Deathclaw walked forward with his men marching behind him. He handed his blaster and vest to the beastman next to him and cracked his knuckles.
"I'm glad you delivered yourself to me Tigra. Saves me the trouble killing all of our kind to get to you."
"The time for talk is past. Unit 737 by orders from Unit 1 you are to be killed on the spot and your men a.s.sembled into my ranks."
Deathclaw spat towards her. "In this new land, I am my own master. No one will take away my freedom, and that includes you Unit 698."
The beastmen backed away knowing that these two peak Core Builders were about to duel to the death. "Beastmen bear witness to this execution and know that one may never leave the Unit."
"Die! Steel Reaper!" Deathclaw's fingers glowed a silver aura turning them into stainless steel. He leaped toward Tigra, but she used Shadow Walk to get away.
"Mana Claws!" Deathclaw launched several mana infused attacks at Tigra. She quickly dodged each attack effortlessly.
"Fine then see if you can dodge my claw when I'm moving as fast as you. Shadow Walk!" Tigra was surprised to see the canine beastman use a feline variant's move.
The silver and black shadow clashed several times. Deathclaw used his Steel Claw, and Tigra used Shadow Strike. Neither one had used their trump cards yet. Both opponents were gaging the other's limits.
Leo had sneaked close enough to see the clashes in the air and the center of beastmen. The fighting was almost too fast for even him to keep up.
A beastman, near the building Leo was in, saw movement in the corner of his eyes. He figured it was a feline Unit setting up for an ambush. The canine variant circled the building and saw a large stone slab blocking the entrance. He jumped up on the roof and entered through a large hole.
"What was that?" Leo stopped watching when he heard a noise. "Someone on the roof." Leo gathered mana and set a trap at the doorway to his room.
The beastman walked through the building until he saw a human male looking out a hole in the wall. The beastman crept slowly not to let his weak prey know he was coming. Right when he stepped in the doorway, an earth spike shot down and impaled the beastman. He died before uttering a word.
Leo didn't even bother turning around and just continued watching the battle ensuing among the beastmen leaders.
Tigra was surprised that Deathclaw was this strong and fast. Most canine variants were only good at strength. Deathclaw was getting frustrated. He thought he closed the difference in fighting capability between the two of them.
"Wind of Shadows!" Channeling wind mana, Tigra doubled her speed. Her being able to use wind element was a close regarded secret. Using wind to lessen the resistance against her movements, she was now able to dodge all Deathclaw's attacks.
Deathclaw kept trying to use clash combat, but Tigra would easily escape. If he kept this up, Deathclaw would tire out and run out of mana. He switched to a defensive stance. "Silver Fur!" Deathclaw turned his hide into a spiky metallic coat.
Seeing him switch to defense, Tigra knew she would have to attack. She started to encircle Deathclaw to prepare for her next attack.
A cold wind blew across the battlefield. Both Tigra and Deathclaw sensed that someone was watching them both, but this just made them want to kill the other quickly to save mana for this threat.
Leo felt a chill too. He was familiar with a powerful being, and this reminded him of the Collector. Leo looked around in the sky and saw nothing. Then a spike in mana made him look back at the battle.
"AIR VACUUM STRIKE," yelled Tigra. Using wind to pull the enemy closer as she strikes them. Deathclaw's body blocked the attack like it was ineffective.
This was the moment that Deathclaw waited to happen. He grabbed Tigra and used a point-blank Mana Claw on her. An explosion erupted, and dust covered the battlefield.
Once the air settled, Deathclaw was standing in the same spot with not a hair out of place. Tigra, on the other hand, was bleeding all over and was heavily damaged.
Tigra was breathing heavily and was amazed at Deathclaw's defense. How could she, a lower unit number, be defeated by a more significant amount. She felt like a disgrace to her race and to Unit 1.
"Feline Release!" Tigra started to burn her life force. Tigra used Wind of Shadows to disappear. Deathclaw couldn't even keep up with her speed. "Air Vacuum Strike!"
A sonic boom of a punch smashed into Deathclaw. The force threw him into the crowd of beastmen. His metal fur was broken and cracked all over. Picking himself off the ground, Deathclaw looked around and couldn't see Tigra.
*Kaboom!*
Another sonic boom strike landed into Deathclaws back. Launching him back to where he started.
*Kaboom* Kaboom* Kaboom*
Strike after strike landed on him destroying his body. Bloodied and tired Deathclaw barely stood back up. Tigra was coming in for one final confrontation.
"Canine Release!" The canine version was less of an increase and more of a crazed mode. Tigra didn't slow and went straight for the head. Deathclaw took the hit but used Steel Reaper straight through Tigra's heart. The force blasted both into the crowd of feline beastmen.
When the dust settled, Deathclaw tossed Tigra's lifeless on the ground before her people. "I have won!" A figure appeared behind him.
*Stab*
A dagger made especially to piece steel was stabbed through Deathclaw's skull. Blood trickled down the edge and shock were in his eyes.
Shadow leaned forward and whispered, "this is for Lycan." She kicked the beastman off the dagger.
The crowd of beastmen from both sides were stunned. Both of their leaders died within mere seconds of each other.
