"What is he doing now?" Gary asked witha stern voice.

"I asked him to wait in the meeting room while the other transfer employee arrives" Daniel was shivering because of the pressure his uncle released over the phone. His uncle never spoke to him in this manner and Daniel was feeling very uncomfortable.

"Take good care of him and send some refreshments for him" Gary suggested well more like ordered.

"huh! isn't it a bit more?" Listening to this Daniel was in a daze. 'Aren't they treating him even better than him?' Daniel thought

"Just do what I ask you to do" berated his uncle.

After his conversation with his uncle, Daniel called and asked someone to send some snacks in the waiting room.

Oblivious to all this Alex soon arrived in the meeting room and as soon he settled down snacks was sent for him. Alex thought this might be because of Daniel feeling guilty for all the commotion he caused, such a "n.o.ble soul he is".

"Achooo!!" at the same in his office Daniel felt chills running down his spine. "Someone must be thinking ill about me, I need to be careful these days and not provoke unnecessary trouble". if Daniel knew that someone was feeling rather grateful to him he might spurt out blood.

Seeing a large number of utensils all over the table Daniel was shocked for a moment but returned to his senses soon enough.

"Yes we are friends" replied Alex with a smile, he was happy to work with someone he knew.

'He is even on friendly terms with her, even I have to be polite before her and she never spared me a second glance. Since they both know each other then his background might not be just simple so why did he go through all the trouble of those interviews for such an ordinary position and why did she suddenly decided to join the PR department?'

A lot of things were going in the tiny brain of Daniel and it was about to explode from all the possibilities he can come up with.

Meanwhile ignoring their PR head both Alex and Susan were talking merrily to each other.

"How come you are here? weren't you the receptionist?" Alex asked with a look of interest.

"Why? don't you like me being here?" Susan asked in a teasing manner

"No! No! it's not like that I was just curious you don't need to answer if you don't want to" Alex replied hurriedly in an embarra.s.sed tone.

"Haha! look at you flushed red like a tomato, relax I was just teasing you. Well it's nothing important I was just temporarily working at the reception and I too applied for the PR job yesterday" Susan explained.

"Oh! that is good, now there is someone I know here it will not be boring anymore"

As they were talking Daniel came out of his thoughts and when he heard Susan saying that she applied for the job he could not help but frown. Though he was not there for the interviews yesterday due to some "unavoidable important work" he clearly knew that her application form was not there and he was informed about her transfer in the morning itself.

Now the question is why is she lying to Alex and going by there talks it seems that Alex does not know about her family background and they are just friends. It was getting more and more complicated and as he was going to intervene and clear his doubts he got a deadly glare from Susan as if threatening him ' say a word and you won't see the rising sun tomorrow'.

Daniel was feeling miserable right now, first his uncle now she all of them threatening him without a single word of explanation. He was getting gooseb.u.mps thinking about his coming days.
