Chapter 83 - He Might Not Be Able to Save His Own Head
Ji Liao was relieved to learn that Jiang Qi’s motorcycle skills pa.s.sed muster.
He held the phone, listening to He Cheng Ming whine and complain about how he had time to contact Jiang Qi but no time to be concerned about him and so on.
Ji Liao lowered his head and smiled. He kicked at a stone by the roadside and said warmly, “Is your arm better?” He Cheng Ming said unhappily. “No!”
He was very annoyed and kept feeling like Ji Liao had been a little distant towards him recently. Even in school, he hadn’t received any privileges with the reason being that it was inconvenient with his injured arm. No, what did a kiss on the mouth have to do with an arm in a sling? Wasn’t that a matter of tongue movement?
Today was even better. He had arranged to meet a woman and even had the courage to call him!
He Cheng Ming couldn’t sit still and grabbed his keys as he went out.
Ji Liao heard the sound of the slamming door and couldn’t help asking, “Are you going out?” He frowned immediately and dissuaded him, “Your arm hasn’t recovered. Shouldn’t you avoid going out randomly?”
Hearing this, He Cheng Ming was even angrier and roared fiercely into his phone, “Wait for hubby to go over and deal with you!” After hanging up the phone, he pressed the b.u.t.ton for the elevator.
Uncomprehendingly, Ji Liao looked at the “end of call” indication on his screen. Deal with him?
It was a hot day. He went to the convenience store to buy a popsicle then headed to the bus stop to wait for He Cheng Ming.
In the hot sun, he sat and focused on eating his popsicle.
When He Cheng Ming arrived, he saw the scene — the beautiful and charming youth dressed in a loose t-shirt and shorts, sitting adorably on the bench with his head lowered, a red tongue licking the popsicle over and over again, making his blood boil.
This demon!
He quickly got off the bus. Before he reached him, Ji Liao saw his shadow. Ji Liao looked up squinting due to the glare of the sun and said with a smile, “You’re here.”
The sweet fragrance of the popsicle seemed to remain in his mouth and the scent went straight to He Cheng Ming’s nose, making his throat itch.
He swallowed.
Completely unaware of his filthy thoughts, Ji Liao held up the thing in his hand and asked him, “Want some?”
He Cheng Ming was filled with demonic fire but when he saw Ji Liao’s clear eyes and his unworldly appearance, he wasn’t willing to let him suffer too soon. So he could only suppress his desire and lowered his head to suck on the remaining popsicle, finishing it in a mouthful.
Ji Liao: “…” He didn’t even leave any for him!
He got up to throw the stick into the trash bin and asked jokingly, “Are you here to deal with me?” The other boy was even jealous of Jiang Qi. He really had nothing to say. Jiang Qi was married, alright?! Moreover, she was his sister-in-law!
If he hadn’t mentioned it, he would have been fine. Once it was mentioned, He Cheng Ming remembered, scolding himself for being mesmerized by the little demon and nearly forgetting the matter at hand. “You have the nerve to say it?” He took a step forward and squeezed Ji Liao’s bottom with a large hand.
Ji Liao’s face reddened and he turned his head to glare at him. “What are you doing?!”
He was openly taking advantage of him in broad daylight. Ji Liao puffed out his cheeks and was a little angry.
What if someone saw it?! He wasn’t shameless!
“If you don’t listen to me, I’ll do you!” He Cheng Ming stared at the red tips of his ears and threatened in a low voice.
Ji Liao couldn’t believe the other boy would say something like that. His eyes were wide and his face red. Ashamed and a little resentful, he opened his mouth wanting to retort, but couldn’t say anything.
He Cheng Ming had always been gentle and considerate in front of him. He suddenly became so fierce that he was terrified again, dropping his eyes and biting his lip, not daring to speak at all.
“Aren’t you bringing me upstairs?” He Cheng Ming spoke again.
Ji Liao nodded silently and like a wife who had done something wrong, followed him into the community.
He Cheng Ming put his arm around his waist and his uninjured arm crept nimbly into his clothes. His young skin was firm and smooth, which made him unable to let go.
Ji Liao was slightly uncomfortable but didn’t utter a word. He secretly looked up at the other boy and realised that he still had a tight expression on his face. He had already been touching for so long!
Suddenly, there were some grievances.
When the two of them got on the elevator, Ji Liao tried to reason, “When have I been disobedient?”
His originally fragile voice was especially pitiful when it became gloomy like he had been bullied. He Cheng Ming’s heart melted when he heard and wanted to bend his head to comfort him.
“You’ve been very perfunctory to me recently.” He said in a tight voice, trying to control his impulse to kneel and lick.
Ji Liao became nervous immediately. “I wasn’t.”
Two hands grasp at the hem of the other boy’s shirt. He really hadn’t. Hadn’t they been good recently?!
He Cheng Ming looked at him askance and what he saw almost made him give in. The way the other boy was looking at him made it unbearable, especially those wet eyes, making him tremble inside.
He didn’t say anything for fear of revealing himself.
The elevator stopped and they stepped out.
Ji Liao went ahead to open the door. It was quiet inside. He Cheng Ming glanced around and asked, “Your mom isn’t home?” Ji Liao nodded and closed the door.
He turned to look at him, feeling a little gloomy and explained again, “I really wasn’t being perfunctory to you.”
