"Your highness, the ground will be destroyed now!" He was informed by a General who was tightly holding onto the handle of his sabre.

"What the h.e.l.l is going on?!" One of the Generals of the Satellian Fort shouted in frustration.

"The Lunar forces are mysteriously decreasing, they simply vanished during the night!" Another one said.

"Do you think they are retreating?" The same one that shouted, asked the rest of them inside the tent.

"Impossible, their main objective was probably to take over our Fort, they have the force needed, something is wrong..." The oldest General spoke up as he was seated on a wooden chair...

However, just before he could further talk, there was a ma.s.sive explosion from the Fort's bailey!

Then came the gunshots and voices of hundreds... no wait! There were thousands of voices of soldiers!

"WHAT THE h.e.l.l IS HAPPENING?!" The old General shouted as all the men inside the tent gathered outside immediately...

"THE LUNARIANS ARE HERE!" They heard m.u.f.fled cries of their soldiers, the voices weren't clear enough because there were too many voices and the entire area was covered in dust and smoke.

The Satellian forces quickly arrived and gathered.

Suddenly, various magic spells were thrown at them, the magic spells activated on contact with the soldiers and killed them violently...

The Fort was filled with painful screams, moans and shouts of rage and anger.

It was a cesspool of negative emotions, Alexis calmly walked out and shouted.

"ATTACK!" He ordered his soldiers who then charged the surprised and shocked Satellians, while holding onto their rifles that were fixed with bayonets...

The soldiers in black, as he called the Lunarian army, roared and plunged the sharp knives into their enemies, mercilessly.

Some shot the Satellians who wore orange outfits, they tried to escape but it was in vain as they fell down dead.

The Satellian Generals were shocked at the situation they were in, not a single one of them thought that their enemy would dig through the walls and attack from the underneath!

Soon after, the Lunar forces spread out into the Fort as many more of their reinforcements arrived from the tunnel, this happened until there were two million Lunar soldiers.

The ma.s.sacre of the orange uniformed Satellians went on for hours and hours until the floor was literally covered blood, dead bodies of both Lunar and Satellian soldiers alike...

Alexis walked through the bodies, the sound of shoes. .h.i.tting on liquid was the only thing he heard, the bodies, all he could see...

This was the biggest offensive in the entire war, it came with a cost... nearly six hundred thousand Lunarian soldiers had died, all two million Satellians were killed, even those that had surrendered...

Alexis knew some things would happen, most of the soldiers he brought with him were inexperienced and had just seen the brutality of war, with the overload of death, murder, rage, sadness and hate, they would end up going on killing sprees, showing no mercy to anyone that did not wear 'their' clothes.

The first stain in history was made on this day...

Alexis sighed, the families of the soldiers were the next targets...

He would have to stop before the entire thing becomes an even bigger mess.

He arrived at the quarters of the families of the Satellian soldiers and stood at the gate, waiting for his bloodthirsty soldiers...

The soldiers stopped, regaining a sliver of clarity after seeing their prince infront of them.

"Do not attack the civilians..." Alexis ordered them, the veteran soldiers walked upto him and stood behind Alexis...

"Anyone who harms, kills or rapes civilians, will be executed!" He glared at them and brought upon his mana to pressurise his soldiers, it was done to wake them up from their frenzy...

At the end of the day, there were quite a few soldiers in the army, that were executed for all of the crimes committed against civilians.

He could stop them, but couldn't avoid certain things from happening...

The night sky was illuminated by a full moon, if one were to closely, the craters seemed to resemble the continent, almost as if the continent was under the authority of the moon itself...

But ofcourse, only a few individuals saw this...

"Sir, the civilians are angry with the occupation..." Alexis was informed by a soldier who seemed a bit shook after the entire ma.s.sacre in the Fort.

"Scare them... threaten to kill them, make them silent!" He heard a General shout and turned to the soldier.

"Let them be angry. If they attack, arrest them. They are just scared and confused..." Alexis explained as the soldier nodded and left.

'If I wasn't here, then who knows what would have happened...'Alexis groaned and shook his head.

"Generals, we have taken the objective! Let the Satellian messengers enter our empire..." He sighed while the Generals cheered and laughed merrily.

"Send me a letter so I can come back and also, take care of my horse!" Alexis then teleported back to the Capital.

Florestine sat on the edge of the bed, she was wearing silk night robes, and sighed for the umpteenth time, she went through a book written by an ancient philosopher...

Most of the words quoted did not make sense, if a ruler were to be apathetic, who would he care for?

She then felt a distortion in the barrier, it wasn't a forced response but rather, an acceptance...

Florestine went out eagerly and stood at the entrance of the palace, her eyes teary but filled with joy and excitement.

Feeling two hands hold her by the waist gently, she rested the back of her head on the man behind her.

"I'm back..." Alexis whispered and carried her, surprising Florestine who yelped but suddenly blushed knowing where they were going...

"Father, I'm back" Alexis greeted Aurelius who looked at him in shock but then a smile crept up his face as he laughed heartily and embraced his son.

