As Zeus looked at the screen, someone barged into the room.

It is a man with complete blue skin. He is almost seven feet tall and he looked like he is made of nothing but muscles. Chest as big as cobble stones and abs so detailed, it looked like the most a person could have. He had long flowing blue colored hair. His lower body is covered with blue colored pant like garments. They looked like they were made of the scales of the finest sea creature to ever exist.

His eyes looked like they could hold down the culmination of all the oceans in existence.

It is none other than Poseidon.

Zeus looked at Poseidon with a cold gaze. The screen was still there and he was still in that pose, but his gaze just told a lot. Zeus was not pleased by his brother's actions.

Poseidon was not intimidated by that gaze. The difference in their strength is not as exaggerated as the myths make it out to be. If anyone can fight with Zeus on equal footing with Zeus, then it would be Poseidon, excluding Hades and some extinct t.i.tans, of course.

"What are you doing here?" Zeus asked in a leisurely tone. Poseidon grunted and asked.

"Why was a decree pa.s.sed in your name saying that I cannot interact with my followers?"

"Because I pa.s.sed the decree. That's why it was pa.s.sed. What kind of stupid question is this?"

"Zeus, what right do you have to stop me from involving myself in saving my followers?"

"Because it involves my game, you idiot. I know that you were going to help the Thala.s.sa family. I cannot let you do it. Once you get involved the other G.o.ds will zero in on the Olympus. It would be another celestial realm war."

"You and your stupid game. I am not a partic.i.p.ant of it. Why should by abide by your rules?"

"Because, the whole of the Olympus was involved in the game because of the previous planetary defense task.

Just like how you all went and wreaked havoc in that planet where Sam defended your attacks, the G.o.ds from other realms went to different planets that provided similar tasks to other candidates.

There was a pact made by the G.o.ds in the game that we would all gather together and stop if any of the G.o.ds got angry and took it out on the students.

I was locked in that pack without knowing. Karthikeya and gambler pulled one over me for this.

So, all you can do is just stay put for now."

The argument went on for a while and Poseidon who was defeated, could only leave in a huff.

Zeus went back to watching Sam.

Back in the Academy realm.

Sam finished the surgery and they all recovered.

There is not much change in them. At least based on the looks.

The centaurs are still in the suspended state as they slowly drifted into a sleepy daze. They didn't know how long they stayed in that state. But by the time they opened their eyes, there was a path opened in front of them.

A path of bright light in that endless darkness.

They also could feel their own bodies. They could feel the slight breeze brushing past their skin, they could feel that p.r.i.c.kly sensation under their noses.

They could feel their mane, they could feel their legs and hands.

They could feel their own breath.

They felt delighted, if they could even feel that emotion, that is what they are feeling at the moment.

They immediately ran towards that exit.

They ran until they bathed in that white light. They didn't even care about turning into a black ma.s.s like they usually do. They didn't even use their strength, not even their spiritual energy, they just ran out like normal centaurs.

They were so delighted to the point that they didn't even feel slightest bit suspicious when the bright light path lasted for more than three minutes.

And then they saw the clear blue sky.

The moment they saw it, they were attacked.

Of course, this sense of danger made them come back to their senses and they dodged it. Their fearsome auras returned. They went back to being the killing machines and finally got a sense of where they were.

They were inside a city. That is all they could see.

Another attack came. They dodged and turned to look in that direction. An Elder from the Thala.s.sa family who looked pale and sickly is aiming his arm at them.

His cultivation is on the same level as the leader of the cavalry.

The centaurs, immediately a move. Their killing intent soared to skies as their shadows extended.

They soon merged together into one big black ma.s.s and they shot themselves towards the elder.

One hour later

Thala.s.sa city.

A city full of subordinates and descendants of the Thala.s.sa family is brought to its ruin. From the borders of the island where some training camps were arranged to the core center of the city, every single structure was destroyed.

Not even a single tree was spared. Everything was brought to ground. And the whole area was strewn with dead bodies.

The centaurs all stood at the center of the destroyed main building and in the middle of them stood the Head of the Thala.s.sa family.

"Y…Yo… You are Shadow Cavalry. Why are you attacking us? Why did you kill us?"

He asked as he tried to hold his breath in desperate struggle. Not to stay alive or fight back. Just to keep himself stay awake until he gets an answer at least. He didn't understand the reason for his death.

The sudden disease that started at the far ends of the Thala.s.sa influence and crept up to the family head and ancestors.

The unresponsive G.o.d to whom they sacrificed so many things for. The sudden surge of riots and rebellions from the commoners and enemies they trampled on before. The new age weapons that even let a mortal plan person kill an Astral Plane person. The weapons that let an Astral Plane person kill a divine plane person.

All of these dawned on the Thala.s.sa family at the same time.

And just like that, when he was trying to figure out a way to deal with these problems, the shadow cavalry arrived.

He knew of them of course.

Vlachous family is a Zeus Follower family, while Thala.s.sa is a Poseidon follower family. However, both of them are part of the n.o.ble league. In fact, Christos played a role in making Thala.s.sa family partic.i.p.ate in the quest to kill Sam.

It failed miserably.

But he didn't think much.

Now, all of a sudden the secret weapon of the Vlachous family is here and killed them. Worst of all, the whole family is sick and their strength reduced a lot.

Even though the Head of the family is several levels higher in strength, he was worn down by the shadows.

Now he is dying an unwilling death.

A centaur came forward and stabbed him in the heart finishing his plight.

Finally the centaurs looked at the surroundings and observed their own situation. They are now in an island with a planet full of water. They need to find a way out to get out of here. They found the wormhole soon enough and without hesitation used it.

They arrived in another Thala.s.sa territory.

It is one of the planets occupied by Thala.s.sa and the whole place is chaotic to the extreme.

"Who the f.u.c.k are you?"

One of the low-level elders who was there asked them immediately.

He is an elder from Thala.s.sa family and he was stationed there to escort the healers or other experts that came to help the Thala.s.sa family.

He is also sick.

Now as soon as he asked that question, he is dead.

The cavalry scouted the whole estate and found someone who has decent authority.

When that person was surrounded by the cavalry, he immediately knelt down and surrendered. Only then did the Centaurs stop their killing spree.

Even they were surprised by their level of aggression and the way they killed people.

From the moment they were attacked, they were filled with rage that they couldn't comprehend and they also noticed that their attacks are much more powerful than before. A tad bit stronger and the victims once got attacked by them exhibited a certain kind of behavior.

They don't know what caused these effects, but they do know that something weird is happening.

Only when they saw someone not put up any resistance, not so much as a question did they feel their urge to kill has cooled down.

Finally, they could communicate with someone and find their way out of here.

They inquired the man they captured. They need to go back to the Vlachous Family. And in their minds a seed is planted. A seed of vengeance.
