druid occupation was very interesting.
At each level: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, the Druid could only choose a single magical beast for transformation.
A Grandmaster Druid could transform into two kinds of magical beasts. An Epic Druid could do three, while a Legendary Druid could do five.
When the Druid chose to transform into a magical beast, he could not change it.
Hence, the Druids cherished their transformation slots.
When it was the first time transforming into a magical beast, there would be many requirements.
It was impossible to become a Great Dragon when the Druid was at the Beginner-level…
Sorimas was a Grandmaster Druid. He had chosen to transform into a magical beast before. But when he witnessed the power of the silver-backed monkeys, he had decided to use his remaining transformation slot to become a silver-backed monkey.
“Is that the reason why he’s helping the City of Dawn?” William pondered. It was quite possible. For the past seven days of fighting, Sorimas had not provided any kind of help.
Perhaps, in his eyes, the City of Dawn was not in dire straits. Or it could be that someone prevented him from helping. Hence, Sorimas could only focus on making medicines.
With the appearance of the silver-backed monkeys, Sorimas obtained a surprise benefit. So he decided to help the City of Dawn in the war.
Sorimas was still suppressing his actual combat power. Otherwise, the Advanced devil would have already been beaten to a pulp.
“I’m not bothered with his conspiracy. A Grandmaster potion-maker is more important than a Druid.”
Someone was trying to use William, but William was also using others.
If the City of Dawn did not have this Grandmaster potion-maker. Then, without the help of Marsh Flowers, William’s subordinates would not be able to upgrade to Advanced.
William did not care who sent Sorimas here. They could have mutual benefits.
William charged towards the surrounded devils. He did not hold back. Instead, he inflicted maximum damages on the devils.
An Advanced devil saw Lord William charging towards them and felt fearful.
But then something infuriated him. Lord William was showing his middle finger at the devil.
“This is infuriating. Even if I die, I’ll bring Lord William with me…”
But Before he could finish speaking, A lightning bolt pounded the devil’s chest.
The devil used his arms to block the blinding light while his body shield was activated.
But…
The Finger of Thunder G.o.d penetrated the devil’s shield and then his chest. The lightning bolts exploded and tore a gaping hole in his back as electric arcs emanated in all directions.
“Prince William is indeed powerful. I’m very much in awe.” Lancelot did not lead the Temple Knights in the charge. Instead, he rode his Celestial Steed next to William.
After speaking, Lancelot leaped from his Celestial Steed and slashed with his sword. A sword energy imbued with holy light shot out.
But it was not the end.
The holy sword energy transformed into numerous small light swords and flew towards the surrounded devils.
Boom!
Shockwaves incessantly emanated from the explosions on the devils.
When the dust settled, A devil had perished on the spot while the remaining three devils were seriously wounded. Their wounds were stained with holy light, so their recovery rate was slow.
An Advanced Epic devil saw many Advanced professionals surrounding him and shouted angrily, “Are you going to annihilate us?”
Albert raised his brow and said, “Are you expecting us to let you go so that you can have baby devils and sell them for a profit?”
The devil was speechless.
Lautner spat out his blood-stained saliva and readied his bow. He was ready to let off the fatal arrow.
Meanwhile, the battle in the Black Lava Dukedom was almost ending.
The starfighter Diablo had upgraded to the Advanced. When he swung his pike, thousands of weapons on the battlefield were under his control.
Wherever he pointed his pike, thousands of swords would gather before bursting off towards the designated target.
Within a short period of time, he had made use of countless swords to mince the devil into meat paste. The devil was unable to have a complete corpse.
“That’s too much. I’m thinking of keeping the corpses.” William shook his head.
“When the swords gathered together, they were badly damaged. Diablo does not know the value of the loot.” Lautner nodded in agreement.
The group of Advanced professionals chatted on the battlefield.
The three besieged devils trembled in fear. Their enemies were too brutal.
Their enemies killed without batting an eyelid.
The devils believed that they should also be buried when they perished.
But why did their enemies not leave an intact corpse?
And why was Lord William keeping the corpses?
Was Lord William going to mutilate the corpses?
Gosh! That was so perverted and evil!
The three Advanced devils violently trembled as they hugged each other.
The Advanced Epic devil said viciously, “The reason why there is a Darkness invasion…”
“Cut the c.r.a.p. Are you saying that the devils will take revenge?” William squinted. If the foolish devil were to divulge the truth, even if he returned to the Dark World, the Devil Lord would not let him off.
The devil noticed William’s expression and knew that he had said the wrong things. Hence he said, “Release us. Otherwise, the Darkness invasion will start again. The dark army will never relent. Even if you kill us, it’s of no use…”
The devil was trying very hard to survive and return back to the Dark World.
And what about the remaining 100,000 dark creatures?
The Dark World had plenty of them. The Devil Lord did not mind sacrificing the dark creatures.
It was not up to William to decide the fate of the besieged devils.
When the Advanced professionals were in a discussion.
“The middle of the gra.s.s plain emitted brilliant white light.
The dark clouds were torn apart.
The hidden sun appeared once again in the sky.
The Darkness invasion that lasted for seven days in the southeastern region had ended.
The hundreds of thousands of dark creatures fled in all directions. Some fled to the gra.s.s plain while others hid in the forests.
This war, it had not ended.
But the brilliance of hope had illuminated their world.
