Cool I Got Super Powers And All, But I Don't Think I Deserve Them 13 Plan Power Surge; Confrontation

The man with strange looks named Kori Hanesawa said.

The reason your average joe would find this man strange-looking lies in his contrasting features. His general build would signal you that he's a strong and well-trained person. But his calm and collected bowl-haircut and his well-taken care of school uniform would give you the vibe of a normal and well-mannered teenage boy.

This even carries over onto his behavior and personality, at school, and to an extent at home: He behaves well-mannered, nicely and like a good person.

But after school, and in the streets: He behaves like a fight-crazed hooligan.

These contrasting personalities of his are what makes him stand out in the eyes of his acquaintances.

"I was just searching for someone to fi-----" Kori tried to say but didn't manage to finish his sentence. He was interrupted by an almost melancholic-looking boy by the name Kenjiro Asukara, running up to him and giving him a clean uppercut. Kori flew back a couple of steps, he didn't have time to react due to the sheer speed of Kenjiro when he flew forward. Kori cleaned his right cheek quickly and stared at Kenjiro with an intrigued smile.

Kori quickly said

"So that's how we're doing it, huh…?"

Before dashing towards Kenjiro at a terrifying speed. Kenjiro backed a couple of steps out of reflex and managed to think

- What the h.e.l.l is this!? His speed is unimaginably fast! Not only do I have to hit someone who's (obviously) higher-ranking than me at life, Now I have to deal with this as well! But I guess it has to be done for the ultimate goal of our plan...-

Kori sp.a.w.ned some blue liquid in his hand, shouted

"Blue Reconquista!"

and drove his hand right onto Kenjiro's face. Kenjiro's body was forced to fly several meters back, and into the sandy ground.

*DING*

Kori looked around after hearing that sound but shrugged in a lack of interest. Kenjiro also decided to look around a bit for the source of that sound but came to the same conclusion as Kori.

Kenjiro slowly rose up and jumped forward a pace. Kori smiled and sp.a.w.ned another blue blob of liquid with the phrase

"Blue Reconquista!"

Kenjiro made a 'Kuhh' sound and thought

"d.a.m.n that blue liquid! Not only does his fist hurt so much by itself, but that blue liquid thing seems to do another two things. When it hits me, I get the feeling you get when performing a belly flop: Extreme pain. But I can't call it water! Because when it actually hits me, it for some G.o.dforsaken reason turns into a solid! I can't take too many hits of that, this punch itself did quite some damage. Both physically and mentally… I wanna go home!"

Kori grinned and jumped towards Kenjiro, again with quite some speed. But instead of putting up a guard, or shielding himself, as one would expect, Kenjiro pulled some sort of Martial Art stance. The stance itself consisted of him putting forth his left foot, and twisting his right foot. Kori started approaching him and at that moment, Kenjiro kicked his right leg into the air with intense speed. The leg hit Kori's wrist, which actually caused the blob to disappear. This surprised both Kori and Kenjiro. Kenjiro received a double surprise because he got surprised over the fact that Kori got surprised. Kenjiro took the opportunity to do a 360° with the momentum of his kick. Upon finishing it, he took his left foot and kicked towards Kori. The kick landed at Kori's crotch, which made him hunch over in extreme pain. Kenjiro reflexively said

"Sorry!"

and then proceeded to grab Kori's head and bring it towards his knee. But Kori recovered mentally and grabbed Kenjiro's knee before it made an impact. Kori yelled out

"The Affection Of A Geyser!"

Suddenly, Kenjiro's knee was surrounded by a blue liquid once again. This time though, it had a temperature similar to the temper of a middle-aged man on a busy road. Basically, extremely hot.

*DING*

Kenjiro immediately pulled back his leg and backed a couple of paces. He shook of the blue liquid but failed to notice the counter-attack Kori was coming with. Kori put some of the 'Blue Reconquista' liquid at the top of his knuckles and charged towards Kenjiro. Kenjiro didn't notice Kori until he was within firing range. At that point, Kenjiro tried to punch Kori's wrist. But it didn't make it in time, instead, Kori managed to secure a clean hit at Kenjiro's chin: The same place that he himself had gotten a clear punch before. The liquid solidified once again and Kenjiro pulled back in pain. But Kori wasn't finished yet, he charged once again and started pummeling Kenjiro's body after shouting

"Shocking Blue Revelations!"

and

"Blue Reconquista!".

*DING*

The punches flew with a certain unmatched speed, a speed that Kenjiro hadn't experienced before. It had seemed like Kori was taking this a bit more serious now. The punches. .h.i.tting the right side of Kenjiro's body, named 'Shocking Blue Revelations', seemed to be the same as 'Blue Reconquista' punches; But that was only what it seemed like on the surface. In reality, the punches didn't do any damage at all. They just made the recipient feel pain, essentially fooling the recipient in a way. These were perfect for energy-conservation since the move didn't take any energy but still dealt pain.

Kenjiro didn't notice this, instead, he thought they were some sort of advanced version of 'Blue Reconquista'.

Kori pulled a grin and started laughing lightly, turning into heavy laughter after a few moments time

"ha ha ha Ha Ha HA HA HAHAHAHA!"

The face as a whole that Kori had signaled that he truly lived for the thrill and fulfillment he received from these fights.

Kenjiro's vision started fading a bit, making everything he saw a bit blurrier. This sensation he felt was incredibly frustrating to him, he thought to himself

- Tch! The punches are really coming everywhere, and they hurt like h.e.l.l as well. I know this is what I deserve, but it sure isn't comfortable. Not only that, my vision is getting worse by the second! Is there nothing that can be done?-

Kenjiro's morale flew down, so did his head; casting a look at the ground in a state of a mix of despair, and deep thinking.

