The last thing I saw was his smirking face staring down at me.

Anna's POV

I almost fell asleep on Mathew until we heard a blood curling scream. And a very colorful string of words.

"Stay here."

He walked away slowly. I looked behind me to see if anyone else heard it and sure enough, everyone did. n.o.body moved until Thomas started frantically looking around. Then it dawned on me. Ava was nowhere to be seen and Brook was standing at the back of the grand entrance smirking at me. She mouthed 'your next' and I instantly froze from fear. I turned back around silently praying Mathew would return soon.

I soon heard screaming followed by the sound of boots crunching gravel. Sure enough, a whole army of guards comes running past. I follow behind the guards hoping to not get noticed. Soon we stop at a secluded area full of trees. There laid a lifeless Ava covered in blood. Her dress was no longer white instead of red. Her hair broke free from its braided crown while b.u.t.terflies littered her hair. I gasped at my best friend's lifeless form. I dropped to the ground sobbing. I can't lose her too I already lost my parents. I felt strong arms lifting me up and holding me. I breathed in the familiar scent of his cologne before I turned back to see my best friend. Thomas had picked her up and was silently crying. Belle stood next to him and hugged him keeping him close. That was the last thing I remembered.

Ava's POV

I could hear voices. I struggled to open my eyes but I couldn't. I tried to move my body but I felt like stone. I couldn't move.

"Will she be okay?"

"She will but unfortunately due to brain damage and a few other injures she is in a coma." The doctor. I recognize his voice.

"How long?" A different voice spoke this time.

"A few days hopefully. She will have to stay in bed for a few days when she does wake up."

I head the door shut but I couldn't Identify who left. I soon fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke up still feeling stiff. I heard the rustling of papers moving and the sound of a chair sc.r.a.ping against the floor. Footsteps came towards me. I felt the bed sink down next to me. Someone placed a soft kiss to my forehead before saying "I love you." Thomas. That was my last thought before I fell back into that dreamless sleep.

How long I've been out for is a mystery to me. Every day people come to visit. Even Queen Elara came. Obviously Rachel Anna, and Cam every day. Anna told me all about what happened at the party. My eyes slowly fluttered open showing I'm not in my own room. The room was breathtaking. Gold curtains blocked the moonlight while there was a gold dresser as well. The bedspread was red along with the rug. I turned over forcing my body to move. I heard a bunch of cracking coming from my back. s.h.i.t. Once I was fully on my side I was met with a muscular back. Uh oh. I leaned up on one elbow to see who it was and sure enough thanks to my luck it was Thomas. He looked so calm. His eyes slowly flutter open and his bronze eyes bored into mine.

"Ava." He breathed. I didn't trust my voice so instead, I just nodded. He sat up against the headboard and pulled me close to him. He a so warm.

"What day is it?" I asked suddenly realizing how dry my throat was.

"Its the 5th."

"Of July?!"

"Yes now go back to sleep. You need the rest."

"No"

"What do you mean no."

"I'm thirsty plus I've been sleeping for the past few days."

"I'll go get some water." He got up and I realized he was only wearing sweatpants which hung low revealing his abs.

"Like what you see." G.o.d, that d.a.m.n smirk can make any girl swoon.

"No." I replied bluntly.

Soon he came back with some water and within seconds I drank it all.

"Now go back to sleep." I whinnied what he said. He got back into bed and rolled overtaking me with him. Now I laid curled up into him on my side. His strong arms wrapped around my waist while his head rested against my own. And that night I didn't fall into a dreamless sleep. Instead, I dreamed of getting sweet revenge.
