As it thought up of different ways to design its dungeon, the portal in front of it suddenly flashed with a bright white light. As the light died down it saw a familiar figure covered in bands of rings and small multicoloured boxes.
"Brother!" Gaia exclaimed in joy as it rushed in front of Marcus.
"I'm back!" Marcus chuckled, "And I've brought A LOT of resources!"
"Put it down brother so that I can arrange it later. Where should we build our storages?" Gaia asked.
"Create pocket dimension here in the Core Room and store them there. As an Absolute Rank Dungeon Will that shouldn't be too hard right?" Marcus teased it a bit.
"Of course not!" Gaia exclaimed as it puffed its chest out...or at least tried to, "I am the highest rank that a Dungeon Core can become. A pocket dimension is but child's play!"
Marcus laughed, "Build an incubator room here as well while you're at it. I wanna see what are inside these eggs!"
"Pocket dimensions and incubator coming right up!" Gaia enthusiastically said.
A couple of bright flashes of light later and the rings and boxes were gone. On the walls were now rows of fluctuating black dots which were none other than the storage dimensions. Beside the portal, there was now a 5-metre tall tree that had ten branches. On each branch was a single egg. This was called a Tree of Life - a top quality incubator that all races use, even the G.o.ds, Devils and Buddhas use it.
"You sure are a spendthrift Gaia," Marcus commented.
"I'm actually usually very thrifty brother but seeing as how these eggs can determine our future, I dare not withhold any resources in securing a good future."
"Alright let's see what you offer," Marcus said as he walked towards the first egg. He bit his finger and let his blood drip onto the egg. This was a spell called [Blood Contract]. It allowed the caster to guarantee the absolute loyalty of the being inside the egg. In turn, the being would be reliant on the caster for its food and growth. The more blood the egg absorbed the more powerful the being inside the egg is.
After ten drops of blood, the egg started to hatch. "Ten drops only so it's definitely not an extinct race. It also shouldn't be very powerful...goblin maybe?" Marcus sighed disappointedly.
"That would indeed be the case if brother's blood was normal blood. However, brother's blood is that of the mighty Primalborn so something that takes ten drops should be pretty good," Gaia comforted him.
As if to prove its words a short, muscular child broke out of the egg. Surprisingly it already had a beard at its age! It turned its eyes to Marcus and humbly asked, "May master give this one a name."
"A dwarf from an egg? You don't see that every day," Marcus muttered, "You shall be known as Granmir."
"Thank you for the name Master," Granmir bowed.
"Move to the side," Marcus ordered as he moved towards the next egg.
This egg also took ten drops of blood. However, this time what emerged was a beautiful female with pointy ears and white hair. The pointy ears were a trait of the elf race while the white hair signified that this female was a High Elf. Compared to other elves, high elves had a bigger mana reserve and could cast more powerful spells than any other elf. They were also more agile and nimble; basically the cream of the crop.
"You shall be called Delsair. Move to the side," Marcus once again ordered as he moved on to the next egg. The elf gracefully bowed before standing beside Granmir.
The next egg took fifteen drops of blood and it made Marcus extremely excited. If he could get a dwarf and a high elf from ten drops of blood what could fifteen drops give him? Marcus held his breath as the egg started to crack. Each flake of the sh.e.l.l fell extremely slowly in his eyes. This just further increased his blood pressure and tension. Soon a sharp talon like that of an eagle emerged from the top of the egg. This was followed by a second, a third and all the way until six talons pierced the eggsh.e.l.l. Soon the head and wings of an eagle followed suit but then instead of a full eagle, the body of a lion emerged.
"A gryphon!" Gaia exclaimed.
Marcus smiled, "You shall be called Crowncrest. Stand to the side."
"Caw!"
The next egg took ten drops of blood and from it emerged a female humanoid with purple scales over her body. She had a pair of arms and legs just like any other human but she also had six long bones that protruded from her back which looked like the bone structure of a wing. This was a bug queen which could sp.a.w.n warriors from the bug race given enough resources. She would be very helpful in providing monsters to the dungeon.
"You shall be named Kerrigan. Stand to the side," Marcus said as his smile grew wider.
Kerrigan deeply bowed before moving to the side.
"Brother, why don't we open them in groups of two from now on? I can't take this anymore," Gaia pleaded.
"Alright."
Marcus moved over to the next two eggs and simultaneously dropped his blood on them. This time each egg absorbed an astonishing fifty drops of blood! Before Marcus could even comprehend what happened the two eggs burst forth with a bright blinding light. One of the light was gold and the other was as black as the abyss. The two eggs exploded at the same time with the fragments of the eggsh.e.l.ls disintegrating in front of the indomitable might. Where the eggs once were, two figures spread their ten pairs of wings at the same time causing a gust of wind to blow.