*DON DON DON DON DON DON DON DON*

With each hit that followed, Kenjiro's body felt heavier and heavier: Leaving him with the desire to fall to the ground and just lie down.

"Punch of the rising sun!"

*DCH*

After a mere 2 seconds, which felt like an eternity to Kenjiro, the barrage of attacks stopped. Kenjiro quickly recovered his sight and was able to see clearly again, what he witnessed was Kanton standing next to him and Kori backing off slowly with his hands by his nose. Kenjiro felt his body starting to fall down towards the ground, but the sight of Kori in that state gave him a surge of motivation. He quickly thought to himself

- My Chance!-

Kenjiro then tilted his head towards the ground at a 45° angle, causing his acceleration towards the ground to speed up. He then put his arms over his head, causing them to come in contact with the ground. Kenjiro then used a combination of his acceleration and the weirdly big amount of strength in his arms to propel himself towards Kori with terrifyingly fast speed. Kanton quickly picked up on Kenjiro's strategy and ran up to him, and whilst Kenjiro was flying towards Kori: He gave him an extra push, which made him fly forward even faster. Kanton also thought about what would happen after the attack and decided to perform an attack later.

Kanton thought

- I can't believe I got the courage to run out here. But, I'm glad I did! This d.a.m.n human was totally torturing my half-comrade Kenjiro! Yes, I decided to promote Kenjiro to half-comrade, considering the similarity of our ideologies. -

Kori was still taking a few steps back because of the pain, and due to him covering his nose completely with his hands: He was unable to see what was in front of him. Because of this, he didn't notice the counter-attack until it was, frankly, too late.

"Here we go!"

Kenjiro said before slamming his two feet against the face of Kori Hanesawa with devastating force.

*SLAM*

Kori was instantly thrown backward, and with a slip of his right foot, he was also falling this moment. Due to the attack hitting straight in the face; Firstly, he couldn't really think straight due to the strength of the attack; And Secondly, he couldn't try and attack or defend with his hands, due to them being heavily hurt during the attack because of the placement of them.

"Kick of the rising sun!"

To the surprise of both Kenjiro and Kori: The human-hating person Kanton had decided to throw a kick against Kori.

The kick landed with a

*DON* against the back of Kori's head, causing his whole body to change the direction of acceleration. Kori was now headed towards the kind of flying Kenjiro, who decided to make the most out of the situation.

Kenjiro pulled a wry frown and said

"Sorry, Kori!"

He then threw a punch with a lot of weight behind it, the punch landed directly onto Kori's left cheek. This time the surprise was delivered to Kanton, and Kori. The punch was apparently so strong that in an instant, one could see Kori's body against the ground with a grand

*SLAM*

After throwing the punch, Kenjiro fell to the ground as well in a state of exhaustion. But he managed to stand up again and jumped back a couple of s.p.a.ces, Kanton followed and they were now standing beside each other.

The whole battlefield fell silent, only the birds' tweeting being heard by Kenjiro and Kanton.

But that silence would soon end, as Kori's body twitched a bit.

The both of them looked at it with extreme antic.i.p.ation.

Suddenly, Kori Hanesawa bolted up and faced the two amateur fighters. He spat some blood onto the ground and looked Kenjiro straight into his eyes.

He opened his mouth and said

"Not bad, not bad at all. I suppose I underestimated you because I thought you were a beginner… But that's not really the case, right? I suppose I reaped the consequences, looking at the damages I've received. Been quite a while since I was this hurt.

Come on Kenjiro! Let's take this to another level, shall we!?"

The new aura Kori exerted was quite nauseating, giving the feeling of being under several kilograms of weight.

Kenjiro pulled a bitter smile that was surrounded by blood and other s.m.u.t and said

"Keh… Bring it… Kori Hanesawa!"

Upon the mentioning of his name, Kori grew visibly frustrated and grabbed the back of his head with his right hand. He then said

"Don't mention that name… EVER AGAIN!"

- Did he really go there!? That coward!? I can't believe he had the guts to do so… I guess I'll have to join them.-

Narino thought to herself as she made her way out of the lounge-esque room.

Narino took her sweet time walking towards the stairs, perhaps because her body was trying to protest against her mind's decision. But because of this, she noticed something strange when halfway down the stairs. She saw two people, one woman, and one man, lightly sprinting down the hallway. But these people weren't wearing school uniforms, the clothes they had resembled more of a skin-tight military uniform. Being of curious nature like Narino was, she decided to listen in on their conversation.

"Do you know where he is?" The man said

"No clue, apparently he roams around school looking for a fight; So he should be in this area at least." The woman responded.

"Makes sense… but then you totally had a 'clue', didn't you!?" The man said

"It's just an expression! You might just be weirder than Kori, you know…?" The woman shouted

"No way! The things Boss detailed about Kori puts him on a whole other level compared to me." The man said

"Speaking of that, the Boss did say that we needed to retrieve him to HQ quickly. So we should probably take it up a notch." The woman uttered and made physical signals to indicate going faster.

"You're right, let's. .h.i.t it!" The man said and the two started sprinting at a higher pace.

Narino looked at their backs in shock, she thought

- I thought Kori was a normal troublemaker… Was I wrong? What kind of mess is he tangled into? I should probably follow these people, to gain more information...-

Narino nodded to herself and started to sprint towards the two military-looking people.
