"Morning.."

Uncle looks pale even after a long sleep last night, I wonder what's happening to him.

"Is something matter uncle?"

"Ah no, just last night is suddenly feel so cold and I got a pretty bad dream last night, I met a girl with a black robe in my dream like she's so terrifying"

I have no idea what's uncle been talking about, I try not to bother it and continue my cooking.

"What's the breakfast? I smell something nice here"

" A soft fried fish meat"

"Oh, sounds good, I'll take a quick bath to wait"

"Okay"

Uncle Alto went to get his towel and go to the bathroom to take a quick bath because the air is so cold already.

I finish up the cooking and serve it on the table, uncle comes out from the bathroom he looks shivering because of the cold it seems.

"Do you anything warm to drink?"

It's funny to see uncle shivers because of the cold, I cast the [ Cold Protection ] to him.

"It's should be better now uncle"

"Ohhh... thanks Erwin"

He still looks amazed even though he saw me magic several times already, I don't know if it is because magician is kinda rare or because an 8 years old kid cast it.

"Well I'll take a tea if you don't mind, there's some in the cupboard"

"Alright"

Uncle Alto went to dry his towel near the room heater and then he goes to the dining table and takes a seat.

"Ah let's go to Rosaku-san's place today, see if he's there or not"

"Woah.. let's go uncle..."

I'm so excited when uncle Alto invites me to visit Rosaku-san today, I'm so happy that I would able to meet a real royal magician, well ex-royal magician now because uncle Alto said he got kicked out from the magic researcher group in the kingdom.

"I can't wait to meet him, is he actually a weird person like you said before uncle?"

I place the food on the table and sit across uncle Alto, it's a pretty chilly morning today.

"Well I'm not gonna say he's weird by his look, just sometimes his behaviors are kinda weird, like when he's making something new, he just gonna laughing all by himself and then an explosion coming afterward"

"He sounds like an interesting person honestly"

Uncle Alto looks confused by what I just said.

"Honestly I think someone like that actually loves his job and give him all he has for the research purpose"

"Well I guess so"

Uncle Alto seems to in agreement with me, we continue our breakfast until around 8.

"Hey, Erwin.. You're done yet?"

"In a minute.."

Uncle Alto yells from downstairs, me and Uncle Alto decide to go to Rosaku-san's place after we finish our breakfast.

"I guess this all will do"

I pack some cookies as a gift for Rosaku-san, and I bring some magic book with me and put it in my sling bag.

I close the window and leave the room, I quickly run downstairs can't wait to go to Rosaku-san's place.

"Woah.. there.. be careful on the stairs"

"I'm sorry uncle, I'm too excited hahaha"

"[ Sigh.. ] Just don't be too excited though"

Uncle just smiled and look at me, maybe he's looking at me like a little kid excited about getting a new toy.

"Alright let's leave now"

We both left the house and decide to walk to Rosaku-san's place, the place is on the opposite turn of uncle Alto's house, I enjoy this walk so much and take it as a new experience in the capital.

"It's not so crowded again today, I guess it will keep like this until the winter end"

We are going to a market district near uncle Alto's house, he said that this place is pretty crowded normally, but since the weather is pretty now, some people decided not to go out often, some merchant also decided to just open in a middle of the day at noon because the cold won't be bite like it does now.

"But your magic sure is convenient eh, you can even use it as a coat from a cold like this"

I guess uncle is still amazed by how useful magic can be, learning it isn't easy for commoners, but maybe after a hard training they will be able to use magic.

"But training magic is surely tough, I don't have any talent for that though"

"I was able to use magic because Ilynee taught me a lot about it though"

I have to return a favor to Ilynee for teaching me magics and stuff by becoming the best adventure and gain trust from the Kingdom and let Ilynee and Yuika and her family and uncle Alto to live in a big house in the future.

"We have been walking far enough, we aren't there yet?"

"No, no, just next turn and we're there"

Not like the last market district, in the front there I can see people pa.s.sing by.

"Woahh...."

I look around and I can see a lot of fancy stores, I can see through the store's window a fancy looking clothes, mugs, painting, and other stuff.

"Everyone looks amazing.."

"It's a big store district though, most of the people who went here are n.o.bles"

I keep looking around and amazed by how tall the buildings and stuff, I can see some big houses around, a good looking couple went to the clothes store and some kids that also wearing fancy-looking clothes.

"Come on Erwin"

I run towards uncle Alto and he holds me on my back, we are entering an alley near one of the clothes stores.

"That's his house"

Uncle Alto point at a door with little stairs in the entrance, the door looks like it got burned before and the bell's clapper is nowhere on its place.

"Rosaku-san... It's Alto..."

Uncle Alto tries to knock the door and it happens that it's not locked.

"Pardon our intrusion.... Heeeehhh..."

Uncle Alto suddenly barging in the house in a hurry, I don't know what happened but I also follow him from behind.

A man is lying on the floor and his face looks pale, uncle Alto tries to wake him to see if he's dead or not.

Ah he's opening his eyes.

I look around and see this place so messy, a blanket over the couch not folded and the table is full of papers and books.

"I will go out and buy food, Erwin.. Look over Rosaku-san"

"Ah yes.."

I pick up a pillow from the couch and bring it for Rosaku-san.
