Su Xiuying was merely sixteen years old. Her features were pretty and delicate, one could tell in time she would be a stunning beauty.

"What does Shen Jie want? You have great favors on me. If it's within my ability would do my best to help you."

Shen Yue's smile softened. She sighed once again. "I know you don't like talking about this and I have not asked you this before. But I need to know now. How is the case going between you and... Qin Chanpu."

Su Xiuying's eyes widened, likewise, her hands trembled. 

But she did not say anything.

"You are smarter than I expected. Congratulations. You have earned my admiration" Qin Chanpu announced once Chen Yi entered his office. 

He cued his attendant to close the door. Yuan Wen closed the door before leaving. 

Chen Yi looked back at the door then back at Qin Chanpu who sat with an uncanny smile. Without an ounce of nervousness, she walked forth and claimed the chair. "Manager Qin called me to congratulate me."

"Not so soon, sweetheart."

Chen Yi winced, her forehead crunching up into a frown. 

"I acknowledge you have won a rather promising spot. If you walk along the path, your future is bright." Qin Chanpu lured her with these words. "However..."

"However?" Chen Yi raised an eyebrow.

"However, you should know for the final permission, the contract requires my sign." Qin Chanpu's smile became increasingly nefarious. "You should know your cousin, Chen Ying would never want you to take on the role." He walked closer to Chen Yi. His front b.u.t.tons were undone, his tie loose. Sitting over the table not a few inches away from Chen Yi, he smiled down at her. "But I can help you. She would never know and you'll get my signs."

"And let me guess, this favor comes at a price?" 

"I like your straightforwardness." Qin Chanpu laughed. 

He had no fear. He had his way with Su Xiuying before. And look, he had gotten away unscathed, hadn't he? With Chen Ying's help, there was nothing that was impossible. The court case was as good as gone. Lawyer Jian had some connections. Soon, Su Xiuying would take back her claims.  Xu Jiayi had tried to poke his nose here and there but he couldn't find any leeway.

He could take liberties as he wished.

No one could stop him.

Wasn't that Su Xiuying just like this Chen Yi? Now, what happened to her confidence? She could not even stand before him without shivering. If not for Shen Yue taking away that girl from him, Qin Chanpu was going to have a lot more fun with her. 

But no regrets.

Now, he had an even more beautiful flower at his hands. 

The purse rush of pleasure he felt through his power over those hapless, unaware women could send him off. 

"Of course, the price is not that much. I just want you to," He leaned closer, his hand extended to grab a strand of Chen Yi's hair. "spare some time to spend with this big brother."

Before he could make any further advances, his arm was twisted back and face down, he was pushed into the desk. It happened so fast, just like a flash of lightning that his mind could not register.

"What the f.u.c.k?!" He struggled to get free. He got his head up a few inches up the table but the next second, a hand grabbed onto his gait, ruthlessly and shoved his head down forcefully. 

He groaned as his head hit the table. His nose, the first being hit. He felt a metallic taste preceding his senses. But none of this scared him as much as the following cold words.

"Do not ever try to touch me again." Chen Yi's eyes were like frozen lakes, cold and lethal.

"Get off me! What are you trying to do, are you insane!"

Not even in his wildest dream could Qin Chanpu had expected something like this. That from a girl on top of that. And even astoundingly, a girl who looked so delicate and pretty as Chen Yi. 

In response to his cries, Chen Yi merely tightened her hold. The fistful of hair in her hands broke, ripping off from the follicles earning another mournful groan from Qin Champu.

"Manage Qin, it seemed you still have not reviewed the contract I signed. Shall I call out on your tardiness? You should know that every artiste signs a slightly modified version of the contract, suiting her priorities." Chen Yi let go of him, standing a few steps away. 

Legs wobbly, with the desk at his back for support, Qin Chanpu frantically whirled around and stared at the monster who smiled at him as if nothing happened. 

"I think it's right time you reviewed the contract I signed. Whether I require your signs or not, whether I need to do those jobs you so painstakingly selected for me or not, all yu queries should be answered." Saying her pieces, Chen Yi picked up her purse, turned around, and left. Not even sparing the horrified Qn Chanpu another glance.

Wen Yuan had been nearby. When he witness an unscathed Chen Yi walking out of the office, confused, he went inside. Only to see Qin Chanpu sitting over his a.s.s, twitching with what he could not tell was whether anger or fear. 

"Manager Qin, what happened?" He was hoping to see such a state but that of Chen Yi, not of his manager.

"You, go, get my laptop!" Qin Chanpu seemed to have lost his mind as he screamed. "The contract she signed, bring me that asap!"

Sensing the urgency in Qin Chanpu's tone, the a.s.sistant also didn't dawdle. Taking out the laptop, he supported Qin Chanpu back to his office chair. Placing the laptop before Qin Chanpu, he immediately opened the joint folder and opened the contract.

Manager Qin, still somewhat out of his mind, scrolled through the clauses.

The first time he read the content, he did not believe it. 

The second time, he read everything, his face paled.

"Manager Qin, what happened? Are you feeling alright?" Wen Yuan had no background knowledge on the matter at hand, he was quite confused. 

"How the f.u.c.k she managed to sign such a bogus contract!" Qin Chanpu almost smashed the laptop to pieces.
