Chapter 100 - Extra 7: Little Overlord Shao SiJia (1)

“SiJia, can you please make three copies of these doc.u.ments. We’ll show them to our customers later. Be careful, and make sure you don’t make any mistakes.” Shuttle Technology’s business manager Deng Han handed a few doc.u.ments to Shao SiJia. “Make the copies and give it to me in conference room 6.”

“Alright.” Shao SiJia didn’t say anything else and took the stack of thick doc.u.ments, before heading towards the copier.

This was Shao SiJia’s second month working in Shuttle Technology. She learned fast and soon became the best employee in her group. Deng Han thought highly of her.

After finishing her undergraduate studies, Shao SiJia entered a postgraduate course in a famous university. But as a result, on the first day of the semester, her graduate tutor tried to hara.s.s her and ended up being beaten up by Shao SiJia in his own office. It caused quite the uproar.

At first, the school wanted to protect the tutor. But Shao SiJia had a recording device on during the tutor’s attempts in hara.s.sing her, and so she directly posted the audio track online. She bought a spot in the hot searches at her own expense, so it was heard by a lot of people and caused a public outcry. In the end, the tutor was expelled, and the university’s reputation took a big hit.

To appease the public, the university wanted to keep Shao SiJia with them, but she simply quit school. Before she left, though, she also hijacked the university’s broadcast line and spouted abuse at the leader who tried to cover up for the tutor. It caused an irreversible separation between her and the university.

After dropping out of school, Shao SiJia reapplied to a famous foreign school and was successful. But since there were still a few months before the semester starts, she had nothing to do. Seeing that Lin Qian’s company was booming, Shao SiJia decided to send in her resume and apply for Shuttle Technology’s business department to help her younger brother for a bit.

Shao SiJia didn’t tell her brother. By the time Lin Qian noticed, she had already entered the company and was too late to stop it.

Fortunately, Shao SiJia really just came to work. She didn’t use her status as the boss’s family to do things. Every day, she would come in as a low-level employee and work as quiet as a chicken. As she was still in her probation period, in addition to her regular work, she would also run errands and do odd jobs for her boss.

This was the fourth year since Shuttle Technology was founded. Lin Qian and Ke MuZi were still university students, but their company already became a mythical figure in the industry.

In just a few years, Shuttle Technology had won five rounds of investment in a row, with the last round setting a new record for the highest investment given to a start-up. The company’s value was growing exponentially.

Along with ‘NOW,’ the live broadcasting software that helped them get into the market, Shuttle Technology had since launched several other products. With each one becoming the new innovative leaders in their trade, the company was steadily developing towards a diversified business model.

The company’s office had also moved from the small economic office s.p.a.ce to a new building in the city’s science and technology park. They directly rented an entire five-story building and greatly improved their image.

By now, Lin Qian and Ke MuZi had become the new superstars of the industry that no one dared to despise. They were constantly sought after by numerous investors. Fortunately, they applied to fast-track their studies two years ago and had already completed most of their courses in advance. Now, they only needed to take two cla.s.ses and write papers once in a while. If they hadn’t tried to balance their studies and work, they would’ve been completely swamped right now.

Shuttle Technology’s public copier room was near the front desk. Shao SiJia started copying the doc.u.ments and looked around in boredom. She watched as people came and went to the company. Everyone seems to be in a hurry. The atmosphere felt prosperous and lively.

When Shao SiJia was halfway done, she saw Deng Han lead two people in the company. She guessed that it was the two customers he was meeting with today. They were the people of a traditional goods enterprise who wanted to put advertis.e.m.e.nts on Shuttle product’s products. The money changing hands because of this is estimated to be quite significant.

Shao SiJia looked at the two people. One was a middle-aged man and looked like the project leader. Next to him was a very young and pretty girl. She should be a subordinate. However, Shao SiJia was amazed to see the middle-aged man be so obviously polite to the girl. He asked her opinion from time to time and didn’t dare walk in front of the girl.

Shao SiJia acutely concluded: They were from the same household.

Shao SiJia didn’t know why, but the girl seemed oddly familiar to her.

While Shao SiJia was busy pondering where she might’ve seen her before, the girl found her first. The girl quickly walked over, raised her chin, then said: “Shao SiJia, I didn’t expect to find you here!”

Shao SiJia still couldn’t remember her, so she could only modestly ask: “Excuse me, who are you?”

The girl replied: “What are you pretending for? I’m Tong SuHong.”

