"NO!" I screamed so loud the whole palace probably hear me.
"But, sweetie..." You could tell my mother was trying hard not to cry by my sudden actions. My mother was a tough mother, but if she thinks she hurt his children in anyway she'll blame herself.
"I SAID NO!" And with that I stormed out. I wasn't really paying attention to wear I was going but the next thing I know I'm in the gardens.
How am going to get through the Trial, I thought. The Trial was a trial where it's a compet.i.tion between the lords and lady's children were supposedly win the heart of the Prince. The kids would spend years trying to reach perfection just so they can have more power because it's what their parents put in their heads. Everyone yearns for some type of power right?
The Trial's formal name is QueensTrial. But if their is a daughter as the first heir it is known as KingsTrial. For more than 2 century's the first heir had always been a son.
QueensTrial, how am I going to survive.
Ava's POV
I was walking down the hospital hallways turning down random corners. Tears were rushing down my face like a waterfall. My eyes started to sting and my vision got blurry.
I don't want child services to take me away. They can't. They won't. I'm Ava Smith for crying out loud.
I was so engrossed in my thoughts I didn't notice I ran into someone I till we both fell to the ground.
"I'm so sorry I didn't watch where I was going." I was rambling on.
"It's okay. Are you okay though." I looked up to see none other than the Princess. THE Princess. Of f.u.c.k now I'm really screwed.
Her ink black hair was pulled back into a single braid while she wore a simple white floral dress.
"Yup." I said popping the P. I tend to do that now when I'm nervous.
"I'm Anabelle Shaw. You can call me Belle."
"Yea I know you. I mean who wouldn't your part of the royal family." Rich people, you thought rolling your eyes.
"Well since you know my name what's yours."
"Ava Smith." I replied finally gaining my composure and putting up a unreadable mask.
"Wanna tell me why your crying?"
What the f.u.c.k why not. Wait. Maybe she can stop me from being taken by child services and help out Anna. I mean she is part of the royal family.
I slow smile started to spread across my face.
"Sure."
So I told her everything. I told her about being verbally abuse. My family. My parents divorce when I was 4. Me having to work secret jobs on the weekend to help out my Mom. Which only my friends knew about. About Anna's past. How Anna ended up in the hospital. It just all came spilling out.
"I'm sorry." She said trying to comfort you.
"Eh you learn to live with it." I shrugged standing up and starting my walk again.
"Where you going?"
"I'm going to get clothes for my friend so she doesn't have to wear that horrid hospital gown." I shuddered thinking about myself wearing one.
"I'm gonna guess your the one that picks out everyone's outfit?" She raised a eyebrow in my direction.
"Is that even a question." I than gestured to my clothes. I was wearing a blue and white striped shorts that tie up into a bow at the waist with blue shirt tucked in to match. And to top it off I was wearing my Nike Air Force shoes.
"I guess not." She replied laughing.
At this point she was following me and I couldn't care less the less time I have alone with my thoughts the better.
We stayed in silence for a few minutes till Belle finally spoke up "Maybe I can help you." As a smirk formed on the princess face.
"What do you mean?"
"I can help you get a job to pay for college and make sure you and your friend don't go into child services hands."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
A smile crept up on both of your faces after that.
