Chapter 299 A precious gift
“You are really so kind and considerate. I don’t know how to do without you!” Gu Yan said and shook Manla’s arms. She was so moved.
In the world, there were always things that could touch you. What’s more, friends, relatives or lovers would play an important role in a person’s life. He or she was the one and only for them.
For Gu Yan, she had many people who played a vital role in her life. In terms of Manla, she was the best bestie that Gu Yan had ever had. They talked about everything and knew each other well. Gu Yan enjoyed this kind of relationship because she didn’t have to take efforts to guess the other’s mind.
Gu Yan was so touching when she took the gift, and she felt very warmhearted. She knew that as long as there were friends around, she was not afraid to encounter any difficulties.
“Manla, it’s so kind of you. I cannot do anything without you. You are my luck star.” Gu Yan whispered to Manla and leaned on her shoulder. Gu Yan’s face was full of happiness. She enjoyed the special time.
Gu Yan opened carefully the exquisite bag, and the gift in it was so precious. Gu Yan acted lightly lest she should break it.
“How much is it? I will pay you back someday.” Gu Yan said and couldn’t move her eyes from the gift. Her tone was full of surprise. She had never bought anything so expensive to anyone, but when she thought that the gift was for Mo Yichen’s mom, she stopped struggling.
“It’s ok. It didn’t cost much, and I got it from a friend of mine. You don’t have to do that. It’s my pleasure.” Manla said and touched her pocket unconsciously. Gu Yan didn’t know the necklace costed nearly half a year’s salary of Manla. For Gu Yan’s happiness, Manla had to sc.r.a.pe by in the later days.
“I think it is about more than ten thousand. It’s not a small amount of money. It’s not easy for us. Although we are friends, brothers should also make clear their accounts, right? We will not be friends if you don’t let me do that.” Gu Yan said more strongly because she knew it was not easy for Manla to make money in such a city with so fierce compet.i.tion. It was not good to make Manla sacrifice so much for her.
After hearing Gu Yan’s words, Manla rolled her eyes and thought, “You idiot, what are you thinking about? It hurts feelings when it comes to money. I have told you it’s no necessary.”
“You take this first…” Gu Yan said when she took out a bank card and hand it in Manla’s hands. She frowned and looked serious. Her eyes were full of deep resentment.
“What’s wrong with you? We don’t need to go that way because we have been friends for many years. You have helped me many times when I was short of money. It’s okay. Just take it. It’s not so much money.” Manla said. She was a little angry when she saw the bank card.
“Do you look down on me? I won’t go broke for that much money. Come on, forget it.” Manla said and refused the bank card. She looked more serious and angrier.
“Take it right away. I don’t have enough time, and I also need to prepare other things. No more words, and please take it. Don’t mention it. We’ll talk about it when you are necessary.” Gu Yan said. Then she took out her phone and checked the time. She looked more anxious.
Suddenly, there was silence, and no one knew what to say next.
Manla was dragged by Gu Yan towards to the clothing mall without any words. Manla knew that she couldn’t change Gu Yan’s mind and couldn’t go against her wishes because Gu Yan was too stubborn.
It had to say that Mo’s family had good genes which made a beautiful Mo Xiangyan, who looked like a porcelain doll.
There were many little girls around Mo Xiangyan at school. They were all five or six years old. Even if they didn’t know love, but the instinct to pursue good things was common to all people, regardless of age and gender.
At that moment, the father and his son were walking at school. Mo Yichen was charming with tall body and uncommon temperament. And his indifferent face made him become more handsome. Besides, it was amazing that Mo Xiangyan was a scaled-down version of Mo Yichen. He looked just like his father. Mo Xiangyan acted like a child only in front of Gu Yan.
The two persons were really a beautiful scenery in the kindergarten, inviting many kids and parents’ attention.
Once Gu Yan made fun of Mo Yichen that if Mo Yichen joined a famous dating show with Mo Xiangyan, he must be well-known at once. Mo Yichen told seriously to Gu Yan after figuring out on Baidu what the dating show was, “There is no need to partic.i.p.ate in this kind of idiotic activity because our family’s money will last forever!”
On their way to school gate, a little girl came to Mo Xiangyan. She handed him a heart-shaped paper work without a word and then lowed her head.
Mo Yichen and Mo Xiangyan had to stop because the girl was in their way. Mo Yichen glanced at his son without a word, but Mo Xiangyan understood what his father meant right away, “You have to deal with your business.”
Therefore, he looked more indifferent and said without any emotion, “Who are you? Do I know you?”
The little girl’s hands were shaking. She took a deep breath with all the courage and said, “Mo Xiangyan, I have a crush on you!”
Mo Xiangyan frowned and said, “Well, I got it. May I go now?”
The little girl’s eyes were full of tears, but Mo Xiangyan just ignored that and went ground her. Then he headed to the school gate.
Mo Yichen saw it all and then followed his son without any word.
When they got in the car, Mo Xiangyan couldn’t help but say, “I really don’t who she is!”
Mo Yichen glanced at him and said, “I know.”
Mo Xiangyan looked at his father. He was wondering why his father knew that. He knew that his father didn’t send someone to spy on him because he believed that Mo Yichen would respect his privacy. Besides, Mo Yichen didn’t do this kind of boring things.
