Then I take a long blade made of dragon's scale and pierce it into the place were "Sakura's" heart should be.

"About time," Tessa says from amongst the shadows as all around us the fighting ceases.

"I'm not sure," she says as she scans the perimeter in search of something. I follow her gaze to find Gabriel fallen and half-dead. Tessa doesn't look my way nor at those around her she just walks towards him as if he we're all that matters as if Gabriel was the only other being there beside her. "No," she whispers as she falls to her knees and the remnants of their pack form a protective circle around their weeping Queen and now soul Alpha. "Gabriel, please wake up, I need you. They need you," she places his hand on her growing belly and nuzzles her face in his neck.

"Tessa," Lena says as she takes her human form and slowly approaches Tessa.

"No," is all Tessa says, and Lena stops in mid step. Then she lifts her head and as if smelling the air, without warning or hesitation Tessa runs towards Saya tears out her throat in manor of seconds then before anyone can stop her, she kills Arrow. Finally, she walks very slowly towards Yulis who struggles to remain standing.

"Please forgive me, I didn't know," Yulis says as Tessa stands before him eyes the color of storms.

"You didn't know," she repeats as thunder brakes in the northern skies, "he didn't know," she says again with a bit of a maniac laugh. "How the f.u.c.k could you not know?" she lifts him to his feet and walks towards Gabriel. "A soul for a soul," she says and what she does next no one stops. The moment she restores Gabriel's soul she kills Yulis and tosses his corps to the feet of the reaper that stands before us.

"Death disapproves," the reaper says.

"Oh yeah, have her tell me herself, but before she does remind her, she owes me too many d.a.m.ned favors for her to deny me this one thing," and with that Tessa, Gabriel, and both the living and dead members of their pack vanish from sight.
