Chapter 548: Chaos Bell, G.o.d-Killing Spear
Despite calling it seclusion, Jiang He was in fact diving straight inside his Farm after entering the sealed room.
“Dumbo, Trumbo!”
Jiang He called up his pets and asked, “Where are the treasures?”
Those two were in charge of gathering everything inside the vaults at the base camps of the G.o.ds and the Demons. Every mystic treasure and medicinal pellet was therefore in their possession.
At Jiang He’s question, Dumbo and Trumbo took out two Spatial Rings and poured every mystic treasure and medicinal pellet down to the ground.
All at once, Demonic Qi and G.o.dly Qi erupted and fused in the Farm, dyeing the entire Farm in two colors.
Jiang He studied at the two mountainous piles of mystic treasures and medicinal pellets.
The G.o.ds’ mystic treasures and medicinal pellets had a special sacred presence to them, whereas the Demons were overflowing with Demonic Qi, and both auras were clearly distinct.
“Aren’t contrasting races like these supposed to be at odds even if it kills them, like it is written in the novels?”
Jiang He complained. “Why would the G.o.ds and Demons forge an alliance?”
Ahem!
Having heard Jiang He’s complaint, Trumbo adjusted his reading gla.s.ses and explained seriously, “Master, I have recently read text about the worlds’ rise, and found out about various records left by various major races… the G.o.ds and the Demons had definitely been rivals in the past.”
“Both races often waged wars and slaughtered each other… but they had to join forces following the rise of the Three Realms.”
“Eh?”
Jiang He was surprised.
Were the Three Realms that terrific?
Still, he thought that it makes sense after considering it.
Other factors aside, when it comes to their finest, the Three Realms had Six Saints, while both the G.o.ds and the Demons had four Saints combined.
Likewise, the Three Realms was universally acknowledged as the faction with the greatest number of Demi-Saints, and the most powerful of that rank!
The Chan Sect’s Twelve Golden Immortals, the Jie Sect’s inner and outer disciples—all of them were one-of-a-kind elites.
Even so, that was not the reason why the G.o.ds and Demons forged an alliance, because the real reason was the fact that the Three Realms directly moved Primeval to the celestial battlefield.
The celestial battlefield was exceedingly unique, and each of the battlefields within offered the finest trials for all races.
Moreover, there were a lot of Secret Realms within, where various rarities and precious materials could be found, making the place an important source of riches for all races.
The Chaos reaching deep in the celestial battlefield also drew the finest elites toward it. Each of the chaos creatures was worth an astronomical value, and the many alternate dimensions contained treasures that attracts even Saints.
Therefore, the G.o.ds and the Demons had to create an alliance to prevent the Three Realms from creating a monopoly.
In turn, their va.s.sal races had only defected to the G.o.ds, Demons, or other hegemons to acquire some resources.
As a matter of fact, the Three Realms had many va.s.sal races as well.

Trumbo enjoyed reading, and had gathered many texts, be it cla.s.sic or modern after arriving at the celestial battlefield.
If it had no work to do, it would be sunbathing while reading, which was why it was quite learned in such matters.
Be that as it may, Jiang He was still a little confused by Trumbo’s explanation.
Waging wars over measly scores of cultivation resources?
And not just any war—but a war between races that persisted over endless eras… was that even worth it?
However, Jiang He had never experienced the scarcity of resources ever since he began cultivation, and therefore never would feel strongly about such things.
Calling the Seven Bottle Gourd Brothers and the Nine Wise Rock Monkeys to him, he divided the mountain piles of mystic treasure and medicinal pellets between them and instructed, “Work hard and plant this stuff from now on, so that everything would grow in the shortest time possible!”
“My immortal arts cultivation would be around Demi-Saint by the time we’re done. With both my martial arts and immortal arts reaching full-fledged Demi-Saint, my combat ability would reach the same level of the Grand Mage of Xuandu.”
It was only natural that Jiang He had factored in certain matters.
For example, reaching the Grand Mage of Xuandu’s level meant being an equal to the man’s actual combat ability, and not his ability while he wielded the three treasures of Taishang Laojun.
In fact, the Grand Mage of Xuandu’s actual combat ability was equal to the Stoners’. Still, he could kill Stoners easily with the three treasures of Taishang Laojun, and he would not be beaten even if he was against average Saints, such as the Lesser Saint of the Western Sect!
