"Oh, and what if I do get a placement in some big production?" Chen Yi said what was in Shen Yue's mind. "I a.s.sume Manager Shen intel network is not weak. She must already be aware of this whole farce surrounding 'Dawn of Eternal Bloodl.u.s.t'."

"You have already lost; Zhao Hua is to be selected!"

"The official list is yet to be announced."

Chen Yi didn't argue, merely stared at Shen Yue in silence. "Chen Ying won't let you stay in the company. Especially after learning that the bogus contract allows me to take in jobs without the company's consent." That meant if she won the role for the Production, Chen Ying would have no means of stopping Chen Yi.

Chen Yi's words. .h.i.t right at Shen Yue's fears. "What the heck you want?"

He wasn't the one who like altercation. 

"I think I need some air." Li Quang readjusted his jacket, turned around, and left without any explanation.

"Young Master, where to?" The driver turned his neck when Li Quang climbed into the rear seats.

"Just drive through the city." Li Quang put his chin over his wrist as he stared at the dark bleakness of the city.

"Shouldn't we be heading home?"

"Nah, I don't want the eldest sister to worry."

Not again. 

His elder sister was the one who arranged this party. She was also somewhat perceptive; if he returned home soon, she would ask around and discover what happened in a matter of seconds.

  Since this has happened a lot of times already, personally Li Quang had grown numb to being a shadow of the main Li family household. But his sister and parents were unresigned to that fate. His such encounters would only fuel their anguish.

"That's actually a good idea." Li Quang looked out of the gla.s.s, a familiar restaurant piqued his interest. "Isn't that the restaurant I used to visit during my childhood? Elder Guang, let's just stop here."

"But Madam asked me not to avoid such places." Li Quang's mother intended him to visit places that up were to his standard. She emphasized he should develop an influential circle of friends. "There's a five-star restaurant a few streets away."

Of course, that was his Mother for him. But Li Quang's thoughts were different from his Mother's.

"Mother won't know unless someone else tells her, would she?" Li Quang beamed at Elder Guang.

Elder Gang sighed in defeat before pulling the car into a reclusive spot to park.

"I'll be quick." Li Quang jumped out of the car with a smile.

Five-star restaurant? So that he could once again be surrounded by those disgusting fake socialites who only had his surname 'Li' in eyes, not him as a person?

Li Quang would rather enjoy simple delicious dishes at this restaurant than get his head spinning looking at all those fancy names on the menu of those so-called five-star restaurants. 

While heading for his favorite spot, Li Quang stopped dead in his tract.

He saw a person he would have never dreamed to meet again.
