"Calm down, Edmund." The man firmly said. After helping Edmund get some deep breath and managing to calm him for a bit by caressing his back, he added, "Now, tell me what's happening."
Edmund nods repeatedly. "mm" a nasal sound came out from him. With a final deep breath, he answered, "When I returned to the house we were using, someone pushed me on the ground. At first I was shocked and I was frozen for a while, and just before I could react, I realized that it was Sorcha!"
Edmund never thought that he will be able to speak for that long. But because of the urgency of the situation, it allowed him to do so without even stuttering like usual. "Mr. Ryan! Someone was after her!" he exclaimed. "Although I was not able to see them, I think that they have quite the number!"
The person in front of him is actually Ryan Darrington, Edmund and Sorcha's teacher in school. They came here together. But because Ryan told him to fetch some things back from that house, he went there alone. For a certain reason, the two frequently goes here after their cla.s.s.
Ryan's face turned very serious. His face didn't change a lot but inside his mind, he has already made up several things. He didn't ask why Edmund came alone without her. He thinks that he already knows the answer for that question. "Did she tell you anything?" he asked to confirm.
"Yes. She told me to seek for help, call the military, and look for Anthony Barrons. She also said that the people following her probably won't hurt her, and that they only want to capture her."
'So, it was indeed kidnapping.' Ryan thought inwardly. He calculated the time for Edmund to reach here after running from that house. '5 minutes.' He estimated. That time neither is short nor long, but in that span, he couldn't guarantee whether something bad has already happened to her. He clenched his teeth, and took his phone from his pocket. He dialed some number and after the other answered his call, he said, "General, Sorcha needs your help."
The man on the other line failed to answer for a while. After a few seconds, a deafening roar was heard, "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER!"
