Chapter 3 Part 2- The so-called “self-written”

Kang Hui frowned slightly, but she immediately stretched her body, and smiled: “This song is quite good, what is the t.i.tle of the song?”

Noticing the variety of changes in Kang Hui's face, Chen Minhao was somewhat apprehensive and worried that the unique trump card that only a transmigrator would have, wouldn't be useful here.

Actually, after Kang Hui finished hearing the song, she instinctively wanted to offer the song to other artists, and have them sing instead.

According to her instinct as a professional agent, she felt that the song had the quality of being the t.i.tle track of a platinum alb.u.m, and it would be too wasteful to let a trainee sing such a high quality song even if the song was written by him.

But, on second thought, when she remembered that she was now working in Divine Dream, and not her previous star-studded workplace – Dragon Air, she couldn't help but be disappointed. Even if she s.n.a.t.c.hed the song over, who could she offer the song to?

Instead of giving the song to w.a.n.g Anqi who even the big shots from sound engineer industry had trouble auto tuning her singing, she might as well give the opportunity to the young man in front of her, and see what kind of surprise he could give her.

As for giving the song to the other artists, haha, as if she would let the others benefit without paying a price.

Chen Minhao said with a deep voice: “Simple Love Song.”

Kang Hui played with her hair with her hand, and asked: “What are your plans for the future?”

After thinking hard for a few seconds, Chen Minhao replied: “Currently, as a trainee of two years, I hope to seize this opportunity and make my debut as part of the group. After that, I hope to produce satisfactory works for the company, fans, and myself.”

“Company, fans, and then yourself. The order is quite interesting.” Just as she finished speaking, Kang Hui seemed to suddenly remembered something, and then with a deep voice she ended the interview. “Let's end the conversation here. As you do not live in the company's dormitory, you must remain contactable at all times when you go back to ensure that we can notify you at once if there is any news.”

When Chen Minhao bid his farewell to Kang Hui and Wu Xiaoshuang, Kang Hui gave Chen Minhao a meaningful look, but she did not say anything to him.

Once Chen Minghao was out of Kang Hui's office, he puffed out his cheeks, and gave out a  silent sigh. He knew that he had given her a general answer when asked about his future plans, and Kang Hui was not satisfied with it. After all, how could he expect others to be satisfied with his answer when he himself was not satisfied it.

Currently, it was just about 24 hours since he had transmigrated. Needless to say, he had no idea with regards to his future plans, as he was still in a dazed state with regards to his current situation .

After all, just 24 hours ago, his life plan was to work in a top law firm and do investment and financing mergers and acquisitions business; use the free time he would have after work and his weekend to learn financial knowledge and get a few financial-related certificates, then switch his job to an investment bank to live a life where his annual salary exceeds hundred million, and finally buy a house and marry a woman and have children.

However, the abrupt change brought by the transmigration had shattered all his plans. Although, Chen Minhao had once felt envious about the speed of acc.u.mulating wealth in the entertainment industry, and the celebrities' lives of extravagant luxury and dissipation, he never wanted to get involved with the entertainment industry, let alone to be an artist.

Even though he had made a decision last night and set a small target: “Get selected to be part of the trio, and enter Kiwi's 《Produce 101》. ” But, that was only because he had a great ability to adapt well, or rather, he had good self-control. His state of mind was that since he had transmigrated, he might as well live a elegant live rather than be a sorry figure. He did not have much plans about his own future actually.

While he got lost in his thoughts, Chen Minhao had taken the lift to the ground floor.

It was August, and the season was still in summer. At 2.30 in the afternoon, the sun was shining brightly. Although the road sides were lined with trees, he could still feel an oncoming heat wave blowing towards him.

The distance from the company to his dormitory would take 20 minutes on foot. There wasn't a direct bus that would take him to his dormitory from his company, and the starting meter of a cab was fourteen yuan.

After considering for a while, he decided to walk home. He consoled himself that he was exercising by walking.

While he was on the way back, he received a call from Wu Xiaoshuang. “Do you know about the good news?”

“I don't know. What is the good news?” Chen Minhao's mouth twitched a little. Are you stupid… How would I know if you don't tell me.

The cheerful voice of the girl on the phone became noticeably lowered by a few notch: “Kang Hui didn't want me to tell you the news in advance, she only want you to come to the company at 10 o'clock on this Friday. By the way, don't reveal to anyone that you had already know about the good news when you're here. Also, I just added you on WeChat, quickly accept my request.” After saying all that, she hung up.

Chen Minhao quickened his pace, and stretched his hair irritably.  His interview had just ended, there were still others who had not done their interview, so it was impossible that the outcome of the interview would be out so fast.

Other than that, he did not have anything else recently too. Chen Minhao uttered to himself, “What exactly is the good news?”

Although he wanted to know very much, but since he had already asked her about it, and Wu Xiaoxuan gave a clear reply that she could not disclose what the news was, then he shouldn't pester her anymore, otherwise it would only make things difficult for her.

The ground was already like a steamer to him, and now, after receiving the girl's phone call, it was like having firewood added to the steamer.

Why would the smart and capable Kang Hui hire such an incompatible a.s.sistant to her? Chen Minghao made a bold guess.
