Devoured Eccentric 45 New Beginning

Rushing with the crowd, Nero caught a glance out the window to see over a dozen figures entering Gas Giant. With just a glance, Nero could look back onto what he previously saw without having to remember anything. One of the figures, evidently much larger, was the Captain, who carried an annoyed expression.

Half of the dozen including the Captain were crew members of the Gas Giant while the other half were children of varying age and, strangely enough, three almost completely identical boys in their early teens, of the colt's age group. There were also two kids, a boy and a girl, from the junior group and buff 5'5 guy from the senior's group.

Out of the children, only the buff guy looked normal, every other child had gone through the most gruesome experience in their life and were highly likely about to endure nightmares in the days to come. Their faces were stuffed with sadness, disgust, fear, anxiety, and any other debilitative emotion, you name it.

Sadly, Nero couldn't sympathise or empathise for that matter. Death had never been a bother to Nero without reason. Now, not even reason was needed to kill, when he had infiltrated the palace, ha had, for no reason, killed a guard even though he could've climbed the pillar to stay out of sight.

But he didn't. He had changed.

A few moments and thuds later, the new chosen were lined up in the lounge according to their age including Nero.

The youngest of them was also Nero, starting first, he reiterated himself.

"Hi, my name is Nero, I'm 7, and I have Demon level potential. My main weapon is a scythe and so I have proficiency in close combat." he bowed once more with a sweet smile. Unlike the others, he looked completely okay, as if he hadn't gone through what they did. It seemed that one of triplet brothers noticed and voiced out.

"How did he get here? He wasn't with us when we had to do that awful thing!"

"Nero does, in fact, have the determination to wipe away the evil, he was brought here due to special conditions before you maggots and did have to go through the test. Now, any more snarky questions?!"

The Captain replied instantly with a slight snarl as if expecting such a situation while all the others who were about to join in simultaneously shutted up.

Nero's sophisticated way of speaking was the irritable thing to the boy, he felt quite dumb after listening to a small boy speak in complex words he didn't understand.

The line continued on, the other two juniors were called Caleb and Stacey and both were ranged weapon users.

The triplet brothers were called Alan, Alex and Arthur. The 'Al' brothers were melee weapon users whereas Arthur was the ranged weapon user. Growing up together, they had always performed tasks in a team of three and once, on an expedition, had even worn out and killed a Baby Enraged Boar.

Just from this display of teamwork one could tell that they were very talented like the others. Every single one of the chosen was a genius in their own aspect.

Last of them was Sayen, the only Senior student in the new group and also, alongside Nero, the calmest.

Just by the looks of him, one could tell that this guy hit the gym 20/6 all day everyday.

After the introduction, the chosen started to socialise with the new. Most of crowd went to Nero and the triplets for their uniqueness.

Sadly, before they could barrage Nero with questions, he was pulled away by the Captain, leaving the crowd in awww.

Straight into the Captain's works.p.a.ce they went. Instead of being barraged by questions from the crowd, he got barraged by the Captain.

"What the h.e.l.l happened to Felicia? Her trainer said that she went to see you and has been missing since? Also, how did you even get into the Palace? Where is your Master? And because of you, we'll have to leave early to avoid suspicion of me hiding a suspect like you!" Nero calmly smiled through all of Captain's spout.

"Felicia sedated me and wanted to give me up to the Queen, I don't know how they have a connection. When I woke up, the only thing I could remember was getting needed in the neck by her.

"My master was the first thing I saw when I woke up in the palace. He told me to get your protection and leave to Mainland as soon as possible.

"My master was scared the Queen would want me, he told me she ate young boys bit by bi and was interested in me.

"Only my master would know what happened to Felicia or where she is, but he said that it was the last time we would meet when he left me in the Palace."

Nero spoke event by event, his facial features contorting into anger, then sadness, then longing all periodically. His tone also changed with what he talked about, becoming breathless with anger when talking about Felicia and quiet when talking about never again meeting his Master.

Not even the greatest of Actors and actresses could match up to the level of genuineness exuding from Nero.

"We shall depart now then, your Master must be a great Mainlander to avoid even the Queen herself! Quite a pity he has no intention to go back to Mainland." The old man sighed, he could've earned even more merit for bringing back a Slayer.
