Chapter 8 Part 1 – Old Fox and Small Fox

After he was done with his gym routine, Chen Minhao went straight to Kang Hui's office to look for her. It was the first time he actively sought out Kang Hui. He didn't choose to talk to her on the phone because he thought it would be better to talk to her in person regarding some specific topics.

Chen Minhao did not greet her, his first sentence upon meeting her was: “The person that is replacing Zhou Mingrui will be Han Feng, right?”

Kang Hui had a reflection about whether she had treated Chen Minhao too nicely, causing him to act so brazen in front of her.

Kang Hui frowned and replied, “This has nothing to do with you. Your mission is to train yourself according to my plan, and then be available on demand anytime to record the demo for 《Simple Love Song》.”

Chen Minhao smiled, “No. This matter is closely related to me.”

Kang Hui asked with her eyebrows raised, “Why do you think that it's Han Feng who is going to replace Zhou Mingrui?”

Chen Minhao honestly answered, “I heard from Zhou Mingrui. He said, “He's only 19 years old and he already debuted before, why is he s.n.a.t.c.hing this opportunity away from me?” Then I figured that only Han Feng met this requirement in our company.”

Kang Hui smiled and said, “You forgot that there's another guy, Tong Ruize.”

Chen Minhao's eyes widened, his mouth slightly opened.

Kang Hui smiled, she felt that most of the time, Chen Minhao behaved like an old man. There were only a few exception where he would show a blank yet cute expression on his face.

The unseen cuteness is the deadliest.

Kang Hui looked at Chen Minhao's surprised face and asked, “why do you think it won't be Tong Ruize?”

After pondering for more than 30 seconds, Chen Minhao gave a serious answer. “First of all, he has already debuted before, and this show mainly wants trainees from all the agencies and amateurs to join the show. Secondly, his singing is mediocre, and isn't particularly suitable for this stage. Thirdly, he's already being cast as the third supporting male actor in some of the drama shows, it's totally possible for him to be cast as the lead actor or the supporting actor if he work a little harder.”

He hesitated for a moment, but in the end, he said the most important reason that he had in his heart, “He's signed under Zhang Ye's banner.”

Zhang Ye was the other big-shot agent of the company. Different from Kang Hui who walked the path of creating quality celebrity by focusing on only w.a.n.g Anqi, Zhang Ye belonged to the group of agent that does ma.s.s training, where he would evaluate those who perform well, and focused on them heavily subsequently. There were 7 artistes under him currently.

Moreover, according to the rumor from the company's grapevine, he and Kang Hui had a bad relationship with each other.

Regarding to the rumor, Chen Minhao believed that it should be true. After all, two tigers could never coexist in the same mountain. If he was in Zhang Ye's shoes, he would definitely want to replace Kang Hui as the number one agent in the company.

“So what?”, asked Kang Hui, her lips curling into a graceful arc.
