The sound of water flowing could be heard from ahead, and a violet mist filled the landscape. In front was a vast expanse of land.

If one looked closely, they would find that this Violet Vine was continuously moving and twisting, as if it was dancing. It gave off streaks of violet light, which looked like lightning streaking across the sky, as it defended against the attacks from a group of cultivators.

This was a group of vicious and savage cultivators. There were 20 or so of them, and they held various weapons as they slashed towards the Violet Vine.

The light from the weapons glinted, and just was they were about to hit the Violet Vine, the sound of metal clashing sounded out. A man was sent flying as a wave of force travelled through his hand, sending his body into the putrid marsh behind them.

Just as the man fell in the marsh, his body turned black and as he cried out, his body slowly decayed.

As the violet light flashed, person after person was sent flying into the marsh and slowly decomposed.

In an instant, many people had been devoured by the marsh. Once they fell in, there was no hope for them at all.

This marsh was situated in front of the cliff face and seemed to extend forever. Bubbles continuously popped at the surface, giving off a poisonous gas. Any Body Tempering cultivator would die after taking a breath of that poisonous gas.

“G.o.ddamit, why is there such fatal poison in that marsh?” the men cursed.

At the same time, some cultivators at the Ninth Layer of Body Tempering retreated, not daring to attack the Violet Vine.

“Captain, this Violet Vine’s too strong; it’s very hard to kill it!” a man beside him exclaimed.

As he spoke, the Violet Vine continued to attack, and its branches continued to lash out at the men.

“Go and collect some poisonous water to throw on the Violet Vine; I don’t believe that it won’t be corroded,” the captain said in a low voice.