"You're finally back! Are you fine? No injuries, right?" Aurelius asked him worriedly as Alexis shook his head and stepped back slightly.

"Nothing's wrong with me, I came to inform you that 'Fort Heaven's box' belongs to us now!" He smirked and sat on the table, Aurelius was too surprised to notice this...

' Heaven's Box!' He shouted inside his head and quickly turned to Alexis who shrugged.

"We dug through the ground and ambushed them!" Alexis answered with a small chuckle.

"My goodness! ...What about the Satellians?" Aurelius asked in a low voice.

"Didn't seem very happy from the beginning to be honest with you..." Alexis mumbled with a smile as Aurelius facepalmed.

"They have made weapons similar to ours... but they are weak, and they don't know how to use them properly!" Alexis stated.

"What do you mean?"

"Their strategies do not suit the weapons they use, in other words... they are still stuck in the old days..." He simplified as Aurelius snorted.

"How cruel, the world is still in the old days just that we are... too advanced" He continued with a nostalgic smile as Alexis shrugged.

"By the way, I killed all of their messengers before we took the Fort." Alexis notified him, Aurelius had a frown and glanced at his son sadly.

"...I understand that it was necessary..." The older man sighed, looking defeated.

"If you can't handle the guilt, just give me the Crown, I need to take over the continent or atleast be the puppet master of it..." Alexis sighed.

"No... you enjoy your life for some more time." He heard Aurelius' voice and nodded.

"But you do know that I'm already the Emperor right?" Alexis asked his father curiously, the man nodded and pat his shoulder.

"Just don't let it cloud your mind..." Aurelius warned him, the faction of the Crown Prince has gotten immensely powerful... it was rich, influential and even had the power to back itself up!

"...Cloud me huh?" Alexis mumbled.

He could just walk into the City square and announce that he was the Emperor and people will support him and overthrow Aurelius...

Eventhough Aurelius was called the 'Saint Emperor' for his kindness, people would side with someone who is powerful, it was not a matter of loyalty, but survival...

"I think you should visit your mother, she is stil worried about you..." Aurelius urged him to visit Annalise.

Alexis nodded and left the room and teleported to the courtyard of his mother's palace...

"Your highness!" The maids squealed seeing him, Alexis wore a long sleeved shirt, the top part was unb.u.t.toned giving him a very rebellious look.

They gave him flirtatious looks and winks but Alexis smiled wryly and got inside, he then knocked on the door of his mother's room...

Annalise hearing the knocks and ordered whoever was outside to come in.

"Mother, I'm back..." Alexis' voice resounded in the room, he then walked in and was immediately tackled.

"Gukgh!" He gasped in pain and suffocated...

"Can't breath!" He shouted as she released him and knocked him on the head.

"I'm sorry, okay?" Alexis stated with a wry smile as she nodded.

He was then tackled again from behind.

"G.o.dd.a.m.nIT!" Alexis shouted and turned to the blob of red hair.

"h.e.l.lo Irene." He greeted his little sister who was now past the age of thirteen...

"Brother!" She shouted happily and hugged him.

Alexis groaned, this was why he didn't want to go to the palace...

"Did you see it?"

"Yes... The full moon..."

"I remember reading writings of the same thing happen around one and a half millennia ago... Could it be?" The voice stopped not sure of what she was getting at.

"Correct, The continent will once again be set ablaze by the flames of war..." A gruff voice answered.

"Quite magical isn't it? The Lunar Empire is always watched over by the moon..."

"Supreme Elder, What are we going to do now?"

"...Nothing, it was a full moon... maybe this time?"

"Taking over the continent... seems very farfetched but your ancestors have all tried to do so since the fall of the Kingdom, Supreme elder..."

"Let's not speak about the Kingdom, it was a failing state full of corruption and vile deeds." Philip spoke.

In a dark building, several men and women wearing yellow robes conversed with one another...

After the last person spoke, the entire area went silent as the men and women nodded and disappeared.

'I can't stop Alexis... hopefully he knows what he is doing!' Philip thought and sighed, he then walked away as the darkness shrouded the outline of his figure...

The next day, the entire city was full of cheers and celebrations.

The Lunar Empire had taken over the Satellian Fort that had kept the Lunarians away since the founding of the empire...

This news spread throughout the continent like wildfire, from small nations to the other two great nations.

The Republic was rapidly expanding it's military which was followed by the Kingdom of Ritzburg, the Satellian Empire will hold peace treaties between itself and the Lunar Empire in the Kingdom of Enleitz...

While the war has come to an end in the East, another one was brewing in the West, many theorized that it would be the spark of a major war involving all four powers, people were stacking up on food items while militaries are upgrading their weapons...

Alexis, who was the cause of this big mess, knew that the war he would start will forever be immortalised in the minds of this generation and the generations to come.

All he needed to do was develop technology which he has done... now he has to wait for the system to activate, which will happen in around six years time...
