"Alright. Are we all going to stand here, watching me being her punching bag or are we going to watch the movie?"
You question while rubbing your arm.
The gesture earns chuckles from the guys and some sympathy from the girls, including Jennifer.
Sofia, on the other hand, smirks devilishly.
Despite her size, her punches really hurt. You can fathom why since the System measures her Strength at 13.5 – as much as an athletic.
The highest Strength value you have ever seen is 22.9, just shy of 23.
That number belongs to a huge body builder, showing off to girls at the beach.
The guy must be on a lot of steroid to have that much strength.
Attributes like Strength, Endurance, and Dexterity is the easiest to increase through physical trainings and supplements. It mainly takes time.
You group them all as physical type, including Const.i.tution, which is hardest to train physically.
This is because Const.i.tution relates to the longevity and vitality of a person.
Those with a very high Const.i.tution value will rarely get sick or ill.
They can take a lot of physical beating as well.
As for Sofia, her Const.i.tution is also very high. It is sitting nicely at 15 points.
Hence, that explains why she has never been sick in bed for more than a single day.
It also explains why fighting with her is pointless.
You first met Sofia from way back.
It was during your childhood.
But unlike you, Sofia has many opportunities in life.
She became an actress when she was just an infant, playing the baptism scene of the critical acclaimed movie The G.o.dfather – a movie directed by her father.
Since then, Sofia has acted in many more movies directed by her father.
The public and critics didn't like that because it is evidently nepotism. A lot of negative reviews is also attributed to this fact.
You couldn't blame them.
To be honest, her acting skill is subpar.
It is rated at C-minus by the System.
Even if that is the case, Sofia becomes a well-known celebrity before she was even twenty thanked to her family connection.
Noted that you use the word "celebrity" here instead of star.
Stars are those with talents.
Celebrities are those that is famous for one thing or another.
As for idols, they are in a category of their own.
You have a grand plan to create idols, using everything you have learned from your previous life.
You just need some funding to get started.
Alright, a lot of funding.
It is very expensive to train an idol, but that is for another time.
Right now, you are interested in raising one star – Jennifer Aniston.
Jennifer couldn't compare to Sofia in term of fame and exposure. This is because while her acting skill is just a step from cla.s.s, n.o.body knows her. She just doesn't have the same connection as Sofia.
The world is unfair.
You already know that.
Everyone agreed to your suggestion as the movie should be starting soon. However, before everyone did, another round of introduction was in order.
"This is Jennifer Aniston. She is an actress like you. She got just the right look and ability to be casted as the main heroine for my movie."
You decide to introduce Jennifer to Sofia.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Coppola. My name is Jennifer Aniston."
Jennifer takes the cue.
Sofia scans Jennifer up and down, making the latter feels rather embarra.s.sed.
"Nice to meet you too."
Sofia returns the greeting before turning her attention back to you. She wraps her hands around your arm and use your shoulder as support.
Everyone takes note of this, some more than others.
Nothing can compare to a woman's jealousy.
Well, two women's jealousy is greater than one.
"Seriously. How did you become a director? You can tell me, pretty please?"
You roll your eyes, knowing that Sofia will pester you until you give her a straight answer.
"I got it because I wrote the screenplay, and uncle George believes that only the person who write the script can truly direct the movie and bringing the script to life, alright?"
You tell Sofia. Your voice is laced with your power.
It is to shut her up.
"Really? That does sound somewhat… well, I guess a congratulation is in order, so congratulation!"
Sofia pauses.
A mischievous smile appears.
You sweat-drop. That could only mean something bad.
"Hey. Can I drop by the studio to see the shooting process? It is all for study. I'm trying to be a director myself, but I'm still lacking experience. Don't worry, I won't come every day."
You didn't really want her to come and make a scene when you are shooting your movie.
However, after weighting your options, it is better to let her come.
This is because if you refuse, Sofia will find another way to do so.
It is a bother if Sofia goes off and annoy George Lucas because of you.
The man has other things to consider right now.
Furthermore, by agreeing right now, it acts like a favor. Much less headache later too.
"Okay. You can come and watch, but I need something from you. It is only fair, right?"
"Hmm…"
Sofia mumbles. "What do you need?"
"Just some information."
Since you haven't seen Sofia for a while, you decide to have a small chat with her. You might find out something about a certain person in the process.
Sofia is very knowledgeable about things happening in Hollywood. This is because she is connected to many major players.
"Hey, can you guys go ahead. I need to catch up with Sofia for a bit. There should be like a few minutes of commercial right?"
You tell the guys and the girls. You smile faintly at Jennifer, who isn't sure what to do. She came to the movie because of you, and now you have just abandoned her.
"Don't worry. I won't be long. Save me a seat, okay?"
You tell Jennifer.
"So, how is the filming of Alien? David Fincher is the director, right? I've heard that it is his directorial debut."
You ask Sofia as the rest of group head into the cinema along with a crowd of people.
"Yeah. He is, and it's not good."
Sofia pauses.
"Secret between us. We have been shooting without an actual script."
You are surprised.
Shooting a movie without an actual script is a gamble since only the most talented actors and actresses can make thing on the spot.
"What you mean without a script? Don't you have any screenwriter?"
"Screenwriters? We have three. Arguing back and forth most of the time on how the story should go and can't agree on anything in the end."
Sofia explains further. This is a common problem in movie productions. Too many writers usually mess up the story, but it is a necessary evil to distribute the workload.
You wonder if the movie follows the same plotline in your previous world. Alien and its sequel did, but that didn't mean the third one would. You ask about it.
"Sorry. Can't tell you the storyline. Contract agreement."
"If that is the case, I guess I have no choice but to watch it in theater when it comes out. I hope it isn't like this…"
You begin summarized the entire plotline of Alien 3 from memory, causing Sofia to become stupefied.
"How…? That's the entire plotline! Who tell you!?"
Sofia demands. If the storyline was leaked, then it could be a huge problem for the studio. The contract ensures confidentiality from everyone involved on the project to prevent leaks.
Why would anyone pay to watch the movie in theater if they already know the story?
This is especially true for horror since knowing what happened before hands cheapens the scares.
You feint surprised.
"Seriously? I thought of it when I watched Alien and Alien 2 the other day."
You pause for a moment as your mind formulate a plan.
"I even wrote up the screenplay in my spare time."
Sofia is shocked. She is still trying to digest the fact that you have written your own screenplay for the movie Speed. But to write one so leisurely in your spare time? When did you become such a genius?
"What? Really? Can I have a look at it?
"Sure. I will give it to you tomorrow, but not for free. Wait, that means you owe me another favor."
You smile and caress her hands.
"Tsk. Alright. We have five minutes. It should be enough."
Sofia responses and looks towards the restroom.
You become startled as you know exactly what is on her mind.
"What? I just want information, you s.e.x-fiend!"
