Hestia is eyeing the man in front of her and at the same time she is thinking of ways to beat the man if he ever have plans to harm them.

On the other hand Damon is still pondering on the emotions he felt for the woman infront of him. He never felt this confused in his entire life.

Feeling the akwardness between the two adults, Ichigo decided to break the silence in his own unique way. "My teacher told us that if a man and a woman stares at each other for a period of time they would end up marrying each other, and because I want both of you to be married I suggest that you continue staring at each other."

Hearing the words of her shameless son, Hestia's face burns from embara.s.sment. "Sweetheart what are you talking about! You can't possibly want such a gorgeous man to be your father, you should not aim to high Ichigo." Knowing her son, she knew that he will use his super ultra cutesy cat eyes to convince her but she is just an earthling and the man Ichigo wanted as a father is from a different world, a world so dazzling that a simple woman like her can't possibly enter. Just by looking at the man's suit, she can almost say that it costs almost a year of her salary. The guy in front of them is the real deal, although she believes that love knows no boundary but in reality it is still hard for someone with a humble birth to be accepted in the circle of the rich and famous.

Hestia loves her son so much, her top priority is to make her son happy but this request of his is just to impossible to accomplish. Knowing that she will break Ichigo's heart, pulverized her heart to ashes. "I'm sorry sweetheart but I can't marry him." Avoiding the impending sadness in her son's eyes, Hestia solemnly looked at the man. "I'm sorry mister for getting you involved in our family matters, please accept my sincere apology." To show her sincerity she bowed her head and she once again apologized for the inconvenience they brought for him.

Feeling the shaking hands of Ichigo, Orihime bit her lip to suppress her sob. She must be strong for Ichigo's sake, wiping the tears of her son, she felt defeated and useless. This is her nightmare coming true, she knows that someday Ichigo will crave for a father's love and that's what scares her the most. Her heart is still scarred and broken, she knows that it will be hard for her to accept a man's love and that is why she is giving all her love to Ichigo to compensate the lack of a father's affection.

"Sweetheart, mommy is so sorry for not giving you a complete family. Because of my selfishness you are now suffering, let me correct my mistake, do you remember my boss at the bakery?" Seeing her son nod, she continued "He said that he is willing to be your father, you once told me that he is an okay guy so I was thinking of accepting his proposal what do you think?"

If she is asked to choose between her boss and the rich guy, she will definitely pick her boss not because she loves him, no, she just had a very bad experience of loving a rich guy from her past and Hestia doesn't want to relive the pain and hurt she experianced before.

Ichigo is very sad, he really wants Damon to be his father. He have this gut feeling that Damon is the one who will complete their family, the short period of time they spend together is enough to convince him that Damon will surely love them but looking at his mom he can not impose his selfish wish. He may not know how his mom and biological father broke up but the one thing he knows is that his mom still sometimes cries at night because of heartache.

To be honest, Ichigo is contented with just him and his mother but he also wants someone to take good care of his mom. His ultimate goal is to make his mother happy although he is giving her joy, for him it is still not enough. He believes that his mom deserves a second chance in love, and Damon is the right guy for the job.

Listening in the conversation of the mother and son, Damon was baffled to hear the apology of Ichigo's mom. She doesn't need to apologize because he never felt forced and he did not mind being involved in their family problems because he already considers Ichigo as his son. Sorting out his feelings towards his son's mother, Damon felt the seed of love being planted in his heart and he antic.i.p.ates how this love will grow. Tuning in the conversation of the two, he felt the sadness emanating from them. He desperately wants to comfort them but knowing how serious the talk between the mother and son is, it will be presumptuous of him to b.u.t.t in. His decision to not interfere was thrown in the wind when he heard Hestia say that she will not marry him and that she is planning to marry another man.

"I think, no, I am sure that I am the only father for Ichigo." He then continued in his mind, 'and the only man for you.'

Hearing the serious voice of Damon, Hestia and Ichigo both looked at him differently. Hestia was looking at him with disbelief and with a bit of annoyance maybe because he interrupted their talk but he can not just stay still and do nothing to prevent them from being stolen by some random guy, he will put up a fight and he will surely win. Feeling confident, he gave Hestia a charming smile which in return was answered with a scoff.

Seeing the unimpressed look of Hestia, Damon felt refreshed. For the first time someone outside his family was not impressed with him, this is really new to him because everyone wants to be on his good side. Everyone are wearing masks around him to hide their ulterior motives but with Ichigo and Hestia their are no pretentious acts just pure raw emotions.

Damon's confidence was further given a boost by Ichigo's encouraging smile the kid even gave him a two thumbs up in which in return he also answered with the same gesture. Noticing the glare he was receiving from Hestia, Damon quickly hid his hands inside his pants pocket.

Damon who was not breaking the eye contact walked closer to Hestia. On the other hand, Hestia can not pull away from staring at Damon's eyes, she is like a moth attracted to the fire, she was completely under his control.

Feeling the tug on her sleeves, Hestia looked down at her son the sudden movement caused her neck to hurt, 'how long am I staring at this man for my neck to hurt?'. If it were not for her son pulling her sleeves, she might still be immersed from staring at this gorgeous man's eyes. Realizing her shameless ogling, her face became as red as a tomato, she wished to be swallowed by the ground.

Hestia's cuteness spearheaded towards Damon's unprepared heart, this almost cause him a heart attack. 'How could this woman be so cute and at the same time s.e.xy? This is surely a very deadly combination it almost caused me a heart failure.'

Hearing the man cough, Hestia peeked at the man through her bangs. Successful at grabbing Hestia's attention, Damon extended his hand for a handshake, Ichigo noticing his dad's intention looked up to his mother only to see that his mom was yet again in her own little world. Ichigo once again pulled at his mom's sleeve, "Mom it is already past my bedtime, can you already shake dad's hand."

Somewhat hesitant, Hestia shake Damon's hand. The slight contact of skin sent shivers all over their bodies, it was really electrifying.

"I am Damon Gray and I am a father candidate, which means your future husband." To emphasize his point, Damon kissed the back of Hestia's hand while looking straight at her tomato colored face.