Shao SiJia was still clueless. “I don’t know you…do I?”

Tong SuHong was furious. She angrily replied: “I’m Liang YanQing’s girlfriend.”

Shao SiJia thought hard and finally remembered. “Oh, that sc.u.m man.”

Liang YanQing was the sc.u.m man she had thrown into a sack and beaten up several years ago. Shao SiJia had put some eye drops, ‘tearfully’ broke up with him, then gave him a good beating. Ever since then, Liang YanQing had since become obsessed with her. But unfortunately for him, Shao SiJia didn’t give him the slightest chance. Liang YanQing never got the opportunity to see her face again, and in the end, things were settled by leaving things unsettled.

After their break-up, it didn’t take long for Shao SiJia to completely wipe that sc.u.m man and his mistress from her mind. But who knew that the world could be this small? She unexpectedly encountered the mistress today. No wonder Shao SiJia thought that this girl seemed a little familiar.

After Tong SuHong saw that Shao SiJia finally remembered her, she immediately began settling old accounts. “When you broke up with YanQing, did you say a lot of bad things about me?”

Shao SiJia was a master who never let herself suffer any losses. When she broke up with the sc.u.m man, she deliberately pitted him and his mistress against each other. As the eyedrops dripped down her face, Shao SiJia told Liang YanQing that she had been threatened by his mistress, which made her decide to reluctantly leave for his sake. Afterward, she flicked her ‘tears’ away and happily departed. However, her performance left Liang YanQing and Tong SuHong in disarray.

Now, after several years, the relationship between Tong SuHong and Liang YanQing had stabilized. However, Tong SuHong still very much hated Shao SiJia because she knew that Liang YanQing still missed her.

Shao SiJia seemed to have become the white moonlight that Liang YanQing just couldn’t forget. Tong SuHong found this to be a complete eyesore.

However, not only has Shao SiJia wholly forgotten the two, but she also completely forgot the lies she told Liang YunQing. Shao SiJia bluntly denied: “I didn’t tell him anything. I just told Liang YanQing that you were a nice woman. I even gave you two my blessings. If you don’t believe me, then just ask him.”

How can Tong SuHong causally believe her words? She continued to question Shao SiJia. At this time, Deng Han and the middle-aged man named Ou Xiao approached them. Deng Han asked: “Miss Tong, you know SiJia?”

Deng Han had a smile on his face, but his heart was calculating. Based on his brief conversation with Ou Xiao, he knew that while Tong SuHong looked like a subordinate, she was actually the daughter of Ou Xiao’s big boss. The boss had a.s.signed his daughter in charge of this advertis.e.m.e.nt agreement between the two companies. Ou Xiao was actually just a helper, while Tong SuHong was the one making the decisions.

“An old acquaintance.” Tong SuHong’s lips hooked up, and she asked Deng Han: “What does she do in your company?”

Deng Han told her the truth: “She’s my department’s new employee and is still learning the ropes.”

“Oh, a rookie, ah.” Tong SuHong’s expression morphed into one of pleasure. “Rookies should be diligent and quick. Let her send us some coffee.”

Dread started to fill Deng Han’s heart. It was evident that Tong SuHong and Shao SiJia were in some sort of conflict. What’s more, it seems that this lady had a pretty bad temper. She’s probably going to torment Shao SiJia later.

Deng Han didn’t expect something like this to happen during their cooperation talks. He tried to quickly find a way to deal with the situation.

Tong SuHong saw Deng Han’s hesitation and became somewhat dissatisfied. “What, your newbies don’t even know how to make something as simple as coffee?”

Deng Han laughed and pasted on a smile. “Our company has people who specialize in making coffee. Our department isn’t responsible for this kind of work.”

Tong SuHong frowned. “How can she not do something as simple as this? Rookies should do whatever is asked of them, ah. How can they be choosy.”

What else could Deng Han say? But just then, Shao SiJia raised her hand and said: “Alright, alright. You go inside first. I’ll bring the coffee in later.”

This was the first time Tong SuHong saw Shao SiJia admit defeat, and it made her extremely delighted. Tong SuHong still remembered how firm and unyielding Shao SiJia had been all those years ago. But sure enough, no matter what kind of person, once they step into society, they would have to learn how to bow their head to reality.

Thinking that she could continue to humiliate Shao SiJia later, Tong SuHong’s mood improved. She stopped making trouble and willingly went to the office with Deng Han and Ou Xiao.

