Yoona and Ji-ho decided to go out and eat. Since Ji-ho had a lot of money in his bank account, he wanted to buy Yoona lunch. Besides, what was better than going on a date with a beautiful girl?
Originally, the doctor had told him to stay at home and refrain from physical work, but he wanted to go out and get some fresh air. Luckily, since Yoona didn't know this fact, she agreed quite easily. Otherwise, she would've locked him in Minhyun's home.
"What are you craving?" Ji-ho asked.
Currently, they were walking down the streets. People were walking around them and the smell of delicious foods filled their noses. Since the weather was perfect, with the shining sun and blue skies, the two were in a very good mood.
Yoona glanced over at the different restaurants. "I'm not sure. There's so much to choose from. Do I want sushi? Steak? Pasta? Naengmyun? The choices are endless. "
Ji-ho thought for a moment, trying to think of a solution. "How about we eat everywhere?"
She furrowed her eyebrows. "What do you mean by that?"
"Rich places give a little food anyways. We can eat at a bunch of them until we're full," he said with a grand smile.
That didn't sound like a bad idea. In fact, Yoona was quite compelled to agree with what he was saying. Expensive restaurants did give a little food. That was a fact - probably because the ingredients were expensive. However, seeing that going from restaurant to restaurant was physical work, it wouldn't be the best method for them, particularly for Ji-ho. The exercise might be too much for his body.
"Or," she began. "We can go somewhere that gives us a lot of food. Maybe a buffet? There's a lot of options and its quite expensive. I'm sure there's a high cla.s.s one here somewhere..."
Yoona had never been to a buffet. She was too broke to go to those expensive places. However, since Ji-ho said he wanted to spend as much money as possible today, she decided why not? Although it didn't seem like it, the little boy was a millionaire with nothing to spend this money on.
His expression brightened up. "Sounds yummy! I'll try to find a place on my phone."
Since he was fast with his tech, Ji-ho was able to find a restaurant in only a few minutes. He quickly led her to the doors of a fancy white building.
Ji-ho, as the 'gentleman' he was, opened the door for her. He bowed slightly. "For you."
"Thank you," she replied. She sent him a smile, as well as a nod.
Once they walked inside, they were greeted by a hostess who brought them to a table. Seeing the young workers at the restaurant brought memories back to Yoona. To think she could finally stay out of customer service was a blessing, especially since it was hard to deal with high-end customers. The tips were good, but there was a reason to why not everyone would be able to handle the pressure. She quietly wished the waiters luck.
Once they reached their table, Ji-ho put his hands on his stomach. "Shall we quickly grab our food?"
Yoona nodded, playing along with his words. "We shall."
Since this was a high-cla.s.s buffet, there was expensive selections to choose from. While walking around, with a plate in her hand, she couldn't choose what she wanted. From steak to truffle pasta, every delicacy from the global market was in her palms. She'd never found herself in this big of a dilemma before. There was too much food!
"Oh man," she began. "Maybe this was a bad idea. I can't even choose what I want to eat."
"Then just grab one of everything duh," Ji-ho replied.
"Ah," she said. "That's true."
She started with grabbing the mushroom bisque and went to the sushi section to try all the yummy rolls. All in all, she was in heaven, and she couldn't wait to hurry and place everything in her mouth.
After both of them finished, they sat at their table.
Ji-ho glanced at her plate and giggled. "You stacked your food? You know that you can eat everything and go back for more right?"
Her cheeks reddened. "I-I guess I got carried away."
Ji-ho shook his head. "Poor people."
"Hey!" She exclaimed. "That's rude."
"Then how much money do you have in your bank account?"
Yoona stayed silent.
Ji-ho snickered. "Thought so."
"At least my boyfriend's Chae Minhyun," she retorted. Yoona wasn't the type to use her boyfriend's specs for an argument to make herself look better but she couldn't help but use this card in this conversation. Ji-ho was really looking down on her!
"That's your boyfriend's money not yours," Ji-ho said. "Besides, i'm younger than you and I'm a self-made millionaire."
She lost. "I give up."
A smirk filled his lips. "Good."
Seeing Yoona pout brought giggles to Ji-ho. Although teasing Minhyun was the best since that man was stoic, Yoona's reactions were just as good. Happiness sprung in his chest. This was fun. So fun.
He was going to miss this.
"By the way," Ji-ho said. "I'm going to be straightforward. Have you and Minhyun slept together yet?"
Yoona was in the middle of eating while Ji-ho said this statement. The delicious food that she tried to savor in her mouth turned bland. She looked up, her eyes alarmed.
"Again," she groaned. "You never rest do you?"
"Nope!"
She c.o.c.ked her head. "I don't feel obligated to tell you anything, but I also have a question to say to you. Are you a virgin? Because you're so young and I question how explicit your language could be."
A mischievous smile lit on his face. "Let's just say. Nurse and patient fantasies can sometimes become a reality."
It took a while for Yoona to take in what Ji-ho was saying. Silence filled the air.
Horror filled her eyes. She hoped he was joking because that was gross since Ji-ho was a child and the nurses would be adults. "Oh my G.o.d?!? Are you serious?"
Ji-ho giggled. "I'm joking."
She let out a sigh of relief.
"But," he continued. "On a serious note. I'm a good-looking guy. Of course I've had a girlfriend."
Yoona couldn't believe it. "Even if you had a girlfriend, you're too young to have s.e.x!"
He shrugged. "I knew I was going to die so I decided to check that event off my bucket-list."
"Anyways!" He exclaimed. "That is not important. Right now, it's you and Minhyun!"
She sent him a blank expression. "We've had this conversation before. The answer is going to be the same."
"Yeah, but I got to keep on trying until I get what I want."
She shook her head. "Of course you do. I expect nothing less from you."
"So have you...?"
She sent him a tight smile. "Nope."
Ji-ho pouted. "After all my troubles, y'all still haven't had s.e.x? I'm disappointed."
"Deal with it," Yoona sang.
As they conversed, the food on their plates quickly disappeared. Everything was so good. Although there was a lot of food to make, the chefs really put their hearts in each dish. She knew how hard it was to make such a variety so she was impressed by the work. Perhaps, one day, she could bring Lucas to this place.
"I'm going for seconds," Ji-ho announced while jumping up his seat.
"Okay," she said. "I'll finish a few more pieces and join you."
Ji-ho nodded before walking towards the food area again with a smile on his face. He hummed to the cla.s.sical song played softly from the speakers.
However, once he reached his destination, the worst situation had come to light.
All of a sudden, a sharp feeling ripped his chest, as if a different sword was stabbing his heart from all directions. His eyes widened as he placed his hand against his chest. Then the dizziness came, taking over his body and making lose his balance.
This can't be.
Not right now.
Why.
Darkness soon took over his vision, black spots sprouting until everything disappeared. He felt his body falling, slowly, until it hit the floor.
Screams filled the air.
