Get Back To You 35 Family Reunited - Grandpa And Grandma Visit Us

Giselle was already nervous but still excited like a little child. She is finally meeting her parent's after all these years. Her heart raced which made her froze on spot. The doorbell rang for the second time and Giselle, instead of fading out on her own moved quickly to receive her final guest for the day. She opened the door and saw two familiar figures. Old and feeble, Giselle's parent's are in their 60's. Their faces were covered in wrinkles and her father who once was super strong enough to carry Giselle-looked soft and fragile.

Without her knowledge, Giselle's eyes were flooding with tears. As soon as the couple saw their baby girl crying, they couldn't help but to go and embrace her. Melanie hugged her warmly; something that we call as the 'motherly love'. Eric gently patted Giselle's head and smiled looking at her.

"How beautifully you have grown? I'm really jealous for not being there with you, my baby." Eric kissed his daughter on her forehead and blessed her. It was an emotional reunion. Giselle didn't move and kept hugging her parents. It had been so long, she felt their presence back. Mom's floral scent - which she loves so much and never tried to change. Giselle was glad that her mother's scent perfume has never changed all these years. They were all smiling happily.

Throughout this whole reunion, there was a missing candidate, Lia. Giselle's daughter, Lia planned to hide behind the couch to surprise her grandparents. But, they seemed to be late. So, Lia decided to bring herself out and meet them directly. Surprise plan failed, she sighed as she came out from behind the couch.

"Mom, don't you think you're selfish? After all, it should be me who gets to be spoiled by them." Lia said looking at the three adults in front of her.

When they heard the voice coming from behind, Eric and Melanie got surprised. They looked so shook and then faced Giselle.

Giselle had forgotten about Lia completely and got indulged in meeting her parents. Giselle looked at Lia, giving her the 'I'm sorry baby' eyes. Lia wasn't ready to forgive but she let go of it this time. Giselle understood and so, she called her to make the introduction.

"Mom, Dad, this is Lia, my baby girl." Giselle introduced the couple to their grandchild. However, Lia didn't have a smile or any emotion. She kept staring at the old couple silently. She noticed them keenly like memorizing all of their features and how their faces looked.

After a few moments, the little girl went on to hug her grandparents. There were no words of expression. Eric lifted up Lia and gently wrapped her in his arms. Eric's tears couldn't stop flowing. It felt the same as when he would lift Giselle when she was about the same age. The father's love is always special. Melanie can't help but gush over joy.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Dear? enough already. You can play with your granddaughter later. Just let her down now." Melanie said as she signaled Eric about the gift.

"Hmm... no. It's alright grandma. I want to be with grandpa right now. " Lia threw a tantrum and she hugged Eric tightly with her small arms. The old man can't help but give in to the little girl's affection. It was tough.

"L... Lia? don't you want to see what your grandpa has got you?" Eric tried to reason with the little girl.

Lia's mind waved once she heard the word 'present'. She agreed. Eric brought her down and both of them gave their gift. Lia looked back at her mom for permission. Giselle, bends down and hugged Lia from the back and then received the present. The present was nicely wrapped in golden gift wrapper with a little note on the top that said, "To our angel's treasure, Lia". Giselle was moved after reading the note. Lia picked out the note and gave it to her mother. She then unwrapped the gift and found a box. It was a snowglobe with a small mermaid toy inside it. The snowglobe also had tiny little golden stars that shine around when you shake the snowglobe. Lia kept playing with it for few times and then thanked both for the beautiful present.

"Grandpa and grandma, thank you for this beautiful present. I love it. Your angel's treasure will treasure this gift forever." Lia's smart reply made the couple laugh. Seeing her in all smile and joy made them happy too. For the past few minutes, they have been around the front door. Giselle invited them inside for the dinner and promised to spend some quality time later.

The reunited family went inside to have their dinner together.
