When she walked outside, Minhyun and Ji-ho had already set a fire. In Minhyun's house he already had an installed fireplace set in the middle of his patio. With the switch of a b.u.t.ton, the flames soared high in the sky. There was no need for wood or lighters.
Since they hadn't eaten dinner yet, today's meal was going to be cooked food near the fire. Ingredients such as sausages, sweet potatoes, different skewers, and corn were laid on the table. Ji-ho had suggested that instead of going to a restaurant, they should just cook it themselves. It was a fun and easy method.
Minhyun was reluctant at first. He wasn't sure how the food was going to taste. Nonetheless, he wanted to take part in it for the memories.
The two men were sitting on chairs talking when she joined the outside. They were talking about MH and possible future collaborations, if Ji-ho was able to.
Minhyun looked up. "You're here."
"Yup," she began. "Sorry that I took a while. The sand got stuck in the most unexpected places."
Ji-ho groaned. "Tell me about it. I swear every time I washed my hair, there was always a piece of sand falling down the drain." "It was the worst. Luckily I'm squeaky clean now," she said with a smile. Ji-ho looked her up and down, his eyebrows furrowing with disappointment. "I miss the old attire. The red swimsuit was fire." "Go to h.e.l.l." Ji-ho winked. "I'm planning to."
Yoona decided to quickly change the subject because she knew that their banter wouldn't end if she didn't cut it off. Since they had been out playing for hours, she was famished. Her stomach was howling for food. "Anyways, are we going to eat soon?"
Minhyun sent her a smile. "We were waiting for you."
"Thanks Mini," she said with a wink while sitting down. The heat from the fireplace warmed up her body as she closed her eyes to relax. This was so nice.
The trio began to cook their food. Since the chefs had prepared everything beforehand, all they needed to do was grab one of the ingredients [which was already placed on a stick] and cook it near a fire.
Ji-ho happily hopped towards his meal, glanced at the different options, before picking the sausage. A grand smile lit on his face. He sat back down and began to heat it up. The smell rose up in the air, making their mouths watery. While it was turning brown, he looked at the other two suspiciously.
"You know. There was a question that always lingered in my brain after the gala."
Yoona looked up. "Really? Ask away. I'll try to answer the best I can."
Ji-ho let out a happy sigh. "I can only rely on you Yoona. Minhyun would get mad at me if I asked this to him during our work time."
Minhyun glanced over and let out a grunt. "I only get p.i.s.sed if its a stupid question."
"My question is not stupid! But you'd still get mad at me! I know it for a fact."
Minhyun twirled his seafood skewer near the fire, his gaze not leaving the young boy's. "Then say it."
Ji-ho nodded. "Fine. My question is..."
There was a pause to raise suspense. His eyes went back and forth between the two. "Are y'all two dating or what? There's like this weird dynamic going on. I'm confused."
Yoona choked on her spit. Her eyes widened as she stared at the clueless Ji-ho. She couldn't believe that he asked that question. In all honesty, as the involved party, even she had no idea. This was the exact same thing she wanted to ask Minhyun! A sense of nervousness rose up from her body. How would he answer this question?
She glanced over at him, their eyes meeting.
She gulped. "Uh."
Minhyun cleared his throat. They've kissed. Acted as lovers. Slept together in the same bed. Were living with each other. Yet, there was a blurry line determining what their relationship status was. For once, he didn't know how to answer. They'd never explicitly made things official yet they had done lovey dovey actions that couples normally did. The amount of love that they shared was also at large.
In Korea, there is a concept called some, where two lovers are not dating but not single either. Right in the middle. Was that the relationship that they had? But why did he dislike that word so much? He didn't want to explain Yoona and his relationship as a some. It was more than that.
"You guys are not answering?" Ji-ho said. "Could it be that you guys don't even know?"
Yoona let out a nervous laugh and scratched the back of her head. "We never really talked about it." Ji-ho puffed his cheeks. "Well you better sort it soon." A mischievous glare was sent at Minhyun. "Or else I might just steal your girl."
