If so, we could continue living as we are even if the prices double.

The next day, I pa.s.sed a mother and a child on my way to work.
The child looked up at the mother and said.
「Kaa-chan, I’m hungry」
The mother smiled at the child with guilt.
That smile was stuck on my mind for the rest of the day.
