"Book? Are you there?" Naga asked but he didn't get a response. 'Sigh.'

He opened the book and looked for knowledge about s.p.a.ce and portal. He read the basic arcane for s.p.a.ce. This is one of the hardest arcane arts to master as per the book. According to the wisdom left by the old sages, it is best to build a foundation of your own s.p.a.cial awareness before practicing any s.p.a.ce arcane arts.

Distance and area, pattern and location, connection and separation. These are important.

However, as a recon scout as early as his childhood and as an experienced general in his old age, these topics are rather well known to him. He's a true martial saint who fought a lot of duels and combats as well so his perception and senses are supreme.

When he arrived, he frowned since he saw a young woman sitting on a wooden chair near his favorite corner. He felt like his territory was invaded.

The young woman looked at him and asked, "Who are you and why are you here?"

Naga observed the area and frowned again. He looked at the young woman. This girl is beautiful. Perhaps just a bit older than him right now. She has sharp brows, gentle eyes and perfect lips. She has fair skin and a long black hair which is as dark as night. Her presence are n.o.ble and bright.

"I'm sorry, I'm just a servant of one of the guests of this great hotel. My master is sleeping so I decided to take a look at this beautiful place. I didn't mean to disturb you. I'll go now." Naga said and turned around.

"Wait." The young woman said.

Naga stopped walking and turned around.

"This place is for everyone to enjoy. The trees here will not prejudice anyone, be it a king or a servant, do you think so?" the girl smiled and asked.

Naga looked at her and observed again.

"Then, I thank you for your kindness.", He lightly bowed.

He went to his favorite corner and climb the biggest tree. The beautiful girl looked at him.

"This tree won't mind me, right? Well, I hope so." Naga sat on a tree branch and leaned. He closed his eyes and smiled.

The woman smiled at him then looked at the sky, "Yes, it won't."

Naga can't summon the book now and train so he decided to just enjoy the moment and rest.

They never disturbed each other and stayed quiet for a while before the girl asked him, "What's your name?"

"Naga."

"Cool name.", the girl said.

"Thanks.", Naga responded.

"My name is Bella. Nice too meet you, Naga."

Naga opened his eyes and looked at the woman. This name is familiar. He heard it somewhere.

"Nice to meet you too." Naga smiled and bowed.

"Miss Bella, what are you doing in this place at this time by the way?"

Bella looked at him and smiled, "I escaped somwhere and decided to rest here for a while."

"I see." Naga responded to to her.

"There are people hiding here. Are you not worried? Perhaps I let you stay to protect me, do you think so?" She looked at him seriously.

"Well, the trees won't mind me doing that, right?" Naga smiled and stood up on the trunk.

He utilized his arcane. He used his power blessing and summoned the arcane bow.

The girl was surprised but she calmed herself.

"It won't. Thank you." Bella smiled.

'Swooosh!', Naga fired two flame arrows.

"Great." Naga responded.

Two wooded men fell down.

'Swooosh.', Naga fired another two arrows and after that two men were hit again this time.

"Four. Only four followed you. We're lucky." Naga said and smiled.

"...", Bella was truly shocked. She felt that this boy can help her but she didn't expect it to be this swift.

"Are you really just a servant?", she asked.

"There's someone going here. I think that she's a friend of yours." Naga said. He dispersed the flame bow.

Naga with the disappearing flame looks heroic and gallant.

"Thank you." Bella said and bowed.

"You're welcome." Naga smiled.

Naga was actually satisfied and happy right now. He was able to used s.p.a.cial awareness and he thinks that this improved his range and accuracy. He planned to develop it further too for a better s.p.a.ce arcane foundation.

"Yyo... Young Miss! Are you alright?!" An armored woman asked. She ran and immediately approached Bella.

There were guards following her.

"Yes, I'm fine." Bella asked.

"Good. Good. This city is becoming more dangerous now. Please don't sneaked out from the mansion anymore. You're killing us, you see?" The armored woman said.

"We're glad that the young miss is fine."

" Thanks G.o.d, you're fine. young miss."

The guards worriedly said. They were really angry right now. Some b.a.s.t.a.r.ds are messing with their City Lord Mansion's authority and prestige by trying to kidnap the younger sister of the City Lord.

"Those four are dead. who helped you?", The armored woman asked.

"Someone favored by the trees. He left without saying goodbye." Bella said and bitterly smiled. She was quite disappointed.

Meanwhile, two different powers errupted from the City Lord Mansion and almost everyone felt it. Some experts in the city shivered while others just looked at the mansion's direction.

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU DARED TO TOUCH??!!" a domineering and powerful voice was heard. The whole city trembled.

It calmed after a while and another voice was heard.

"For peace, I decided to investigate it first but.. don't push your luck too much. There won't be peace next time."

It was the city lord. This is not as domineering as the first voice but this is powerful and authoritive.

Naga's group woke up as well and after hearing the voice of the city, they were shocked.

Old Drun and Old Samuel went out of their rooms. Bill and the four elves went out and well.

What they saw was Naga eating at the table. He's eating the remaining food from their dinner. He really like the food here.

"What happened, kid?" Old Drun asked.

"Someone messed with the mansion." Naga said and smiled.

"Hey, it's not you, right? You didn't try to peek at the city lord bathing, right?" Nicholas asked.

Naga looked at him, "I'm not an idiot."

"Good." Nicholas said.

"Hahaha!" They all laughed.

This is not really their concern and they will most prabably get the information later so they decided to rest again.

It's 3AM now and Naga went to his room too. Now, he wanted a good sleep.
