He muttered a spell that sparked the bluestone into a ring of hazy light that created a protective shield around them. They would be protected for the night.

Luca slumped himself down, feeling lethargic and clammy underneath his bottle-green body armour. He knew his lùth was draining out to a low point.

"There's a stone crop over there." Corin pointed to a wall of tall rocks.

Darick nodded. He helped Luca to a spot behind the rocks, making sure he was comfortable as they sat against the stone wall to relish the coolness felt to their backs.

"Here." Darick offered Luca some water from a mashk waterskin he carried, but Luca was too weak to accept it.
