Nidern looked at Su Ye and asked, “I didn't think that you would want to run a chamber of commerce. This will distract you. Why do you want to make money?”

“To become a legend.”

Su Ye's eyes were gleaming.

“It is very difficult, way more difficult than you think,” Nidern said.

“I am ready,” Su ye said

“Go home. I believe that you will pa.s.s this semester's exam.” Nidern's tone became gentle.

“Thank you, teacher!”

Su Ye made an exactly ninety degrees bow, then turned around and left.

When Su Ye walked to the door, Nidern suddenly said, “Wait a minute.”

Su Ye turned around and looked at Nidern in surprise.

Nidern pondered for a long time and did not speak.

Su Ye felt that there was something wrong with Nidern's att.i.tude toward him. He stood there and waited quietly.

Rolon had long been a Warrior Apprentice, and no one knew Palos's rank.

Laker was beyond everyone's imagination. Although he was not as fast as Su Ye in drawing Magic Arrays, seven mature leaves had already grown on his Tree of Magic.

Moreover, his Tree of Magic had been thicker and taller than Su Ye's ever since it sprouted.

Su Ye attended cla.s.s as usual. However, when the third cla.s.s in the afternoon began, Su Ye felt that there was something wrong with the way his cla.s.smates looked at him.

“Someone is spreading rumors behind your back to slander you! They said that you got 98 points yesterday because you cheated.”

Su Ye was paying attention to the teacher and had no intention of reading the magic message.

Hort kicked Su Ye's foot under the desk with the tip of his foot.

Su Ye looked at Hort in surprise and saw that Hort was gesturing for him to read the magic letter.

Su Ye ran his hand across the Spellbook and the magic message jumped out and spread out on the page.

The moment he saw the message, Su Ye immediately understood why his cla.s.smates were looking at him like that.

Su Ye replied to Hort, “I got the highest score among the students in that exam room, whose answer should I copy? If I could cheat in front of a Gold Mage, I would have graduated long ago. Don't mind them, a straight foot is not afraid of the cooked shoe.”

Hort nodded.

Su Ye seemed to be paying attention to the lecture, but his mind kept wandering.

“Was it an accident, or was someone deliberately spreading rumors?”

When the bell rang, Su Ye was shocked to realize that he had missed the lecture.

Su Ye took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He immediately began to record what had just happened in his Spellbook and reminded himself that he must not delay his learning for such things in the future. If it was particularly important, he should think about it after cla.s.s or after school.

“Su Ye, I have a spell-casting question I wanna talk to you about. You are very good at using the magic rope, much better than me.” Laker stood up, and his voice was much louder than usual.

However, Laker looked very serious, and a wave of faint anger spread across his pale face.
