11 Ways to Forget Your Ex-Boyfriend Chapter 1 part2

I think I’m going hysterical. I can’t accept the things that suddenly just disappear because of Kate’s one click on ‘delete’ b.u.t.ton.

“You’re really a child of a–! Ah Sena, where is your brain? Is it in your b.u.t.t? No wonder why until now you can’t move on at least 1%. NO sign of moving on from you.”

I keep ignoring her. I checked my cellphone again. “You deleted his contact? And our theme song?”

“Yes I did, do you have a problem?!” Said in provocation.

“None. I can always download the song again and I memorized his number.” My answer to her.

“SENAAA! DID YOU LISTEN TO WHAT I SAID?!”

“Why are you shouting Kate!”

“Because your deaf! I said a lot of things earlier but I think you heard none of it!”

“What did you say?” I asked innocently.

“You listen,” she took my cellphone in my hand and throw it in the bed. She then touch my face with her both hands and look in my eyes, “Keeping anything that reminds you of your ex out of sight will help you think about him less. If you really want to get over him, you must keep yourself away from every part of him and the memories he left you. Do you get me, Sena?”

I gulp and feels like I lost my voice, “I..I didn’t.. I don’t get it, please translate!”

*WAPAK (sound effect of smacking)

“Ouch! You don’t need to smack me, it was just a joke. I was just trying to lighten the mode here! I get you. I will, if I really want to forget him I need to sacrifice and let go all the things that is connected to him.”

“It is good that you understand. Hmm..” She looks around my room, “Let’s start with his letters.”

“H-ha?!”

“What?! Do you oppose it? You said you understand?”

“Ah, yes. I said so.” I went into my drawer and took the box which contain all the letters from Allen, “Here it is.”

“What are the other things given to you by Allen?”

I took all the things that he gave me and all the remembrance of our relationship. We put it in sack, brought it down outside the house where we make a firewood.

“We’re going to burn it?”

“No, we are going to eat it!” Kate said sarcastically, “Of course we will, this way nothing will be left! And if nothing will be left, you will not see the things that will let you remember him, you will not think of him that much and not long he will be out of your mind and you will move on.”

I had no choice but comply to Kate. We burnt one by one the things that are connected to Allen. Before I burnt Allen’s letter, I read the first the of them and whenever I throw it in the fire I cry. Especially when we burnt Nami, the teddy bear that Allen gift me on our anniversary.

“I just killed my daughter!” I cant handle it anymore, I sat down crying. The pain in my heart is so enormous. As if every time we burnt something, my heart is breaking like an arrow shooting it.

“Oy, that’s just a teddy bear! Don’t be an OA, it’s not as if we’re committing a crime here!” Kate.

“Even so, I consider Nami as my child! Then we’re just burning it! She’s gone, she turned into ashes! She’s dead, my child is dead!” My tears  and snout is combining due to my incessant crying.

“My gosh. How did I last to have a bestfriend who have a problem in brain. The heck SEna, that’s just a teddy bear. TEDDY BEAR, not that guy! Get over it will you!”

My day finish with my crying because of all the things we burnt. I returned to my room and just said to myself… “Its gone…”

One week pa.s.sed since we followed way # 1. The first and second day, I mourned of all the things that were gone. But as the time pa.s.sed, I slowly returned to myself. I still think about Allen but not that much. It really helps when we remove all the things that made me remember him, it also helps that I didn’t see him anymore inside the campus. Somehow, it helps me reduced a little about him in my mind.

“What? Is it effective? Did you move on about Allen already?” Kate.

I put my hand on my chin, “Hmm.. I don’t think about him that much anymore..”

“Really? That’s a good sign!” Kate’s elated.

“Hmm.. yes it is, way # 1 is effective, if it’s in the past 24 hours he is on my mind but now its only 23 hours!” I positively said to Kate.

Kate’s mood change after I said that, which I don’t get. I thought I brought her a good new but she just frown at me.

“What? Just one hour less?!” Kate said in an angry tone.

“Why? Is it not a good news?” I ask, puzzled.

“Tsss! Well your right, only one week just pa.s.sed. Atleast there is an improvement, I can endure with that. Anyway, Is there a new note in your locker?” She ask.

“I still haven’t receive any. One week has already pa.s.sed, I’d really like to know the # 2. I want to move on.” I said as I open my locker. Before I open my locker, I pray first, “I hope there is a letter.”

As I open the locker a paper fell.

“Yes! #2 has come!” I said excitedly.
