The thumping made its whole fur tremble and the sound reverberated in everyone's hearts. It looked like an invincible existence that is declaring its commanding presence to the world, demanding that its opponent bow down to it.

That raging explosive strength of the opponent was intimidating, there is no denying that.

However, it paled in comparison with the brutish display of the Ape.

With a snap of his fingers, a hand gun appeared in his hands. At the same time, some grey colored energy is circulating in his left hand. But everyone ignored this. Because their eyes are glued to the Golden Ape.

There is obviously some rumor outside circulating regarding Sam's possession of some legendary beasts. However, they have never seen it and n.o.body who has seen it has lived to tell the tale outside.

He cursed inside his head and decided to make the first move.

He kicked the ground and jumped into the air, throwing an ax kick towards Sam and the ape. He is nowhere close to them and the kick was done mid-air, at a relatively high alt.i.tude.

It is a long range physical attack. The spiritual energy riled up and condensed densely before it slammed into the stage towards Sam and the ape.

Along with that, the opponent is also coming down.

*ROAR*

The ape roared and punched out at the coming kick.

*BOOM*

The collision of the attacks, sent a shockwave the shook the surroundings, the opponent stabilized himself and closed the distance between them. Sam and the ape moved to the either side, making the opponent land in between.

*SWOOSH*

He kicked towards Sam, but Sam just dodged and barely missed the kick. But the Ape punched the opponent from behind.

*BAM*

He blocked the attack and was about to throw a kick.

*BOOM*

Sam shot a bullet near the feet of the opponent. It wasn't aimed at him and it wasn't lethal. Its goal is to create a big enough shockwave to deal with the opponent's balance and it did. The opponent slipped slightly and his kick missed.

Ape caught a hold of his leg and dragged him.

The opponent slammed his other leg into the ground to stabilize himself. He then kicked up with that leg, aiming at the ape's huge chest, but the ape didn't give him the chance and pulled him to the side slamming him down.

*BAM*

The kick brushed past the ape, throwing to the side. The opponent let his body roll a bit, the ape regained its balance before he did and slammed its fists into the ground.

*BOOM*

The shockwave broke the stage as it moved to hit him. The opponent pushed the ground and stood up hurriedly.

But all of a sudden, he sensed a crisis. He kicked to the side, creating a shockwave to throw himself away, at that moment..

*BOOM*

A bullet was shot behind him. He just missed it, if he raised like he originally thought, he would have taken the bullet directly to his head. But still, the shockwave hit him, as he was falling down while facing the sky, he saw the giant figure of the golden ape falling towards him.

*ROAR* *BAM*

It slammed its fists into his head. The dust rose covering them completely. Ape instantly jumped back after landing the attack creating a distance. When the dust settled, the opponent is revealed. His hands are crossed against his face, blocking the attack.

They are trembling wildly, but he did manage to save his head from it. The intensity of the attack, can be felt by the ma.s.sive crater underneath him. The shock went through his body and destroyed the stage.

A stage set for the academy tournament… it is meant to endure attacks like these. But the ape's strength… it is a bit too wild because of its superior bloodline.

The opponent stood up and looked around.

Sam and Ape, standing in opposite directions of him. With an equal distance.

*SWOOSH*

His energy raged, the spiritual energy around him smelled like blood and looked like red vapor. His speed increased to the point, Sam almost couldn't track him. Almost…

His energy vision worked on hyperdrive and he could see the energy moving even before the opponent did.

Sam aimed near his feet and shot the bullet.

*BOOM*

The moment the bullet left the chamber, the recoil hit and he flew back, the bullet hit the ground right when the opponent came to that spot.

*BOOM*

Cursed energy flew out of the explosion and the opponent felt a stinging sensation all over his body.

*BAM*

The ape didn't give him a chance and slammed him on the head. He reacted in time to block it, but his knees caved and he was out of breath for a moment. He fell to his knees.

*BOOM*

Another bullet came at him. Not at him perse, it was aimed at the ground near his knees. The ground caved in and his knees went inside. He didn't even know what is happening. The ape already went back, even though it had the chance to make a move.

The opponent felt frustrated, as he broke through the stage and came up. His skin and face turned red. Not like it angered him, rather it is true red.

His aura changed and he didn't look like a normal person anymore. His veins throbbed and his eyes turned completely white, his armor and the robe were torn apart.

The bloodthirst and killing intent, even the referee looked astonished. However, Sam and the ape, both smiled.