Shao SiJia made some coffee, then took it to conference room 6. On the way, she encountered Ke MuZi, who was being forced by the other programmers to rest and breathe fresh air.

Ke MuZi struggled to get back to his computer and complained: “Let me go, I can still code–”

Although Ke MuZi looked thin, his strength couldn’t be underestimated. The two programmers dragging him were unable to hold him down, and Ke MuZi ended up free. One of the programmers quickly said: “Boss Ke, please just do this one favor for us. You haven’t left your seat for six hours, ah. Just go pee!”

Because of Lin Qian’s slip-ups, ‘Boss Ke’ had become Ke MuZi’s official name in the company.

Upon seeing this, Shao SiJia walked over and placed her free hand onto Ke MuZi’s shoulder. “Boss Ke, please take a break when needed. You’re still young, so you need to be careful with your health; otherwise, you might suddenly collapse.”

Ke MuZi felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and immediately went quiet.

The other programmers: Boss Ke was tamed so effortlessly?

“Well, alright. I’ll go take a break.” Ke MuZi didn’t dare disobey Shao SiJia. He rubbed his shoulder and promised to go down and sit in the company’s small garden. But before he left, he looked at Shao SiJia and curiously asked: “How did you end up serving coffee?”

Shao SiJia thought for a moment, then decided to tell the truth. She simply explained the situation and said: “After today, I think I’ll resign and apologize. But you still have to remember to rest on time and take breaks in the future, alright? Don’t work so hard.”

However, Ke MuZi’s eyes lit up. “Ooh, so exciting. I’ll go with you.”

Shao SiJia: “….”

Shao SiJia couldn’t understand the thought process of this technology-oriented man. She curiously asked: “Shouldn’t you be trying to stop me?”

Ke MuZi raised his hands and replied: “Stop you, my a.s.s. It’s rare to encounter such an interesting drama, ah. Besides, it’s not like we’ll go under if we don’t get that small sum of advertising fees.”

“You have a courageous spirit.” Shao SiJia gave him a thumbs up. Then she raised her chin and said: “Let’s go, I’ll give you a wonderful performance.”

And so, Ke MuZi forgot about his computer and followed Shao SiJia into conference room 6 with eager eyes.

In conference room 6, Tong SuHong absently listened to Deng Han and Ou Xiao discuss the details of their collaboration. From time to time, she would glance towards the door, and eventually, Tong SuHong asked: “Why hasn’t Shao SiJia come yet? It’s just coffee ah, why is she so slow? Manager Deng, your rookies aren’t very good.”

Deng Han felt a little irritated, but he couldn’t disagree with her so he could only smile.

Ou Xiao knew Tong SuHong since she was a child, so he knew that this young lady had been spoiled since childhood. He knew that she was arrogant, so he could only softly remind her: “That isn’t urgent. Let’s talk about the collaboration first…”

But Tong SuHong was becoming impatient. “How is it not urgent? I’m thirsty.”

As soon as she finished this, the door to the conference room finally opened. However, two people came in.

Deng Han suddenly stood up. “Boss Ke, why did you come?”

Ke MuZi casually waved at him and pulled a chair to sit down. “I’m on my break, just looking around.”

Deng Han: “….”

Ke MuZi was usually obsessed with technology. How come he suddenly decided to waste time watching someone else?

Although Deng Han didn’t know Ke MuZi’s purpose for being here, he still felt uneasy.

This was the first time Ou Xiao met the famous young genius, and so he quickly complimented him. Tong SuHong acted high and mighty towards Deng Han, but to Ke MuZi, she restrained herself and specially made a few polite remarks.

Ke MuZi didn’t say anything. He simply placed his elbows on the table and held his chin like a child. He looked at them and said: “You go on and continue.”

As Deng Han and Ou Xiao nervously prepared to continue, Shao SiJia handed the cups of coffee. “Here, please drink.”

Deng Han and Ou Xiao took a cursory sip, then placed down their cups.

Tong SuHong finally drank Shao SiJia’s Coffee. She very proudly took a big sip.

Then, with a ‘pfft-‘ Tong SuHong spurted the coffee directly onto the table, staining all of the doc.u.ments.

With his hands still on his chin, Ke MuZi moved slightly back and covered his mouth to hide his laugh.

Tong SuHong flung the coffee cup away and furiously shouted: “Shao SiJia, what did you give me to drink?!”

Shao SiJia innocently replied: “Coffee, ah.”

