Chapter 1039: You have some of my style when I was young
Dr. Charles Moore’s laboratory was a basic laboratory and was not in this building.
Led by Brock Leisner, they took a shortcut and arrived at a modern – looking building after about ten minutes.
After entering, they walked to a laboratory after many turns. Brock Lesner introduced,””This is Dr. Charles ‘laboratory.”
Zheng Ren could smell a faint sour smell even before he entered the house.
No matter how high – end the laboratory was, it was difficult to avoid this smell. There might be some unknown poisonous gas that could cause serious harm to the human body.
This was also a problem for basic researchers.
Brock Leisner went ahead to say h.e.l.lo to Dr. Charles, followed by Zheng Ren and the others.
“Dr. Charles, I’m very sorry for what just happened.” Zheng Ren bowed slightly to show his respect to an experienced scientist and doctor.”Because there’s still a surgery lesson from TIPS this afternoon, so …”
Professor Charles waved his hand and interrupted Zheng Ren’s apologetic words. He motioned for Zheng Ren to sit.
“You did an especially good job in the surgery.” Professor Charles said in a low and slow voice,””It’s very good. It’s very similar to the style of my surgery when I was young. ”
If anyone else had said that, Su Yun would have slapped him.
However, when these words came out of Dr. Charles Moore’s mouth, it was a kind of praise, a kind of praise, almost to the extreme of recognition.
Zheng Ren smiled.
“I looked up the recommendations for this year’s n.o.bel Prize and saw your name.” Professor Charles didn’t beat around the bush and went straight to the point,””Young man, I feel a sense of familiarity after watching your surgery. So, I want to give you some advice. ”
Zheng Ren sat up straight and listened attentively.
“In 1944, Dr. Moeniz discovered that after removing the frontal lobe of the brain, the experimental animals would go from a manic state to a calm state. So, he gradually turned this research into a clinical surgical technique and won the n.o.bel Prize in Medicine and Biology in 1949.” Professor Charles said softly.

Zheng Ren knew about this matter, and it had been bothering him.
Ever since this incident, the n.o.bel Prize in Medicine and Biology was no longer awarded to clinical surgical methods.
Even for a surgery like kidney transplantation, which had been proven to be a complete success, the n.o.bel Prize was still given from the perspective of basic research.
“I think you already know that this surgical method is called the disgrace of the n.o.bel Prize.” Said professor Charles.
Zheng Ren thought to himself,’the Peace Prize is the real shame. Why don’t you say that?’ However, this involved different values, and Zheng Ren did not want to clash with Dr. Charles’s worldview here.
Therefore, he only criticized him in his heart.
“What I mean is that you’re nominated for a new surgical method, so it’s a dead end for you.” “Based on my understanding of the n.o.bel Prize judges, they’re conservative and inflexible. It’s absolutely impossible for them to let a clinical procedure pa.s.s the review and win the n.o.bel Prize,” professor Charles said.
Zheng Ren knew that, so when he heard Dr. Charles’s words, he felt a little sad.
“Young man, you finally know why I gave up clinical work and devoted myself to basic research when I was forty – two years old, right?”
“It’s to win the n.o.bel Prize. ” Zheng Ren replied.
“Yes, it’s a dream.” “My suggestion is that if you want to win the n.o.bel Prize, you should give up clinical work and devote yourself to basic research,” professor Charles said. I think, with your talent, you’ll be able to find the way to the n.o.bel Prize in the complex basic research. ”
“If you don’t want to give up on clinical work, then give up on the n.o.bel Prize. Actually, after getting it, looking back, life seems to have become very boring. ”
Dr. Charles’s voice was faint and distant. An old man covered himself with a blanket in front of the fireplace, holding a cat, and telling his children and grandchildren about his bizarre life experience.
“I will seriously consider your suggestion.” Zheng Ren replied with certainty, but he did not make a choice on the spot.
Although it was said that adults didn’t make multiple choice questions, this was just a joke. There were choices everywhere in life, so who wouldn’t make a choice?
However, the choice that Zheng Ren was facing was a major choice in his life.
Should he give up on Clinical Surgery for honor, or should he give up the n.o.bel Prize for persisting in Clinical Surgery?
Professor Charles just smiled and began to discuss the fusion of the sympathetic kidney and the renal artery with Zheng Ren.
This time, Brock Leisner, who was standing on the side, suddenly perked up.
He listened attentively.
Although Dr. Charles only took a glance, his understanding of anatomy was extremely profound, the kind that went deep into his bones.
For many things, he only needed to look at them once. He could come up with many new ideas, opinions, and plans to improve them.
Zheng Ren, on the other hand, had another method.
He had dissected almost a hundred cases and conducted experiments in the operating theater of the system, and he had a deep understanding of this research.
One was a.n.a.lyzing from a broad perspective, while the other was explaining from a practical basis. The old and the young were having a particularly happy conversation.
Both professor Charles and Zheng Ren were enlightened.
However, the one who gained the most was Brock Leisner.
He never thought that the study of perceptual gonolypathy could have so many research directions and details.
Although he had been doing this research for a few years, and there had been successful cases before, which provided ideas for the treatment of stubborn high blood pressure, he was still unfamiliar with many of the ideas.
It was so unfamiliar that it took Brock Leisner a long time to understand the content of the conversation between Dr. Charles and Zheng Ren.
This was pure academic research, and it belonged to the scope of basic research.
Almost an hour later, professor Charles was a little tired. Zheng Ren stopped the conversation and was about to leave.
“Young man, maybe you can also choose to study hypertension.” Professor Charles gave Zheng Ren a final suggestion.
If it was a research technique, it would definitely not work. However, the doctor felt that with Zheng Ren’s solid foundation, if he devoted himself to scientific research, this project would definitely have a breakthrough.
It could be five years, it could be ten years, it could be twenty years, who could say for sure? It was a miracle that he had won the n.o.bel Prize in the nucleic acid project for twelve years.
Perhaps, he could break this miracle.
Zheng Ren didn’t reject her and just agreed very politely.
Walking out of the Research Inst.i.tute, Zheng Ren felt that he had gained something. His brain was working very fast, and he was still reminiscing about the conversation with Dr. Charles.
Su Yun and professor Rudolf Wagner were both very depressed. If they had known this was the case, they would not have let Zheng Ren see Dr. Charles.
Su Yun returned to the main entrance of Maio and bade farewell to Brock Leisner. Just as she was about to say something, she suddenly saw a familiar figure walking out of Maio.