He Cheng Ming sat on the sofa, his legs apart and with a pull of his arm, Ji Liao sat on his leg. “Then let me taste.”
He turned his head to kiss the boy on the lips. Since the last lychee-flavoured kiss, he felt that Ji Liao always seemed to taste of lychee, as if he was the essence of lychee.
Ji Liao didn’t dare to get too near to him, afraid of b.u.mping into him. So he kept retreating while He Cheng Ming’s head followed. Ji Liao’s bottom slipped down from his legs and landed on the sofa. Disregarding the awkward posture, He Cheng Ming held the other boy’s face and twisted his body to suck on his tongue.
The sound of keys dropping came suddenly from the door.
Ji Liao opened his eyes and looked over, so afraid that he became tongue-tied!
He quickly pushed aside the person who was still unmovingly french kissing him, and quickly wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as if he could exonerate himself.
He Cheng Ming frowned, then turning to see Xu Ai Wen, he stood up immediately, feeling a little weak.
In her home, in front of her, pressing her son down for a kiss. He Cheng Ming felt that he might not be able to save his own head.
After Xu Ai Wen’s shock pa.s.sed, a trace of embarra.s.sment appeared on her face. She bent down to pick up the keys from the floor but said nothing. Glancing at Ji Liao’s flushed appearance, she only felt that it was a little unfortunate that he liked guys.
He Cheng Ming licked his lips. It was the first time he was this nervous and he said, “A…Auntie, you’re back.” Xu Ai Wen nodded to him and thought to herself, if I hadn’t come back right then, who knows what the two of you would be doing.
She put her things down on the table and asked, “When did you come?” He Cheng Ming replied, “Not long ago.”
Ji Liao hid behind him, extremely embarra.s.sed. It was really shameful to have his mother witness that scene!
He Cheng Ming held his hand gently, indicating that he should relax.
Xu Ai Wen took a sip of water and looked at his injury hanging in front of his chest. According to Meng Yao Yao, he had gotten injured in a fight with the man who had disrespected her previously. So Xu Ai Wen questioned further, “Is your arm feeling better?”
He Cheng Ming said easily, “It’s nothing.”
Behind him, Ji Liao pinched his palm. Hadn’t he just asked whether his arm was feeling better earlier? He said no! Now that his mom was asking, it became nothing! This two-faced man.
He Cheng Ming hissed and turned to look at him. Ji Liao met his gaze and bit his lip, a faint redness still remnant from the hot kiss earlier. He couldn’t help smiling and whispered, “Cut it out.” Ji Liao’s eyes curved and he pinched him again.
He was so fierce earlier. Now in front of his mother, he was so gentle again.
What a fickle man.
He Cheng Ming had no choice but to let him do whatever he wanted.
Xu Ai Wen couldn’t look on and walked away self-consciously. She felt a slight ache in her heart realising that Ji Liao had never been like that with her. There was the feeling of her child suddenly being taken away after raising him with difficulty.
Before she could take two steps, she stopped and said, “Stay for dinner tonight.” He Cheng Ming said in surprise, “Okay, sorry to trouble you, Auntie.”
When Xu Ai Wen had entered her room, He Cheng Ming immediately turned to pick Ji Liao up, then realised that he couldn’t do it with only one arm. But it didn’t curb his enthusiasm. He gave the other boy a firm kiss on the face and said, “Baby, did you praise me in front of your mom?”
If not, how could Xu Ai Wen have such a big change in att.i.tude towards him?!
Ji Liao shook off his arm with dislike. “I didn’t say anything. It was Meng Yao Yao!” He Cheng Ming was elated. “Then I’ll thank her properly tomorrow.”
Ji Liao snorted and finally had something to complain about. “After the last incident with Gao Sheng, she has been a bit unhappy. Today, I asked Jiang Qi Jie to bring her out to relieve her boredom. In the end, you got angry!”
He Cheng Ming bent his head and began to plead for forgiveness. “Sorry, baby. I was wrong.” He was possessive and could not bear to see Ji Liao meeting others in private.
“You said I was disobedient! And you were so fierce earlier!”
Ji Liao let all his bitterness out at once and his appearance was so cute he wanted to die.
He Cheng Ming nearly knelt down for him and he flat out denied it. “I was fierce with you? How is that possible?! You’re my darling. How could I bear to be fierce with you?!”
After saying that, he hugged Ji Liao and kissed his forehead gently. His heart was so warm that it felt like blossoming. He was really so cute!
Ji Liao was already familiar with his pattern. He was always like that — relying on his own attractiveness and taking advantage of Ji Liao’s soft-heartedness to count on him not arguing.
“Hrmph.”
But he was really finding it difficult to maintain his anger. As long as the other boy’s att.i.tude softened, he was completely unable to pursue it.
“Hubby likes you the most, baby.” He Cheng Ming said as he blew into his ear.
His voice was low and magnetic, making Ji Liao’s legs weak. He glared at him and pushed him away.
He needed a drink of water to calm down.
He Cheng Ming followed and feeling that the living room was still too dangerous, they headed to the room.
Ji Liao felt that the other boy had taken enough advantage of him today, so it was time to help him with his homework. So he took out the five-year college exam, three-year simulation book and laid out his preparations.
He Cheng Ming said sullenly, “I now have reason to doubt you. Are you with me just because you want to improve your results?”