Tong SuHong roared: “Coffee? Do you even know how to make coffee?!”

“No way.” Shao SiJia calmly explained. “As my boss said just now, our department isn’t in charge of making coffee. Since you wanted me to make coffee, I could only try and do something random.”

Tong SuHong’s chest heaved. If it hadn’t been for the other people around her, she might’ve started to scratch Shao SiJia. She gasped for a while, then suddenly turned her head towards Deng Han. “Manager Deng, is this the kind of employees you hire here?”

Deng Han was already sweating. He hadn’t expected today to be the first time Boss Ke visited and watched him work. What’s more, he certainly didn’t expect the usually polite Shao SiJia to suddenly do such a thing.

Deng Han quickly turned to Shao SiJia and covertly winked at her. “SiJia, you should quickly apologize to Miss Tong, then give her another cup.”

Shao SiJia hadn’t answered when Tong SuHong already spoke up: “How can a cheap apology solve something like this?”

Deng Han placed a hand on his forehead. “Then how do you want to solve this, Miss Tong?”

Tong SuHong pointed towards her cup of coffee. “Shao SiJia, drink this coffee that you gave me.”

Deng Han: “….” Well, Shao SiJia really shot herself on her foot.

Feeling like his tongue was in a twist, Deng Han said: “SiJia…”

Shao SiJia crossed her arms on her chest and raised her nose higher than Tong SuHong. She said: “Who do you think you are?”

Deng Han: “…??”

Wait a minute. Is this Shao SiJia’s true personality?

Deng Hand’s heart suddenly jumped.

FML, this was not good! So all this time, Shao SiJia was just pretending?

If so, then today will end really badly, ah!

Deng Han wanted to cry. Trembling, he looked towards Ke MuZi, but he saw that Ke MuZi stayed silent and was simply covering his mouth. He seems to be trying to hold something in. The important thing was…the corners of his eyes were curved!

Deng Han: “…???”

Wait, boss, what are you doing?!!!

Tong SuHong initially thought that she would finally be able to lord over Shao SiJia. But unexpectedly, Shao SiJia didn’t even pay attention to her status as a client! In a flash, Tong SuHong felt embarra.s.sed. She was so angry she had no other choice but to put pressure on Deng Han. She said: “Manager Deng, I didn’t realize your company hires employees like this. I don’t think the collaboration can go through.”

Deng Han wanted to die right then and there. In front of his boss and his employee, this lady was trying to stab him, ah.

Deng Han looked at Shao SiJia pitifully. “SiJia…”

“That…” Ke MuZi finally managed to control his smile enough to speak. “Listen to me first.”

As soon as he spoke, Tong SuHong and Ou Xiao finally remembered that there was a big boss present. Tong SuHong immediately said: “Boss Ke, look at what your employee has done!”

Ke MuZi nodded, then turned to Shao SiJia. “Employee, you went a little too far.”

Shao SiJia nodded. “I know. That’s why I quit.”

Ke MuZi also very simply replied: “Alright, I approve of your resignation.”

After that, Ke MuZi turned towards Tong SuHong and said: “As you can see, she’s already resigned. She’s no longer our employee.”

Tong SuHong: “…??”

Deng Han: “…??”

Deng Han wanted to say: Boss, aren’t you a little bit too perfunctory?

However, Tong SuHong refused to give up. She said: “Even if she resigns, she has to drink that cup of coffee first. Otherwise, I won’t collaborate with your company.”

Ke MuZi made a helpless expression. “I can’t do anything, ah. She’s no longer our employee, so I can’t tell her what to do.”

Deng Han: “…” Why does he feel like it wasn’t that the boss can’t control Shao SiJia, but that the boss is shielding her?

Tong SuHong continued to threaten: “It seems that you don’t want this collaboration?”

Deng Han started: “No…”

But Ke MuZi waved his hand and interrupted him. “Of course we want to. But it’s not like we absolutely need it.”

Deng Han: “….”

No, wait, boss. Have you thought this through, ah?

Ou Xiao had been in a work environment for many years now, but this was the first time he met a boss like this. He was confused for a moment. But he quickly went to Tong SuHong and advised: “SuHong, why don’t you calm down first…”

Honestly, Ou Xiao was feeling a bit anxious. Although they were the customers here, and they were the ones paying, Shuttle Technology’s products were the best network platforms right now. Their company needed this collaboration just as much as them. If a new employee ends up messing up their collaboration, it would be difficult for him to explain things to the boss.

