6. Ojou-sama, try perform shadow arts ​It is Sour Ninja Arts is a cheap snack that one pocket would include three gum. Within them, one is a sour confectionery for common people known as Russian roulette. I’ve often eaten them as a kid in my previous life, but why is such a thing here, I wonder? What appeased these ladies swarming together in interest was the nice voice that pa.s.sed by from Hitomi-sama.

The girls covered their bright red faces at Hitomi’s smile, almost as if this was some exchange for some sort of school arts festival. Following their idol’s words, they started heading towards their respective cla.s.srooms. Turning around, I saw Hitomi-sama and right behind her, Sumire-sama, walking in the opposite direction.

For some reason, it felt like Sumire-sama was walking wobbly as though she’s getting dragged along by clinging on someone’s legs. Her condition might’ve not been too well.

But, it’s weird!
Right! It’s the turn for the great detective Maria to stand up at times like this! There’s the thing about the rumours too, I’m quite interested in finding out the truth behind it. Although Hitomi-sama pressed everyone to head for the cla.s.srooms, there is still time before the bell rings…

Secretly following the two, I found Hitomi-sama and Sumire-sama standing face to face at an empty s.p.a.ce behind the back.

“Sumire”
“… hai”
“What is this?”
“Etto, it seems like confectionery”

It seems like Hitomi-sama was angry at something, and the poor responses of Sumire-sama… as I thought, is she feeling unwell I wonder? A-re? But the thing Hitomi-sama’s holding was the snack just then. Why’s she pressing the question to Sumire-sama?

And unexpectedly, Hitomi-sama was sharp tongued, even though the sweet expression she made always entranced the girls here… now this is another cold truth that's going ache their well-being.

“Doing something like that… it’ll cause great uproars if you get found out”
“While I was taking out the handkerchief from my pocket, ukaagyaa!”

Ah, my eyes met with Sumire’s, bad… it’ll be quite problematic if the fact that I was eavesdropping gets found out.

To get found out so easily like this… I must’ve not had enough training as a detective.

Might their secret have been this? The rumours of these two behind closed doors was actually because of Sumire-sama’s interest in bringing cheap snacks?

What kind of person did she think of me as? Well, the Maria up until now might’ve scorned at this point. Would she have said something like ‘to be fond of such things like food for commoners, you sure are ridiculous’.

“I won’t tell anyone about this, however, under one condition if I may add?”

I curled the corners of my mouth, smiling as I tilted my head, pointing out a finger.
