"Ms. Grey, I shall drive today." Jenna offered her service.
Lillian looked puzzled receiving such treatment for just a book release. It didn't happen the last time? what's so special today? Lillian's thoughts played with her until Jenna helped Lillian get into the car. 'Maybe I'm just imagining too much. Jenna loves these type of things. So why spoil the fun. Let me enjoy it while she's giving me such special attention.' - Lillian thought herself and put on the seat belt.
"Don't worry Ms. Grey. Since you got all dressed up for me. I need to make sure you look good just like this until we arrive at the destination. So buckle up." Jenna said while she started the engine.
Jenna's a decent driver and she's good with the places and their shortcuts too. Unlike Lillian Grey who needed GPS to go to the neighborhood supermarket. This is also the reason why Lillian doesn't drive a lot and uses the cab. She rarely drives out or sometimes when Shane and Lillian hang out, it would be Shane who gets to drive Lillian's car. Also, Lillian drives too fast and reckless. She even got tickets a few times and was almost on the verge of getting arrested due to drunk driving. After getting her out of the police station, Shane strictly warned Lillian to avoid driving regularly.
"Where are we going exactly? You said it's a posh place and forced me to wear this thing and I'm already feeling uncomfortable. What's your plan, Jenna?" Lillian felt that silence would just annoy her and started talking.
"Plan, you say? nothing like that. I'm seriously taking you to a posh place. In fact, it is one of the elite places in New York where you need to make reservation months before you get to eat. Aren't I the best?" Jenna praised herself.
"If it takes months to make a single reservation, how come you were able to take me here tonight?" Lillian investigated.
"Well, normally yes. It will be impossible for someone like me to make a reservation at such an elite restaurant. But, I did pull some strings to do this. So feel special already Ms. Grey. Once and last opportunity and a gift from me." Jenna replied proudly.
'Pulled some strings huh?' - Lillian felt intrigued. It was a pleasant surprise to Lillian and she felt honored. At the same time, she felt burdened. I mean, more than praising her for such a surprise, Lillian was concerned about the place and cost. Jenna said it was her treat, but it might cost thousands of dollars to eat an elite place. A place like this can empty Jenna's wallet in seconds. Lillian tried to convince her out of this plan even if it's going to hurt Jenna. Mainly for the reason to not spend Jenna's earning for such silly celebration.
Well, you are the best indeed but... I don't necessarily like those type of places." Lillian conveyed her opinion; trying her best to talk her out of this.
Jenna felt terrified after hearing Lillian say that she hates such high-cla.s.s places. She looked daunted.
"You... don't like such places, Ms. Grey?" Jenna asked. Lillian felt that they were moving slower now. Jenna's emotions felt drowned along with her driving skills. Looking at her face, which is completely drowned and worries. Lillian felt miserable.
'It's already too late and can't be helped now. In any case, at least I shouldn't make her pay the bill. Alright, got my wallet with me. It's fine. Let me handle this.' Lillian decided herself and tried to ease her.
"Come on now, Don't feel bad. I just don't like to go such places ALONE. But if it's with someone that I care and love, it doesn't bother me. Now, hurry up. I could see that we're riding slower than a turtle." Lillian comforted her. She felt bad for ruining the moment. But seeing Jenna's face brighten up, she felt relaxed.
Soon after few minutes, they reached the destination.
"DESTINY", one of world famous, oldest and most visited restaurants. As Jenna mentioned previously, one has to book months before to make reservations. The place is normally visited by businessman and woman, actors, models, and all kinds of rich people. A place which is far from reach for the normal kind.
Jenna and Lillian dropped off at the entrance. The place did have valet parking and Lillian's car went to its own parking location with the help of a beautiful guy. Lillian looked at the place and was still shook to believe it.
"Jenna, are you sure? or is this a prank?" Lillian asked.
"Ahh... don't be silly Ms. Grey. Come on in, let's go soon." Jenna hurried.
They both entered. As they went in, the aesthetics. .h.i.t them right in their guts. The ground floor was designed to serve as the lounge area. It also serves as a coffee shop where people can get the world's best coffee while waiting. Dining is usually on the fourth floor. The second floor is their main office and the third floor is for banquet and lunch. "DESTINY" felt like heaven and angels were flying around; simply astonishing and flamboyant.
"This place is super ostentatious." Lillian gasped while saying it out loud. They both rode the elevator and went to the fourth floor.
As soon as they reached, Lillian and Jenna walked out of the elevator and saw a ma.s.sive hall with beautifully arranged tables and chair; so posh and very extravagant. The place had only a few guests at the moment and out in those, Lillian spotted a familiar figure waiting all alone. As she focused on that person, she saw the face. It was Lucy.
"Surprise, Ms. Grey," Jenna revealed.