But Tong SuHong was already on the verge of a rampage. “No! Shao SiJia has to drink this coffee. Otherwise, our collaboration ends here today.”

“Alright, fine. This coffee will be finished.” Shao SiJia had run out of patience and cracked her knuckles. Then she dragged Tong SuHong and pushed her to the table.

Tong SuHong was stunned at the sudden predicament she was in and cried out: “What do you want to do?”

Shao SiJia’s tone was relaxed as she said: “Please drink the coffee.”

Tong SuHong’s expression turned to one of panic as she began to struggle. “You…let me go!!!”

But Shao SiJia was as steady as a good old dog, and Tong SuHong didn’t have the strength to move away.

Ou Xiao was so shocked. He tried to pull Shao SiJia off Tong SuHong but was subsequently kicked away.

Deng Han was also stunned. He called out: “SiJia, stop!”

Only KeMuZi was the only one who remained calm. His eyes lit up as he faked concern and said: “Ah, ah. You can’t beat her. Go and call security.”

Ke MuZi pushed Ou Xiao and Deng Han out of the room, then followed them out. He left the two women inside some parting words: “Ex-employee, we’re going to call security, so don’t mess around, ah!”

And then the conference room was shut.

Tong SuHong: “…??”

It doesn’t take three people to get security, right? If everyone leaves, there will be no one left to save me!

“Go on, I’ll stay here and watch.” Ke MuZi told Ou Xiao and Deng Han this, then watched them run off to get security. Then, he stood guard just outside the door, quickly pulled out his phone and connected to the security cameras, then watched the live broadcast of conference room 6 with great interest.

By ‘watching,’ Ke MuZi really meant that he was just going to watch.

The main reason that he trusted Shao SiJia. Although she had a violent temper, she would never hit a girl. Of course, getting people to drink coffee was harmless.

So when Ou Xiao and Deng Han finally led the security guard into the room, Shao SiJia was already calmly sitting down. Meanwhile, Tong SuHong was sitting far away from her, looking like she had nothing else to live for.

The security guard was expecting chaos and violence, so he was unprepared for this peaceful scene. He could only stare at them blankly.

“Call the police! I want to have her arrested!” Tong SuHong shouted.

Shao SiJia glanced at her and asked: “What are the charges?”

“That, that…” Tong SuHong was dumbfounded for a moment. Shao SiJia didn’t hit her. She just forced her to drink that horrible coffee.”

And made her pride experience an inedible trauma.

“You hit me!” Tong SuHong insisted, even though it was a lie.

“Are you hurt?” Shao SiJia laughed. “Or did someone see me hit you?”

“They saw it!” Tong SuHong pointed towards Deng Han and them.

Shao SiJia looked at Deng Han and asked: “Did you see?”

Ke MuZi poked his head in the room and said: “Nope. They all ran away to call the security guard just now. They didn’t see you hit her before that.”

Tong SuHong was furious. “You’re covering for her?!”

Ke MuZi looked very innocent as he replied: “No, I’m just telling the truth. Miss Tong, do you have any evidence? If so, we’ll cooperate and go with you to the police.”

Tong SuHong: “….”

Ou Xiao was feeling quite embarra.s.sed at this point. He pulled at Tong SuHong’s hand and said: “SuHong, why don’t we go back first?”

Tong SuHong was very unwilling, but she couldn’t do anything. There was no evidence, and there was no one who helped her.

She could only spout cruel words. “This collaboration is over.”

Tong SuHong then looked at Shao SiJia hatefully and said: “I’m not going to let you go.”

Shao SiJia didn’t move and simply replied: “Then I’ll be waiting for you.”

Tong SuHong and Ou Xiao left Shuttle Technology in embarra.s.sment, and the security guard was also sent away by Ke MuZi.

Deng Han, who’s legs had become soft, fell onto a chair. He wanted to cry, ah. He said: “Boss Ke, I really had nothing to do with this.”

“I know.” Ke MuZi waved his hand. “You can’t do something as wonderful as that.”

Deng Han: “??!!!”

Why is the boss still acting so proud, ah?

If things continue like this, won’t our company die?

Do I still have time to change jobs?!

The author has something to say:

I originally planned to finish Shao SiJia’s extra in one chapter, but I didn’t expect to write so much…her story isn’t finished yet!

This chapter was a little too long but not long enough to split.

Shao SiJia the queen haha. And Ke MuZi just be eating melon seeds on the side.
