It was as dark as it could get, blacker than black. There was no sound and not a single object in sight. He then realised he was in "The Abyss" or so they say...

He knew he had a body, he felt he had a body but... why was he naked? However before he could think any further, he was shining brightly and illuminated the dark abyss and found out just how dark It truly was or maybe it was because there was no end to it that made it worse?

Snake didn't know...

He remembered his childhood... or for as long as he can remember.

Snake... or rather, Alexis No surname, was probably given to an orphanage because the only thing he remembers is the orphanage he was put into.

It was no "secret spy facility", it was your regular orphanage with a lot of kids and caretakers... at some point, he wanted to experience familial love but had forgotten about it some time ago in his teenage years.

By the age of Sixteen, Alexis was kicked out of the orphanage because he could now work part time in a fast food chain and earn some money, normally this wasn't the case but considering the area where he lived most of his life... it was good enough, once you toughened up ofcourse...

As a Sixteen year old with no higher education, he turned to the only thing that would've paid him... selling drugs.

Alexis was smart, smarter than your average Joe. He joined the most influential gang in his area and worked as the delivery boy for drugs.

For two years, he would outsmart the cops and deliver the drugs to the gang's business partners and after gaining recognition from the higher ups by the age of Eighteen, he decided to become a spy for them and would be taught everything that he missed in his teenage years which included college level education...

Through the years, the gang grew bigger in number and gathered more influence, they would also be fighting in gang wars regularly.

If Alexis left the gang, then what? He would be lost... with no qualifications and certificates he wouldn't be able to find a job therefore he did the only thing he can do...

By the time Alexis was twenty one, he was one of the more prominent members of the gang, belonging to the "inner circle" and a spy that worked for the boss.

His a.s.signment was to gather information on a rich family, suspected to be an aide of the rival gang...

The mission went horribly in the last few days as he suspected someone had ratted him out.

And now here floats Alexis... confused and scared...

He knew that he had committed terrible things when he was alive but it was simply his way of life and if G.o.d judged him for being born in the wrong place and at the wrong time, then Alexis could only smile wryly and swear at him... or her.

After some time, the light that was being emitted from his body became dim and dimmer until it completely went away.

Alexis then waited for something to happen, he waited and waited...

"h.e.l.lO?!" Alexis shouted, you could hear the frustration in his voice. He was worried about his reincarnation, his paradise.

There was still no answer, coupled up with the fact that it was so silent, Alexis was bound to go crazy...

At some point, he had decided to count from one to until something happened, Alexis did so as a countermeasure so that he wouldn't necessarily go insane.

"Nine hundred ninety nine billion nine hundred ninety nine million nine hundred ninety nine thousand nine hundred ninety nine" Alexis counted, he was just about to say "One trillion".

Sometime ago, as a result of this solitude he had created an extra personality to cope up with it, he called it "Bubbly Snake" and as the name states, he became a happy go lucky person...

*BING!*

Alexis' eyes were wide open when he heard the electronic noise, he was happy and tears flowed down his eyes.

(A/N: Bubbly Snake is the current personality, That's why Alexis is crying.)

He saw a big blue floating screen, coming towards him.

Alexis waited until it was floating right infront of him and proceeded to jump on it and hug it while crying.

"Boohoo! I thought I was abandoned in this dark place! Why didn't you come earlier??" He vented his frustrations out on the screen which was silent... until it sent a glowing green orb the size of a baby's fist into Alexis.

Alexis who was currently at a low mental state immediately felt himself relieved of something he couldn't quite put his hand it. Atleast he got his true personality back and immediately regretted dying...

"No... what even... disgusting..." the memories of "Bubbly Snake" returned to him as Alexis fell down on the darkness if you could even call it that... and became depressed, it was out of his character but what he had done when he was "Bubbly Snake" was worse!

After getting himself together, Alexis stood up and turned to the screen again, he tapped on the big [START] b.u.t.ton in the screen.

*BING!*

[User, this is the Reincarnation System, a chance to reincarnate was given to you by the random picking of the Administrator, it will guide you to your world of choice!]

The system said as Alexis nodded his head, 'this Administrator might be G.o.d... or someone like him' he mused.

"System, are you like those systems from the light novels some people read?" Alexis asked as the system hovered in one place.

[Incorrect, System is not attached to User's soul, the correct term for those systems are "Soul Binding Mini A.I System", I am ranks above them!]

Alexis sweatdropped, 'it's quite prideful isn't it?' He thought.

"You said Reincarnation, does that mean I can live a carefree and luxurious life?" He asked the system which suddenly went silent.

'Karma points?' Alexis winced at that, if it were "those" karma points, then he would have to kiss his reincarnation goodbye...

He prayed to whatever G.o.ds and G.o.ddesses and even thought about selling his soul. He wanted a nice relaxing retirement life and he was randomly picked aswell, if he lost his chance now that would be the biggest joke of his lifetime!

The system said monotonely while Alexis nodded his head.

"You said that I have an option, but my karma points are way lower than the required amount? Are you planning something?" Alexis asked the blue screen cautiously, his eyes were cold...

"A background of my choosing eh?" Alexis smirked, 'I'm given such a good deal, only a fool would let this go...' he thought and opened his mouth to speak.

"What is this 'job' that your gracious Administrator has asked me to do?" He asked the system with a weird smile.

Alexis sighed, it seems like he has to do one last job before he can live a carefree life...

"I see... Then I, Alexis will accept this job of yours! I want to be born as the Crown Prince of the most powerful country in Terra! The powers I have chosen are 1)Huge Mana Reserves 2)Immortality and 3) Perfect Knowledge of all languages in Terra!"

The system said monotonely as Alexis was blinded by a bright white light... and everything went dark.
