Idiot In Love -2 Chapter 113: Playing Cupid

Yi Fei greeted NaNa happily and introduced Ying Yue to NaNa. NaNa thought that Ying Yue seemed familiar, but she didn't ask more about her.

"Sister NaNa, I am your biggest fan. I am your fan since I saw you cosplayed as Misaki-Chan from Kaichou Wa Maid Sama" Ying Yue was very excited to be able to interact with her idol. It was all thanks to Yi Fei for introducing them.

When NaNa was taking pictures with Ying Yue, Yi Fei realized that NaNa was sending a secret signal to the lady wearing all black with black shades and had yellow Leica camera on her hand.

The lady approached Yi Fei while sticking out her hand with the camera as if she wanted to give the camera to Yi Fei. Yi Fei misunderstood the gesture and took the camera from the lady.

"It's okay sister. I can help you. I am quite good with a camera" Yi Fei took the camera from the lady and ushered the lady to stand beside NaNa. Then, Yi Fei started counting automatically because there were some people left behind them so Yi Fei didn't want to make them wait long.

NaNa thought that the whole situation was funny. Her aunt insisted on wearing dark shades to cover her eyes to that it would be difficult for people to recognize her. But the thing now was that even Yi Fei could not recognize Wu Chen's mother even though they already talked via video call.

Ying Yue came to stand beside Yi Fei and she was very excited. Yi Fei returned the camera to the all black lady with a smile on her face. "Sister, I take a few good shots. You will like them" Yi Fei gave thumbs up and started to walk away after she promised NaNa to have lunch with her later.

The all black lady held Yi Fei's wrist and removed the black sungla.s.ses from her face. Yi Fei was shocked to see the front and automatically bowed down to greet the lady in black.

"h.e.l.lo, auntie… Good… " Yi Fei took a glance at her wrist.w.a.tch. "Good afternoon auntie. I'm Yi Fei. I'm sorry I didn't recognize you just now" Yi Fei kept on bowing to Wu Chen's mother.

Wu Chen's mother and Yi Fei talked for a bit, so Ying Yue excused herself to get her uncle who was supposed to be with her in the ComicCon but had to leave for a moment due to work.

Yi Fei was trying not to be weird when she was together with Wu Chen's mother to impress her but in Wu Chen's mother point of view, what Yi Fei did now gave the impression that she was a bit awkward. To ease the tension, Wu Chen's mother invited Yi Fei to have a drink in the nearest restaurant.

Yi Fei was thankful of Wu Chen's mother attentiveness. She was trying her best to leave a good impression to Wu Chen's parents so that she will get their blessing to date their son.

The convention hall was still crowded even though it was time for lunch break. Being the 'gentleman' she is, she led in front of Wu Chen's mother to clear the way so that no person will b.u.mp into the important lady behind her.

With a broad smile, Yi Fei sauntered through the crowd while glancing towards Wu Chen's mother who was walking behind her once in a while.

While walking to the crowd, Yi Fei suddenly remembered the scene of the mean girls she watched in the movie 'Mean Girls.' Yi Fei rummaged into her sling bag to find something.

Because Yi Fei stopped walking abruptly, Wu Chen's mother cannot help but asked her. "Ah Fei, what are you looking for? Did you lose something?" Wu Chen's mother peeked into Yi Fei's bag, and there were a lot of things inside her bag.

"Auntie, please wait for a bit. I know I had it in here". Yi Fei kept on swirling her hand inside her bag as if she was trying to pick a lucky number from a lucky box. After a while, she took out a mysterious thing from her bag.

"I confiscate this from my student because he keeps on chewing the gum during my cla.s.s" Yi Fei unwrapped the chewing gum and put it inside her mouth. "Come, follow my lead, auntie."

Yi Fei walked through the crowd, flipped her hair and walked in a manner of a power walk like those mean girls from the movie to get her point across, but sadly, Yi Fei was quite short, so people don't pay attention to her.

Wu Chen's mother was naturally a playful person, but even she didn't know what Yi Fei was trying to do. After a while, she seemed to get the gist of it. After seeing how often Yi Fei flipped her hair, Wu Chen's mother started to pity Yi Fei and patted Yi Fei's shoulder to console her. Wu Chen's mother thought that Yi Fei would be a bit sad because she got ignored, but then, Wu Chen's mother realized that Yi Fei's eyes were fixed on a guy who was approaching them.

Since Yi Fei was short, it was quite difficult to see her amongst the crowd. Yi Fei grabbed Wu Chen's mother hand and whispered "CODE RED! CODE RED! Retreat!"

After that, Yi Fei took Wu Chen's mother hand and led her away to hide behind a wide pillar near the cosplayer booth. Yi Fei kept on looking at the specific man who was now walking with Ying Yue.

Wu Chen's mother tried to identify the ident.i.ty of the man whom Yi Fei attempted to hide from, and she had this puzzled expression on her face when she saw the man. The cold Jun Liu? Chen's best friend?

"Auntie, I am so sorry for suddenly pulling you into hiding like this… Do you know Cupid?" Yi Fei was so serious while she asked the question. The question was random too. Wu Chen's mother wondered if Wu Chen fell in love with Yi Fei because of this trait.

"Cupid as in the ancient Roman G.o.d of love?" Wu Chen's mother didn't understand why but she felt obliged to play along with Yi Fei. She had a gut feeling that she will have a lot of fun if she played along with Yi Fei. Even NaNa mentioned that it was fun to be around Yi Fei. So, Wu Chen's mother wanted to try having fun too.

Yi Fei nodded her head vehemently.

"I am going to play Cupid for NaNa and that guy" Yi Fei pointed towards Jun Liu. Wu Chen's mother wanted to express her refusal towards Yi Fei's idea because the cold guy Jun Liu was not suited for her beloved sweet NaNa.

Yi Fei sensed that Wu Chen's mother was not into her idea, but Yi Fei won't give up just yet. She could see that there was a spark of love between NaNa and Jun Liu, so she wanted to help them.

"Auntie…" Yi Fei put her hand on the shoulder of Wu Chen's mother and stared right into her eyes.

"There are those who love themselves and only themselves. And then, there are those who love everyone else but themselves. With one so selfish and the other so helpless, I am sure that there is a way to solve this imbalance." Yi Fei then stuck out her hand.

"Are you with me, auntie?"

Wu Chen's mother didn't know why but she seemed convinced by Yi Fei's lengthy sentences. She took Yi Fei's hand to shake it.

"Feel! Chok! Cross! Yosh!" Yi Fei shook hand with Wu Chen's mother and took out her mobile phone while Wu Chen's mother turned on her camera.
