Coincidence Or Fate 6 Chapter 6 - Career

I can hear the sound of my phone ringing none stop but I was too tired to even get up and picked it up. Since it was the weekend I didn't really have any plans to go out nor did I made plans with anyone to go out too. Even though some of my high school friends does know I've come back to England I hardly see them, since we are all busy with work and some are finishing there masteral degress.

"Ah..." I said with an irritated look on my face.

"Who the heck is calling me 8 in the morning and its a f*cking weekend." stretch myself up of bed and looked at the alarm clock on top of my bed headboard.

I got out of bed and unplug the phone with I felt charging on my desk. I was still so exhausted that my eyes were so tired to even open up. I could not read the name on the phone properly and did not even bother and just answered the call so I can get some more sleep.

"h.e.l.lo..."

"Ange, finally you picked up." the sound of the voice p.i.s.sed me off more. I felt like shouting and punching the person on the other end.

"Boss, why the f*ck did you call me 8 in the morning."

"Hey, Lady mind your language or else I wont tell you something good."

"Boss, I really am not in the mood for gossip right now."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes, I'm really sure..."

"Well then... Since your not in the mood for gossip please come to the bar right now and if you don't if your fired."

"What the f*ck!?"

"I'll give you 30 minutes to get here."

"Boss are you out of your mind?"

"See ya..." then he hungged up the phone.

"Bloodly h.e.l.l, what the f*ck was that all about." I continued to screamed my lungs out. I was so p.i.s.sed off and angry early in the morning.

I looked at the time and noticed I have 27 minutes left. I didn't bother to even take a shower. I just brushed my teeth and put on some cloths. Didn't even brush my hair nor look at myself in the mirror. I only have 30 minutes and I have already wasted almost 10 minutes. The fact it take 30 minutes to get there means I have to run to make sure I can keep my job.

As I arrived and run inside the bar. I shouted and looked for my boss. I was exhauster and out of breath. My knees were trembleling so badly and I could not hold myself to stand any longer.

"Boss, what the heck do you want me for. When the bar is empty."

As I looked inside to were the boss was, I was the boss sat down in a chair in front of him was a old man drinking a cup of coffee. I was shock to see the old man and embara.s.s for myself for screaming so loudly. I felt like running away and exit the door to avoid all this awkwardness between us. They did not say a word when they saw me and just starred at me. The man eyes were fix with me as if he was pleased to see me as well.

"Boss, I see you have company. I'll wait outside for you."

"Where are you going?" he said as he stood up and grab me to sit down with them. "This is Mr. Davis."

"h.e.l.lo, Mr Davis my name is Angelique." I said while I offered a handshake. "I'm sorry about earlier, I expect anyone would be here."

"Its nice to meet you Angelique and don't worry about it."

"Thank you Sir."

"Well I'll leave you two to it." then the boss left us alone and I was confuse of the situation I was in right now. My mind keep think have I offended this person by change, am I in trouble, who the heck is this person and why does he staring at me in a delightful way.

"I'm very please to meet you Miss Angelique."

"Please, Angelique will do."

"Well then, let me be frank with you."

"Sir before you say anything, have I offend you or cause you any harm." I blurted out in fear and worried that I'm going to be in trouble. But the man did not say anything and instead laughed. I was confuse to why he was laughing and felt even more embara.s.s. I did not say a word anymore and kept my mouth shut.

"No you haven't, in fact I am here to give you an offer." he said while pulling a card out of his blazer pocket. He hand the card towards me with both his hands. The card has his name and a name of a company on it.

Wait isn't this one of the top recording company in Britain. Why is he offer me a card? What the heck is going on?

"Let me explain, last night I saw your performance and I was truly impress. When you left I tried looking for you but the manager said you left already since you only work part time. We tried calling you last night but you weren't answering so we thought you were asleep." As he mentioned that they called last night. I took my phone out of my pocket to check the call log and there it was more than 50 different missed calls from the boss and my colleagues. I didn't notice nor heard the call since I was busy playing all night with my brother. I felt ashamed now knowing the whole story specially I yelled and screamed at the boss.

"Sir, last night... about that I'm really sorry... I was distructed by someone and wasn't able to answer you call."

"Its fine, now that you are here I wont take too much of you time and be up to it. I'm here to offer you a career."

"What do you mean?"

"What else... to be a singer."

When the words came out of his mouth I was so shocked that I couldn't respond immediately and instead was frozen solid on to my chair. I was like a status that didn't even whink. The words he said confused me at the same time made me worried. I though to myself 'Was this a joke?'
