"Pst... Look... it's the Ice Queen."
"She's so mesmerizing as always."
"Well, that is what she'll ever be. It's a good thing she has that beautiful face. With her rotten personality and brains, what will be left of her?"
*giggle
*chuckle
"Hey, look. It's the Prince."
"Woah! He's so dashingly handsome as always. A perfect male lead in any drama."
"As usual, they're together. I'm surprised how Daniel can stand her. Her personality is so nasty."
"Well, it just proves that beauty blinds all men."

Amidst the sea of gossiping flashy diversified crowds of students with their compet.i.tive outfits, a girl with pink shoulder length fluffy hair, combed neatly in a cute ribbon headband was walking under the gentle wind of the Summer sky. Her hazelnut eyes shone while her pinkish lips curved in an angelic smile, forming dimples on her cheeks which made her look cute and adorable in her simple white shirt and blue chequered above the knee skirt paired with white sandals and leather shoulder bag.
She tucked her hair that was blown by the calm breeze behind her ear which made some boys stopped and glanced at her adoringly.
A really moving sight to behold in the early Summer morning which put the onlookers in a good mood.
The only problem was; she didn't have any crest on her which signifies the higher echelon of the Academy. But even so, she was not oppressed due to her cheerful and down to earth personality. And that she studied her whole life in Unmei Academy ever since she was an elementary student. Thus, all the student's, Elites or not, regarded her with respect and adoration.
Sisley Lacroft, born as the only daughter to a simple middle-cla.s.s family of five.
Sisley smiled and waved her hands when she saw her friends, Jen Combrelle and Max Figardo, both were Elite students. Also one of the reasons that Sisley was not tormented. With a best friend like Jen, the prime minister's daughter, and Max, a son of a tyc.o.o.n in Apricot Country in the south, second only to Burberry Country in terms of wealth, no one would dare antagonize her.
As to the story as to how they had become friends, Jen and Sisley knew each other since young. At first, Jen ridiculed Sisley for being poor back in their primary days. However, Sisley continued to befriend the prime minister's daughter, and the only one who would play with the spoiled princess. And before they knew it, they had become best of friends.
As for Max, he fell in love with Sisley during their first year in college. They were in their second year now. Even though Max knew that Sisley already had someone she liked, he still secretly nourished his feelings for the innocent girl. Helping her whenever necessary.
"Hey! Look who's there!" Jen nudged at Sisley and pointed her finger to where the infamous Evangeline Krisnov – now, Evangeline Heart was, together with Daniel Richardson, walking hand in hand.
Daniel Richardson, a nice young gentleman, born to a wealthy aristocratic family in Everland country which is a far running contender for being the first flourishing country next to Burberry. He has royal blood with his mother being a d.u.c.h.ess while his father a Prince, making his grandparents the Queen and King of Everland.
But even so, even with all the wealth, fame and power, Daniel remained humble and kind to everyone.
Though Daniel had already forgotten about her, forgotten how he had saved a young girl in the past, Sisley cherished those memories deep in her heart since that was the beginning that she fell deeply in love with Daniel.
Sisley felt a pang in her heart, yet she continued smiling. Ignoring the various negative emotions that started to boil inside her. She has been in love with Daniel ever since he helped her during their time in 7th grade, a total of eight years till now.
Sisley watched with a heavy heart as Daniel and his girlfriend for one year, Evangeline Heart, her cla.s.smate ever since as long as she could remember, strolled for their cla.s.s, looking like a pair of lovers straight out from a painting.
It was like something of a higher power was playing with Evangeline and Sisley, sticking them to the same cla.s.ses since 8th grade.
And now, Sisley, Daniel, and Evangeline together with Max even have the same course, business management. While Jen was in the fashion design and modeling department, taking modeling course.
At first, Sisley didn't know which course to take, so she decided to take whatever Daniel would be taking. But she sure didn't expect that Daniel and Evangeline would be an item after just a month of starting their first year in college.
Sisley just timidly smiled. After she greeted Max, she focused her attention to her best friend who wouldn't stop frowning and glaring at Evangeline Heart.
"Why are you always glaring at her? She didn't do anything to you."
Jen just raised an eyebrow at Sisley before rolling her dark blue eyes.
"And why are you defending her? Oh, come on. You know better than anyone how cruel and nasty that b.i.t.c.h's personality is!"
Sisley bit her lower lip and didn't argue anymore.
That was right, Sisley knew better than anyone how cruel Evangeline could be, being cla.s.smates with Evangeline all her life and all.
Evangeline was like a high Queen who wouldn't bother a single glance at you nor a small curved of the lips, not even to adults and teachers.
Ever since elementary, Evangeline was always haughty and proud and cruel. If you were seated beside her, be ready for once your things fell into her personal s.p.a.ce, she would stomp on it with her million-dollar shoe. If you talked with her, she would send you crying to your mommy. When you accidentally b.u.mped into her, she would embarra.s.s you for the entire people to see. If you confessed to her, she would make you her slave.
She doesn't say sorry – ever!
She won't genuinely smile at you – ever!
"Hmp! She's a perfect example of beauty with no brains. I can't believe that Daniel fell for her!"
Sisley didn't say anything at the continuing rude remarks of her best friend.
Evangeline was smart during their elementary days, a constant honor student. However, ever since her mother died, she just let go of everything and did whatever she wanted.
Sometimes, Sisley couldn't help but wonder why Evangeline still goes to school.
Maybe for Daniel.
Immediately, another stab through her heart was p.r.i.c.ked.
"Well, you got to admit that the girl really is a turn on," Max whistled, eyeing Evangeline's round, voluptuous b.u.t.t. Evangeline was wearing a s.e.xy red bodycon dress insinuating all her curves.
Sisley thought that throughout the years, the beautiful Evangeline turned into a mesmerizing alluring G.o.ddess. She couldn't entirely blame Daniel why he fell for Evangeline's charms.
Whether the girls liked it or not, most of the boys in the Academy has a crush on Evangeline Heart even with her rotten unpleasant personality.
"Hmp! You men and your l.u.s.tful nature!" Jen mockingly barked, batting an eyelid at Max which the latter just winked back playfully.
"Come on, stop arguing. We're going to be late for our first cla.s.s." Sisley grabbed both Jen and Max's arm and pulled them towards the majestic building designated only for marketing college students while Jen went to her own department's building.
