The week with Damon was a wild roller coaster ride. He loves to spoil them rotten, Damon pampers her and Ichigo too much that it was kind of scary, to think that he treat others like they are dust. He even cook for their meals from time to time, making it their unofficial bonding moment as a family.

Her negative impression of him was changing little by little. She mostly appreciated how loving he is towards Ichigo, Damon makes it to the point that Ichigo never feels fatherless. He always tells everyone who they meet that he was Ichigo's father making her son absolutely happy and for that she was really thankful to Damon.

But as they draw nearer the airport her heart begin to race. Her heart beat was too eratic that she might as well faint from too much nervousness.

Today was their flight to meet Damon's parents in their private island, she cowered at the last minute but Damon ang Ichigo rea.s.sured her that everything will be alright, their encouraging smile made her fight her doubts and fear but as they enter the airport she can not stop her hands from shaking.

Her previous worries and fears came crashing down on her like a tsunami, seeing the private jet made her froze to her spot. She saw how Ichigo skip happily towards the jet besides Damon, they look really excited about their family vacation but there she was frozen by fear of what Damon's parents will say about her and Ichigo.

She was too afraid that her son might get hurt if Damon's parents are close minded just like the parents of her ex-lover and Ichigo's biological father. They are sn.o.bbish and condescending towards the people who they think are not on their level, that's why she was hesitant to agree to this vacation.

She doesn't want her past to repeat itself specially now that Ichigo is involved. The insults, humiliation, heart break and grief she experienced before flashed before her eyes and it made her ready to flee but then she was engulfed with warmth. The feeling of security made her broke down, her sobs grew louder until she became hoa.r.s.e but the man embracing her never left.

Damon gave her comfort, from time to time he will caress her back, wipe her tears and kiss her forehead while telling her sweet promises of a happy future.

"Cry it all out sweetheart, weep until all the grievances and hurt inside your heart vanish. I'll only give you this moment to cry a river because from now on you'll never be alone." Damon cupped Hestia's face, gazing at her pained soul he swore to make her happy for the rest of their lives. "I'll be your shield from any harm, your saviour in times of distress, a good provider for our family and specially I'll forever be your generous lover." Damon winked at her making Hestia smile. Her smile brightened Damon's worried face. He wiped Hestia's tears away and kissed her forehead, he then leaned his forehead on hers, "Let me take away all your worries and nightmares, just give me a chance Hestai. A chance to prove to you that I'm worthy of your love. Please Hestia let me enter your world because for me, you and Ichigo already occupies my entire universe." Damon was pleading with his eyes, his love and sincerity is undeniably oozing from every pore of his body. For him this moment can either obliterate him to pieces or elevate him towards the heaven. He swallowed hard, he lost count at how many times he confessed to her and every time he was rejected but this case is different, he felt naked and vulnerable before Hestia. He's baring his whole person and it will be easy for her to crush his soul and leave it unrepairable.

Hestia saw the uncertainty in Damon's eyes but she knew he was determined to fight for her love and it made her heart swell. She's moved to know that someone can love her more than anything else in the world but her hesitation to accept was deeply rooted to her past experience. She was broken for a very long time that she was afraid if she can still freely be able to love without her past haunting her life.

"Hestia, look at me sweetheart." Damon was looking at her with all the love he can give. "You think that I'm going too fast with my confession but what can I do, we can not choose who we fall in love with and we can't tell how fast it will be to love someone, what I'm saying is that my love for you was never an impulse or a whim." Damon lead Hestia's hand on his heart all the while he kept his intense eyes on her. "Can you feel my heart beat? This heart beats only for you, it feels joy and contentment when your beside me or sad and agitated if you're not with me and mad and jealous of the flies buzzing around you. You opened my eyes to a beautiful world and all this emotions I'm feeling is all because of you. Hestia you gave me a chance to love someone unconditionally, so please don't reject me."

Damon panicked when he saw her tears, he kept on saying sorry and wiping the tears away.

When Hestia felt her heart calm, she looked straight at Damon's amber eyes. "Damon" She calmed herself farther by slowly inhaling and exhaling air, her eyes slowly opened and Damon can see how clear her blue eyes, it was like a sea after a storm.

"Damon, you don't need to beg because I feel that I am not worth it," Hestia pushed a finger towards Damon's lips to stop him from arguing. "I know were I stand and I am not ashamed to be at the bottom of the pyramid but I'm afraid that if I allowed myself to love you I'll only taint your name and I can't allow that to happen. You've been very kind to me and Ichigo so that's why I don't want your name to be dirtied just because your dating a poor woman like me."

Her selflessness is a remarkable trait but sometimes it is also her down fall. "I don't give a f.u.c.k about what others think or might say, they can talk s.h.i.t all they want and it won't bother me because they are just speck of dust on my shoe so you don't need to worry sweetheart, their nonsensical mumblings are insignificant to our relationship and don't be afraid as I told you earlier I'll be your shield. I'll protect you in harms way while you just relax, be beautiful and keep pampering me and Ichigo. Isn't a good deal."

Hestia smiled brightly, the sun finally broke free from the storm. "If you put it that way, how can this humble maiden refuse." Hestia laughed when she was twirled in the air.

Damon can not believe his ear, Hestia just said yes to him and it made him euphoric. He was too happy and his only reaction was too shout with joy and fist b.u.mping in the air. Thankfully the security inside the airport is air tight and that they were in an exclusive runway or else his cold as ice image will be in tatters.

Not far away from the couple, Ichigo smiled in satisfaction.

"Congrats kiddo!" Lance was really happy for his brother, he was worried that his brother will die lonely but now his brother's future will be full of fun and love.

Ichigo run towards his parents to congratulate them in their new found love. He will protect this happiness and he knows that his dad is with him.