“Becoming a full-fledged Demi-Saint and Eternal-tier martial artist is not enough if I want to reach that level… I need to improve myself with mystic treasures and cultivation manuals.”
As Jiang He considered his future path, he dug a whole and planted the forty-eight corpses of Demi-Saints and the forty-six soul treasures.
He poured in a pack of Living Soil of the Nine Heavens before burying it, and wiped the nonexistent sweat off his brow while sighing, “Really… after not farming with my bare hands for so long, suddenly farming mystic treasure and corpses again really take me back.”
Dumping the shovel aside, Jiang He then began to plan his future path of cultivation.
Saint-tier?
That could be put aside for the moment.
If people like the Grand Mage of Xuandu and the Nether River Patriarch were stuck as Demi-Saints over endless eras, it was certainly unrealistic for him to become Saint by relying on his farm and self-made cultivation manuals.
As for mystic treasures?
The Eight-Trigrams canvas, the Golden PaG.o.da, and the Flags of the Five-Elements were all the best innate soul treasures there were across all worlds…
“I can’t create a cultivation manual that improves me to Saint instantly, but one which improves my fighting ability is worth considering.”
“When it comes to combat, the pinnacle of the fourteenth-tier in martial arts would not lose out to full-fledged Demi-Saints. With Eternium, martial artists would be stronger than cultivators at close-range… which is why I should develop a new martial arts technique as soon as I can as well.”
“As for mystic treasures… I may be an item refinist, but innate soul treasures come to be through natural means, and could never be crafted.”
“Powerful acquired soul treasures would definitely be a match or even outshine certain premium-grade innate soul treasures. Still, there would still be a gap between those and innate paragon treasures like the Chaos Bell, Eight Trigrams Canvas, and the Golden PaG.o.da.”
Perhaps he could craft mystic treasures that could match mystic treasures at the level of the Eight Trigrams Canvas and the Golden PaG.o.da?
That was unrealistic.
However, Jiang He was also aware that many powerful mystic treasures had gone missing over the endless eras, and that included the Chaos Bell.
The Chaos Bell was an innate soul treasure that could match the Eight Trigrams Canvas and the Golden PaG.o.da. It also possessed the power to subjugate cosmic dusts before they formed worlds, reverse dimensions, develop fates, and refine the four elements.
It was missing since the fall of the Eastern Emperor.
Someone claimed to have seen it at the chaotic realms in the depths of the celestial battlefield, hovering in the deepest parts of chaos and even hurting a Demi-Saint Demon.
That was not confidential information, however, since many elites were aware of that. Ages ago, many of them delved deep into the chaos in search of the Chaos Bell, with even the Saints mounting their own expeditions… but all of them ended in failure.
“Aside from the Chaos Bell, there’s also the G.o.d-Killing Spear belonging to Rahu of the Demon Race…”
Jiang He’s gaze changed as his mind sprang into action. “Innate paragon treasures such as the Chaos Bell would have developed their sentience, and it is going to be very hard to find it after it hides itself deep within chaos.”
“But the G.o.d-Killing Spear… is said to be broken!”
“It’s an innate paragon treasure of killing… if I could just find one fragment and plant it, I just might be able to grow it!”
Watching as Dumbo, Trumbo, and the others planted the troves of mystic treasure and medicinal pellets, Jiang He timed himself so that he would return for the harvest, and left the Farm in a flash.
“Eh…?”
Just outside the sealed room, Jiang He ran into Zhao Gongming, who had been strolling around aimlessly. He exclaimed in shock when he saw Jiang He. “Weren’t you going to seclude yourself, Brother Jiang He? Has your cultivation concluded so quickly?”
Jiang He beat around the bush and smiled. “Brother, do you know where the fragments of the Demons’ G.o.d-Killing Spear is now, after it was shattered all those years ago?”
“Fragments of the G.o.d-Killing Spear? Why would you ask about that?”
Zhao Gongming appeared puzzled, “Not even my martial uncle could possibly reforge it… there’s not much power in the fragments either, so it had long since been forgotten.”
“By the way, you could try asking Brother Many Treasures. He loves to collect things, and he might have information about that.”
