Without any moment to hesitate, Ying Yue backed up a bit to have more impetus before running towards the edge and jumping with all her might to the next rooftop, where the woman who shot her was.
Ying Yue, safely arriving on the roof, coolly landing with one leg kneeling on the floor.
" Don't move! " an icy Italian voice sounded as Ying Yue felt something cold pressing on her temple.
You know those movies where a scene like that happens and the victims puts their hands up and surrenders, well this isn't a movie.
Ying Yue smiled and immediately forced her elbow into the woman's abdomen with extreme force, propelling the woman a couple meters back.
Not thinking that Ying Yue wouldn't listen to her and would immediately move, the woman was caught off guard and didn't see Ying Yue's attack coming.
Nevertheless, the woman still exerted her last bit of strength in her to shoot one more time towards Ying Yue.
But Ying Yue saw her trick and coolly avoided her last attempt, still leaving a mark on her right cheek. This last attempt made the slight indulgence in her, to take pity on the woman, snap.
The dangerous glint in Ying Yue's eyes hadn't faded, in contrary, it had gotten more terrible. Ying Yue slowly walked towards her prey, her lip slightly curved upwards and, using her foot, stomped on her without mercy. The bones underneath her foot completely shattered. Leaving her victim, laying almost lifeless while spouting blood.
" How many snipers? " Ying Yue asked in fluent Italian.
The person lying underneath her foot didn't answer and, instead, harrumphed.
" You are not going to answer? " Ying Yue demanded with slight ridicule in her tone.
The woman flinched as she felt Ying Yue's impressive aura press down on her already half-dead body.
" Fine, not my problem. " Ying Yue said as she took the woman's gun to shoot her.
Sensing that her predator will really kill her without hesitation, she spilled the number, " 15! "
" Good girl...Thank you, you can now rest in peace. " Ying Yue answered as she pressed the barrel.
" Wait! I can help you shoot them! I am the best sniper in my group!" the woman cried out desperately.
" That vicious b*tch will really kill me if I do nothing! " the Italian woman thought as she attempted her last chance.
Ying Yue looked down to her victim and sneered, her eyes turning into black and soulless whirlpools, " Everything you can do, I can do better."
Without delay, she fired and her prey's blood lightly splattered and tainted Ying Yue's fair skin.
Afterward, Ying Yue took possession of the dead body's sniper gun and lock onto her futures targets. She looked at her watch and deduced that there was barely two minutes left before the first team would come help so she positioned her aim and put on the sound m.u.f.flers.
" Let's play! " Ying Yue sinisterly smirked.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Six.
Seven.
Seven dead snipers in two minutes.
Luckily for Ying Yue, the rooftop she was located at was very close to the other team of snipers which were at least two or three snipers huddled together, " So it's true that she is the best sniper of her team if she was left alone..."
Suddenly, the raucous sound of many helicopters resonated in the city.
Ying Yue looked towards the sky and saw that her crew had come to help, including another group of Americans that she deduced was here to help their boss, Jun Feng.
Seeing their arrival, Ying Yue sighed in relief, " Well I guess it's our win... "
The contented boss gently laid down on her back, reaching her hand to the blue sky and closing her eyes: she smiled in satisfaction, " When I go back, I definitely need a bubble tea! "
...
An hour later, Ying Yue's group had successfully caught every enemy in the city: demonstrating the efficiency and power of the group led by the one and only Moon.
" Boss Moon! Are you alright? ", almost all of her subordinates asked her.
" Yes, I'm doing great! Good job guys! Expect a raise when I go back! " Ying Yue giggled sweetly as she looked at her devoted subordinates.
" Sometimes I ask myself why I am still doing this, I guess it's for them! " thought Ying Yue as her injuries got carefully treated by her followers.
" How is Mina and Xiao Ye? " Ying Yue asked.
" They are doing fine, I got their wounds treated. " a low and cold voice answered her question.
When Jun Feng got the news that his little devil was safe and sound, he felt all his tense nerves relax. He was extremely shaken when they had to separate and he couldn't keep an eye on his newly acquired girlfriend. Jun Feng didn't know what happened to him, even on battlefields he didn't feel as anxious as now. His little devil really knows how to worry him.
Ying Yue looked at the stern and worried expression on Jun Feng's face and she felt her heart softened.
She slowly made her way to his side and wrapped her still wounded arms around his big body. While whispering in a soft voice, she buried her head in his strong chest, " I'm sorry to have made you worry but I'm here now..."
Ying Yue didn't know why but she felt secure and comfortable in his embrace. Even though they just met, this man brought her a certain sense of security that none of the other people had ever given her.
The man dropped his cold aura and defenses and gently circled his treasure in his strong arm, bathing in her soft and rea.s.suring scent.
" Don't ever make me worry like that, " Jun Feng said in a low growl.
He didn't know why he could feel so strongly for someone he had barely just met but he knew that in this entire lifetime, he would never let go of this person, never.
